I Want To Hold Your Hand (Tony perry; Pierce The Veil Fan Fic)

Chapter Four

TONYs POV -
The guys and I decided to check out the farmer's market. We had all agreed we deserved a break from song writing. It was good to be back home and catch a break from all the touring. By the time we got to the farmer's market there was already a big crowd. "Well, I'm going to get some food from the cute little old mexican lady. She makes the best banana dessert!" Jaime said as he headed off on his mission.
"I think I want to join Jaime on that banana mission." Vic said as he went off to follow Jaime. Mike and I shook our heads. "I'm going to just look around meet you back here?" I offered to Mike. He just waved me off, "yeah sure, I'll follow tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee; just call one of us." Giving a quick thumbs up I went on my way.
It was good to be back home, in San Diego. Sure, there were the load of fans who were in deep search for us, but most of them just allowed us our peace. We loved our fans, but it nice to just have a break.
I wasn't exactly sure if there was anything in particular that I wanted, but the walk was relaxing. The sun felt nice on my shoulders and arms that made it all the more enjoyable. As I browsed through the vendors and what they had to sell I came across a vendor that was selling bracelets.
There were charm bracelets, chain bracelets, friendship bracelets, and leather straps. The friendship bracelets caught my attention. I always wanted to have a friendship bracelet, whether it be just to wear or to have it with a friend. The variety ranged from skinny, to thick, to a solid color, or colorful. I scanned through and found a thick friendship bracelet that braided two colors, black and green. The first thing that came to mind was a turtle, which made me decide to get it.
But I guess I wasn't the only one who saw it, because the moment I reached out to grab it another hand reached for it at the same time. I looked over to find a girl and not just any girl. It was the same girl I had seen at the airport. "I'm sorry if you..." She started to say but suddenly stopped. She simply stared at me and I couldn't help myself but to stare right back.
Was she a fan? Did she recognize me? Don't tell me she's going to start screaming...but nothing. None of that happened, it almost seemed like she didn't even really know who I was.
Seeing her up close like this out in the open the sun settled nicely on her skin. She had short bangs and her dark brown hair pulled up in a high pony tail. Her light brown eyes sparkled against the light making me feel somewhat entranced. I hadn't thought about her since the airport and I can't seem to see why. This girl was the cutest I had ever seen!
Then sudden realization hit her and she said, "I don't know if you remember me, but you..." Man, she sounded cute too. (Thank god nobody can hear my thoughts. I sound like a creeper right now.) I quickly interrupted and said, "Your the girl who's bag got stuck at the airport." She laughed, an adorable little laugh I might add, and nodded her head.
I wanted to say something, but wasn't sure what to say exactly. We stood there in awkward silence, staring at each other. She must have gotten uncomfortable since I could see a faint blush rise on her cheeks. She even looks cuter blushing...damn it Tony! Why do you have to be such an awkward turtle?! As I mentally scolded myself.
She was the first to break away and looked back down at the table. She said, "Um, if you want the green bracelet, you can take it. I had a second choice in mind that I don't mind taking." I collected myself and tried to shake off the fact that I was still staring at her and replied, "Well, you obviously had it first. I don't want to take away your first choice." She shook her head, "No don't sweat it!"
And before I could even realize she bought the bracelet and then held it out to me, "Here!" I was a bit shocked. Why would she just do that when she bought it? She abruptly grabbed my hand, placing the bracelet in my palm saying, "Take it as a thank you, you know for helping me at the airport."
Feeling surprised and touched at the same time, I felt my cheeks warm up a little. I really hope she didn't notice, it'd be really embarrassing. I nodded as I held the bracelet and said, "Well, thanks, uh..." Geez, I didn't even know her name. I should have just said thank... "Joss." She said cutting off my inner thoughts. Joss? That was a pretty name and that smile, man she....stop it Tony! Just stop it! I scolded again.
"Thanks Joss." I said, returning the smile back. For a moment she seemed a little distressed about something and I was going to ask until someone called her name. "Hey Joss!" We bothed turned to see three other girls heading in our direction. She'd taken her hand back and yelled back, "Hey guys!"
Maybe I should go? I thought to myself and I was until one of the girls said, "Oh my god! You're Tony Perry from Pierce The Veil!" Joss looked a bit confused and said, "What?" Her friend looked at her in disbelief and simply ranted, "You know the rock band I love so much? And the songs I got you addicted to? He's the lead guitarist!"
She looked back at me now in awe. Is she going to look at me differently? Was I put into a whole other light in her perspective? I ended up feeling awkward and started to rubbed the back of my neck, giving a sheepish smile. "Well, it's nice to meet you Tony." She said with a smile as she held out her hand.
Well I'll be damned, I thought quietly to myself and grabbed hold of her hand. I said, "It's nice to meet you too, Joss."

