I Met The Love Of My Life.

Go Get Your Black Dress Baby, And Put Your Dancing Shoes On.

I found it pretty weird that Tony followed me on Instagram and Twitter last night. I shrugged it off as I sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes and grabbing a robe to wrap round me as it felt quite chilly in our house today. I was greeted by Cassie in the kitchen, she was sitting on one of the stools in the island, looking through her phone religiously and drinking a cup of coffee. Pouring myself a cup, I sat down next to her and smiled.

“You’re up early.”

“I know right? I’m never up this early.” I laughed

“And you’re happy. Oooh, I wonder why.” She teased, nudging me a little.

“Watch I have a cup of coffee in my hands you goof!” I laughed, nudging her back. she shook her head and laughed at me, going back to her phone.

“Austin Carlile’s having a party, Al.” she turned to me with hopeful eyes.

I sighed. “Oh yeah?”

“Yeah, tonight. You should come. Jaime and I are going…” she started, but I cut her off almost immediately.

“I’m not going to be a third wheel, and I think I’ll just stay in tonight, have a quiet relaxing bath when you’re out.” I smiled to myself.

“You wouldn’t be a third wheel! There are so many people going to be there that Hime hasn’t seen in ages, so it’d mostly just be us for the night.” I looked to her hopeful eyes again and sighed. I then noticed a small smirk playing on her lips. “And Tyler Smith will be there…” She got up and walked to her room.

I giggled a bit at the thought of Tyler or ‘Telle’ as people call him. He’s the lead singer for a band called The Word Alive, they’re amazing. And Tyler, he’s quite beautiful. We’ve known each other for years, I knew him before he was in the band, but we didn’t really get on at first, now we get on like a house on fire. It’s great. I smiled to myself. Tyler’s always had a thing for me – even back when I was with Tony, and it’s ultimately why he was mean to me. But now we’re both single and I don’t know, maybe something could happen. But do I want it to? I sighed at the thought of Tony too. I know he’s home and he’s probably going to be at this party tonight. Do I really want to face him? Am I ready for it? Half of me wants to see him to show him what he’s missing, then the other half of me is shouting about how fucking stupid that is, he’s not missing anything. He’s probably fucked plenty of other girls as well as Stephanie, all who are better than me, in every single way.

I walked into Cassie’s room, closing the door behind me, my cup of coffee in my hand and I sat on Cassie’s bed with her, where she was now watching a rerun of Friends, as always.

“Hey babe. Would it really mean that much to you if I went tonight?” a small smirk started to play on my lips. Fuck it, I want to go.

“Oh my god! Yes! Let’s get my party girl Alice back!” she squealed and engulfed me in a hug, where we spilled some coffee on her bedsheets.

She stuck her bottom lip out at me and I did the same. We laughed afterwards and she sighed, getting up.

“I can’t be bothered changing the bed sheets today… Can I just sleep in your room tonight?” she looked to me and I laughed at her, she’s oh so lazy.

“Yes honey. Now let’s get ourselves pretty! It’s gonna take a while for me.” I sighed, sticking out my bottom lip.

“Shut the fuck up! You’re perfect.”

Cassie and I got ready together and we walked out to Jaime’s car together, arms linked and laughing. Tonight will definitely be a good night!

We’d been at the party for an hour or so and my tipsy self walked to the kitchen to grab myself another drink. I sat the red cup down on the counter before grabbing a bottle of Jack Daniels, pouring some in. I next put some ice cubes in to the drink and finished it off with a dash of Coke. I smiled to myself as I sipped my drink, my buzz coming to me quicker now I had something stronger than just a beer.

“A woman who drinks whiskey is a great woman in my books.” I heard a familiar voice from behind me. I turned round and seen the heavily tattooed man I’d not seen in years.

“Mikey?!” I smiled and jumped to his arms, he caught me and cuddled me tight.

“I have not seen you in so long little lady.” He smiled down at me. “You’ve hardly changed at all. Just some more tattoos. Still beautiful.” I blushed and hugged him once more.

“Thank you Mikey! We should have a catch up at some point tonight! I need to go back to my woman.” I giggled, my woman meaning Cassie. Someone grabbed my wrist and I turned round to a septum piercing being right in my face. “Telle!” I shreaked, hugging him tightly, feeling more drunk than I had two seconds ago. I gulped some more of my drink down and Telle had his arm round my waist.

