*Jaime’s POV* -before the argument-

I’m not gonna lie. She told me not tell anyone but I just feel so guilty if I don’t mention something to her dad. She’ll understand, right? I mean, it’s just Tony but I don’t want her hating on me. This settles it. I have to tell her dad. If Kellin finds out, and someone didn’t tell him, he’d be furious. If I had a daughter and someone knew that she was in love with an older guy and didn‘t tell me, I’d beat the fuck out of him and the people that knew about it but didn’t say anything.

I called up Kellin and notified him right away. I wasn’t going to keep this bottled up in my head. I wasn’t trying to get Copeland in trouble but this isn’t right. I went outside the bus so no one could hear me.

“Jaime, how’s it going man?” Kellin’s voice acknowledged through the phone.

“Well Kelz, it’s not so great,” I managed to say. “There’s something I need to tell you about Copeland and Tony.” My voice cracked a little.

“What... Copeland? Speak to me. Tell me!”

“Can I come over and talk to you about it? We might need to have a long talk.” I looked around in search of an eavesdropper. No one was near me or could hear me.

“Yeah, sure. Come right away. If this is about our baby, we need to know.”

I arrived at Kellin’s and took a seat on the couch. I was a little nervous about how he was going to react. Copeland is their only child and she can’t be having thoughts about Tony like this.

“Ok tell me. What’s up with Copeland? Is something wrong with her?” Kellin’s voice had so much paranoia that you could tell he was worried like hell.

“Actually, it’s not that something is wrong, but Copeland s-sort of has a c-crush on Tony.” Please don’t scream. Please don’t scream. Please don’t scream. His eyes widened and he flicked his hair to the side.

“Katelynne! Come down here right now. You’re daughter is in so much trouble if this is true!”

Katelynne hurried down the stairs to find me sitting next to Kellin. “What is it Kelli-” She directed her attention to me. “Oh, Jaime. What are you doing here?”

“I just recently discovered that Copeland has a love connection with Tony,” Kellin said. Hold the fuck up…I did NOT say love connection.

“What? Copeland loves Tony?” Katelynne was in shock as she walked closer to me.

“Well, she didn’t really-” Kellin interrupted me before I could finish my sentence.

“I’m calling Vic. I need to know if this is true or not.”

Fuck. I really screwed up. I didn’t want him calling Vic! That means another person would know about it.

“Vic, I need to ask you something,” Kellin began pacing around the living room. “Is there something going on between my daughter and Tony?…..are you sure…….you saw what?……you think?………………..you don’t know for sure but you’re positive that’s what you saw?…alright man….ok…thanks a milli.” He hung up and took a deep breath.

Vic saw something? What did he see? I talked to Copeland about it yesterday and I’m pretty sure they didn’t do anything.

“What did Vic say,” asked Katelynne.

“He said that he walked in on Tony and Copeland when he told them that dinner was ready. He said as he walked in, Tony was on top of her. But he told me that it looked like they were just playing.”

I feel like I just caused a huge ruckus between this family. And it was all my fault.

“Are you sure of this?” Katelynne asked Kellin with tears in her eyes.

“Yes I’m sure. She’s gonna have a talk with us when she gets home from school.”

I returned to our bus when only Vic was home. He was listening to “Shadow Moses” by Bring Me The Horizon. “Where is everyone else?”

“Tony and Mike are out eating lunch.” I nodded my head and wandered my way to the kitchen. “Oh, by the way, what do you know about Tony and Cope liking each other?”

God fucking damn it! I didn’t know he was going to ask me about it. “Tony doesn’t know that Copeland likes him. And we’re going to keep it like that, ok?”

“So it’s true? Cope does like Tony? I thought Kellin had gone mad or something. He called me on the phone earlier and asked me about it.”

“What exactly did you tell him?”

“I told him that I walked in on them and Tony was lying on top of her. But I swear it looked like they were just playing. But the way he was staring at her, I didn’t seem to think so.”

"You didn't say the whole "the way he looks at her," right?"

"No way! I didn't want him freaking the fuck out."

“Can you please just not tell Tony anything? Don’t even tell Mike because he’ll tell the whole neighborhood.”

“I got you." He gave me a pat on the shoulder. "Who knows about this besides us?”

“Her parents but that's it. Thanks bro.” But Vic stopped and turned around.

“But, now that you mention Tony doesn’t know that Cope likes him, we need to keep him away from her. I think Tony is making her have feelings for him and he doesn’t even know it. We don‘t want Kellin to terminate Tony. We need him. Death cannot be an option.”

“You’re right! Operation KEEP THE TURTLE AWAY FROM THE WATER will be in process. But only me and you are handling this on our own.”

“What the fuck does water have to do with anything?” questioned Vic, raising an eyebrow.

“Keeping the turtle away from the water? You know like not having a turtle make its way in the ocean?” He gave me a weird ass look. How does he not understand me?! Just relate turtles and water! “Ugh, you’re so dumb Victor! It means Tony’s dick needs to stay the hell away from her vagina.”

“That doesn’t even relate to water!”

“Yes it does! Think about it. A turtle, that’s Tony, making his way through the ocean, that’s her vagina, and…Ugh! I was trying to help you understand my joke!!! We don’t want his sperm swimming in her vagina!” Damn Fuentes, was it that hard?

“Then why didn’t you just fucking say that?!”

“It doesn’t matter now. All we know is that you and I have to keep Tony and Copeland away from each. If Kellin comes in contact with Tony, we just might never see our turtle-loving friend again.”