Joss introduced me to her three friends, Sage (our number one fan), Kibb, and Fern. Sage had asked for an autograph, but instead I offered her to introduce her to the rest of the band. Everyone was excited, including me. That meant I got to spend a little more time with Joss to get to know her better.
Kibb, a very peppy blonde had asked how we had met and so Joss explained the whole story to them. "So wait a second? You helped our friend with her luggage and now you guys coincidently met here in the farmer's market?" I simply nodded as I awkwardly played with the bill of my hat. "Yup that's what happened."
"This is totally gonna be one of those cliche stories or movies." One of them said that caused me to laugh quietly to myself. Sage was walking alongside of Joss and me, practically speed walking with excitement. "I can't believe you're going to introduce us to the rest of the band! You don't know how much this means to me!"
Joss leaned over to whisper something to me, "I've never seen her act like this before; she is a very huge fan." I smiled and whispered back, "She's not that bad compared to the other fans who go crazier, but we love them none the less."
For the rest of the walk we stayed in a nice silence, Joss and I, while her friends listened to Sage and her excitement. I peeked down at Joss every now and then finding herself engrossed in her thoughts. I wonder what she's thinking? Could I possible be in her thoughts right now? Oh shut the hell up Tony! Get over yourself dude! I scolded myself as I jumped to conclusions.
I looked over the crowds searching for the guys and sure enough there was Mike. Standind like a stepel, covered in graffitti. "There right over there!" I said to Joss who came out of her trance. "Oh, let me tell the girls." She joined the girls as I continued on.
Jaime was the first to see me causing the other guys to turn around as well. "Well, it seems like our turtle made some new friends." Jaime said with a huge smile on his face. "Cute friends." Mike added as he leaned against the vendor's table, tipping his hat up. I shook my head and pulled Sage alongside of me. I said, "This is Sage, our number one fan and her friends, Joss, Fern, and Kibb." I introduced while the guys introduced themselves. "I told her it'd be cool with you guys if she got to meet the rest of the band." I said to the guys who gave warm, welcoming smiles. "No sweat! I love meeting fans!" Jaime said.
"Sage. That's a pretty sweet name." Mike said giving a smirk to Sage. She seemed to be in some sort of shock since she didn't say anything back. All she could do was just blush and laughing sheepishly. "How'd you guys even meet?" Vic asked, directing it to me.
I explained from the airport situation up to the friendship bracelet. Jaime started laughing and said, "So thats why you came back looking like a tomato..." "PANTERA!" I said slapping Jaime on the cheek. What the damn hell is he thinking? That's so embarrassing to say in front of Joss. Sage started to laugh and said, "Oh my god, that had to be the funniest thing ever to see you guys do it live!"
Joss leaned over and asked, "What's Pantera?" I shook my head, "Its an insider between us guys, that involves slapping someone who should stop mentioning things they shouldn't mention." I hinted to Jaime. "Well, theres no need to hide it dude." Jaime said as he prentended his cheek hurt causing Joss to giggle and hit me lightly, "I think you 'PANTERA-ED' him a little too much." Shaking my head I said, "Nope, I think it was just right."

JOSS POV-
We stood there as Sage got a group picture and autographs from each of them. "Thanks guys! This is so rad! I can't wait to post this on tumblr!!" She cheered causing everyone to laugh. "Say, what are you guys doing for the rest of the day?" Vic asked.
The girls and I looked at each other and shrugged lightly. I said, "We were thinking a movie, but that was stll up for debate." Vic looked at the guys and asked, "Well, would you ladies mind if we joined you?" Before I could even answer Sage jumped behind me and said, "No we wouldn't mind at all! Would we girls?"
Fern and Kibb just laughed and said, "That'd be awesome!" I looked over at Tony and bumped my elbow into his arm, "Guess we'll be seeing more of each other than huh?" He smiled and nodded. Wait till I tell mom about this tonight!