“Hey beautiful.” He pecked my cheek and I blushed. I downed the rest of my drink, noticing there was only ice left in the cup, I pouted to Telle who laughed at me. “I’ll go get you another, go get Cassie.”

I did as told and I was standing around with Cassie and she was giggling uncontrollably about something Jaime had done but nothing she was saying was making sense at all. I just laughed along with her. Those two are definitely meant to be. Telle came back with a drink for Cassie and I and we made our way to Austin’s backyard. Telle was speaking to Austin a few metres away so he couldn’t hear anything Cassie and I were saying.

“Fuck, he’s hotter than I remembered Cass.” I giggled and put my hand up to my mouth, as if to shush myself.

“He keeps looking over at you, he sooo wants you Allybear!” she giggled too and I shushed her as we seen Telle and Austin approach. I put my fingers to my lips and looked to her, and we ended up laughing more.

“What’s so funny over here girls?” Austin said with the big smile everyone adores.

“Nothing, nothing.” I smiled and looked to Telle who again, had his arm round my waist. We were pretty much inseparable all night, he’d occasionally peck my cheek or my neck and I smiled to myself. I don’t know if it’s because I was drunk or if it’s because of Telle, but something just made me feel so alive…

That is until I seen two people that totally brought me back down to shitty reality. I seen her, her blonde long locks swaying perfectly as she walked outside, a little bit away from where Telle and I were. I asked him to get me another drink. I had a feeling I was going to need it. That’s when I seen him. I felt my face drain of colour, I started to sweat and my heart felt like it was in my mouth, but I decided to confront the heavily tattooed stranger anyway.

“Tony Perry, is that you?” I said, a look of complete shock on my face.

He turned round and his face dropped and he spoke with that old familiar voice I used to love so much. “A-Alice?”

I instantly regretted even going over there, I was mentally cursing at myself for being such a fucking idiot. Before I had the chance to escape, the blonde girl that I’m assuming is Stephanie introduced herself. “Hello, I’m Stephanie. Tony’s never mentioned you before?” she said, shaking my hand.

“I’m uh, I’m Alice. Our parents were good friends. Tony and I were too, at one point.” I plastered a fake smile on my face. I’d gotten myself into this now; I may as well get it over with. Even though I felt like I wanted to die right there and then. This, this is the girl he left me for. I took in every feature of hers and noted in my head how much more perfect she was than me, everything she had was something I didn’t. She was just flawless, really. Just as Tony was about to open his mouth, Telle saved me, handing me another drink. He gave Tony a ‘bro hug’ before turning to me.

“Let’s go back inside babe you look cold.” He put his arm round my waist and I smiled back to Tony and his girlfriend, Stephanie.

It was so weird to see the man that totally broke my heart, the man that totally broke me... I was so full of shock because I didn’t expect him to look so... so happy. Here I was, broken and hadn’t had a proper boyfriend since, let alone have sex with anyone else since him. I wasn’t able to eat, sleep, talk to anyone, and trust anyone for weeks. I’m just finally beginning to get on the mend. Yet here he is acting like the happiest son of a bitch in the world. Although, I knew better. He smiled, but it never really reached his eyes. I gulped down the rest of my drink and went on with my night as if nothing was wrong, as if I was happy too. Two can play at that game, Tony.

Notes

Title credit: Seven Thousand Miles For What? - Of Mice & Men.

I just wanted to say that updates will be much less frequent in the upcoming weeks, I've got lots of stuff going on right now, and if I'm totally honest - I don't feel myself at all, so I also don't feel like writing. So I'd rather do less frequent updates where the chapters are going to be decent than frequent half-hearted updates that are just complete shit. I'm sorry for your waiting in advance! But anyway, thank you all for reading and subscribing! It means the world to me.

Read the prequel to this if you haven't, I also have a Vic & Mike story up, if you're interested :-)

Also! Please don't be silent readers, let me know what you think - good or bad! No updates without feedback.

GUYS! PLEASE READ MY GOOD FRIEND TAYLOR'S STORY, IT'D MEAN THE WORLD TO ME! IT'S HER FIRST STORY AND SHE'S DOING GREAT! <3
