I Am Not Alright, and I Would Rather

Picture Perfect; Out of the Frame

~*POV Mike*~

At first I tried to play it cool and casual, keeping all of the emotion I was feeling inside. But, when Vic hugged me, I just couldn't. I was so overwhelmed and happy, I couldn't keep myself from crying a little bit. When did I become such a pansy? Oh wait...

After a few more moments Vic pulled back from the hug and looked up at me. It looked like he was about to cry too. I shook my head at him and giggled a bit.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, excitement lacing his voice, "It's not like I'm not happy to see you, but how did you know?!"

"Your hubby to be stalked me, sent me an invitation and here I am," I said smiling.

"Oh my god! Jaime!" Vic exclaimed, "I can't believe this!"

I chuckled lightly, "I know, I know. It's crazy!"

We continued talking for a long time, we had a lot of catching up to do. I told him everything, going into extreme detail. I told him about the move, about my dead end jobs, about my rapping, about Erika, even about why I left in the first place. I felt good to unload everything, to finally talk to someone that I really and truly trust.

Vic told me lots of things too, about the band mainly. He told me about how surreal it is, standing on stage in front of thousands of people that were there for him. I'm so proud of him, he made it big. He also told me funny stories about Jaime, Matt and even Tony. I still got an apprehensive feeling while talking about Tony, but some of the stories Vic told me about him were pretty funny.

He also told me about mom and dad. Mom had apparently gotten over her problem with Vic and Jaime when she realized they were for real. Dad on the other hand, didn't agree with them getting married at all, he wasn't even coming. I could tell that Vic was hurt that his own father wasn't coming to his wedding, but I could also tell that their relationship had been badly damaged.

When Vic was telling me about planning the wedding the sound of the door opening in the background interrupted. We both looked over to see Austin and the other two guys I saw earlier. Austin smiled at us.

"I did my best to give you guys alone time," he started, "But we have shit to get done!"

"Did you know Aus?" Vic asked.

"I ran into Mike at the airport last night," Austin said.

"Can some please explain what's going on?" One of the other guys said, his voice was quite high pitched. He had longish dark hair that swept over his forehead and part of his face.

"Sorry Kells," Vic said chuckling, "Kellin, Oliver, this is my little brother Mike. Mike this is Kellin Quinn and Oliver Sykes, two of my closest friends."

"Nice to meet you Mate," the other guy, Oliver said, "Vic's told us a lot about his mysterious little brother. Never thought I'd meet you though."

Oliver's voice was laced with a relatively thick English accent. I could tell that he was pretty heavily tattooed, even though he was wearing a suit because his hands and neck were covered.

I smirked, "I'm hoping you've only heard good..."

Kellin let out a chuckle before saying, "Oh you know it!"

I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not, so I just awkwardly chuckled.

There was a light knock on the door, which caused me to jump. Vic laughed at me as Austin stood up to answer the door. When he did, we saw that it was Cam at the door. He came inside and sighed.

"I don't mean to alarm anyone but we've got a bit of a problem," he said, pushing his hair away from his face.

"What's that?" Vic asked, I could tell he was scared and worried from his voice.

"Matt's not coming," Cam said biting his lip, "He called Hime and said he couldn't. But he gave no reason why... We're all fuming."

"Fuck," Vic said, "Now what do we do? The number of groomsmen is uneven now..."

"That's why I'm over here," Cam said, "Jaime said he wants Mike to fill in."

I felt my eyes widen slightly as all five men's eyes were on me. Isn't there someone else already here that can do it? I'm happy that Jaime wants me to fill in, but it's kind of last minute and I don't want to make a spectacle.

"I think it's a good idea," Austin said, "You were telling me that you want to become a part of everyone's lives again, so why not start here?"

Vic smiled at me and I shook my head, sighing, "Ok, ok, I'll do it."

"Yay!" Cam and Vic cheered, "Let's go Mike, Jaime and Tony are waiting in the other room! You and Vic can catch up more later."

Oh yeah, Tony...
