I Want To Hold Your Hand (Tony perry; Pierce The Veil Fan Fic)

Chapter Two

JOSS POV-
Two hours and eight minutes later we had finally arrived in San Diego, California. At the beginning, during take off, I couldn't stop myself from taking deep breaths and gripping onto the arm rests. Sage was lucky enough to be seated next to me by the window, while Kibb and Fern were seperated in the middle seats. Sage had to talk me down to reassure me that it'd be okay. I know, I know, you're all thinking I'm such a big baby, but I can't help it. I don't like that feeling of everything inside of me lifting up; it makes me feel as if I'm falling.
We waited at baggage claim for all our luggage, of course most of it was Kibb's, and then we'd pick up our rental car. I had caught a glimpse of my Volcom suitcase and was gonna walk down to grab it instead of waiting for it to come to me. "Hey, I see my bag I'll be right back." I told Fern who nodded in response. After a few excuse me's and a helpful but rude bump into someone, I made it to my bag. With an accomplished smile I reached for it and tugged, but it had been piled up by some other luggage. Struggling to pull it out someone reached over a yanked it out for me.
I looked over to who had helped me and I found myself stunned for a moment. It was a guy, much taller than me, he had red snapback and a grey hoodie, but that wasn't enough to shadow his features. He had this eyes that were doe like and a piercing right below his left eye on his upper cheek. But then he quickly lowered his head hiding himself in the darkness. Maybe I made him feel uncomfortable? I grabbed my suitcase and smiled at him. I said, "Thanks for helping me with my suitcase." He silently nodded and grabbed his suitcase off the ground, leaving it at that.
I watched as he pulled his suitcase behind him, with a back-pack on his back and decided I should head back over to the girls. With a shrug I pulled my suitcase behind me and thought nothing else of that guy.

Kibb managed to get us a jeep for our rental and at a decent price for the one week we would be here. Of course, she promised to go on a date with him tomorrow night. "I don't know how you do it Kibb, but you do it well." Fern said as she shut the door to the drivers side. Fern was the first to drive, we had decided to all take turns each day that we'd be staying here. Kibb flipped her dirty blonde hair and said, "It's a special gift my friends; I can thank my father for that. The two timing scum!" Kibb's father had a way with women even after marrying Kibb's mom and having her. By the time Kibb was 5 her mom and dad had filed for a divorce due to adultry. "We'll you're a darn good heartbreaker." Sage said as she ruffled through a ufc magazine. "And you're good are breaking things or people in general Sage." Fern said causing us all to laugh.
We had decided to go to our hotel first to check in and get situated. All of us agreed to go all out and get ourselves a 4 bedroom suite. "Compliments of my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mallors." Fern said as she did a little happy dance. Fern's parents had the money from their national touring business; so luckily we got a "once in a lifetime" deal that not anybody other than celebirties get. Lucky us huh? Maybe more like, lucky me.
The moment Fern had led us to our Suite's door I already knew it was going to be beyond anything I could ever imagine. Boy, was I right. "Here we are ladies!" Fern cheered as she pushed opened both doors that presented a massive entrance that led to a huge living room, flat screen tv (the largest there is), and huge ceiling to floor, glass windows that showed the city of San Diego. I stood there for a moment just taking in the area and the view. "It's amazing." I whispered to myself. "You really out done yourself this time Mallors." Sage said in astonishment. Fern clapped her hands together bringing me out of my stupor. She announced, "Alright, Joss your room is on the right, left hand side. Next door is Sage, Kibb and I are on the left side."
I walked over to my room door, where my name was taped to the door on a post it note. I smiled peeling it off and shoving it into my purse. Opening the door caused me to squeal out of amazement and joy. The bed was three of my bed put together plus another three to add height. There were pillars on the two ends, just like in the movies, also a vanity area to sit and put make up on. There was the bathroom that had a glass shower, the toilet and then a lion's claw tub! "Am I in hotel heaven?" I asked myself.
Next I checked the closet, well the walk-in closet. There was a shoe rack, a clothing rod with hangers lined up on them, and a set of drawers under the clothing rod. The space was unnecessary, but I had appreciated it none the less. The last thing I wanted to do was check out the balcony. I hurried over to the balcony doors and found myself captured in the sweet chaos of San Diego. It was an exhilirating feeling that swimmed through my body bringing a smile to my face.
By the looks of things so far, my trip is getting better and better.

Un-packing was a major chore I did not enjoy very much knowing in the back of my head that I would have to pack everything up all over again. I had gotten down to the last load of my clothes, which were my undies, socks, and shoes. Sadly, the shoe rack was wasted since all I had brought were, my two pairs of vans, faded brown ankle boots, a pair of wedge sandals, and my sailor beach flats. "What a waste of a good closet." I thought to myself.
Just as I had tucked my suitcase away in the corner of my closet, Kibb came skipping along into my room. "Hey are ya done un-packing yet?" She asked. "Yep, just finished! What's up?" I asked plopping myself onto my bed sitting in an indian style. She clapped her hands together. "Perfect! Let's go out and grab something to eat." I grabbed my black vans out of the closet and my purse. "Ready!" I chimed, hopping around on one foot to put my shoes on.
"It would be you to be hopping around to put your shoes on." Sage teased. "Well at the mention of food I want to hurry along. I'm starving!" I explained. Sage just shook her head and laughed, "Come on, let's get on out there to San Diego!"
We had settled on eating Mexican tonight so I had googled up a little place called, El Camino. It had some good reviews so we figured taking a chance on it. After a few misunderstandings and some misssed turns, El Camino was right there in front of us. The place had an inviting pull to it which I had greatly appreciated. The decorations gave off a nice modern version of Mexico that attracted a lot of other younger people around the same age as us. "Talk about being hip in Mexico!" Kibb commented as she did a little dance while snapping her fingers.
I looked over the tables filled with other groups, finding a table near the window that could fit the four of us. Tapping Fern on the shoulder I pointed out the table, "Let's sit over there!" Everyone followed taking up the seat they wanted and started to look over the menu.
A waiter soon came over with some water and asked if we were ready to order. Being the person I am I played it safe and got me a chicken burritto with a side order of nachos. Everyone ragged on me for being such a dud, but they knew that's just how I was. Kibb had decided to order everyone a shot of tequila except for Fern who was driving. "Kibbit Rivers! I swear you bitch!" Fern groaned crossing her arms feeling left out. "Aw come on Fernie Bernie! You know we love you!" Kibb said as she pinched Fern's cheeks causing everyone to laugh. "Oh stop it! I'm mad at you!" Fern said, trying to sound mad, but failed miserably since she was laughing as well.
Our shots came around and Sage proposed to make a toast, "Here's to a week of fun, relaxation, and adventuring. May we make this the best experience for Joss and that this be one trip we will never forget." We clanked our shot glasses together and took the shots. The burn on my throat was stronger than anything, but for a toast like that, who wouldn't drink their shot?
