All Again For You

The Other Side

I sat there on Mike's bed, on my Macbook, typing away. He was finishing up on his packing and I was supposed to help, but here I was working. I caught him for a moment, unaware that I was looking. He sat on the floor, looking at some sort of instructions for something that he found. His eyebrows were furrowed together in confusion. I smiled softly to myself at how adorable he looked doing the simplest of things. I stopped typing and slowly got out of his bed and went up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist.

He looked down at me with a small smile and turned around, holding me back. We just stood there holding each other in a not too tight hug, in silence; enjoying one another in the moment. I bet it was weird for him to be moving out, away from his brother. They've literally lived together their entire life, that’s 29 years of having a roomie, and now they were being separated. I would think it would be weird if I were in his position.

He picked me up and carried me onto his bed, leaving tiny kisses from my neck to my lips. And in true Mike Fuentes fashion, he stopped just as I was getting into it, sitting up and looking at what I was typing on my open laptop. "Ah, Tonight Alive. My homies, actually." He looked down at me as I was still lying down, and smiled. His gaze went back to my laptop as I watched his eyes go back and forth as he read the paragraphs that I had wrote. I saw a smile grow on his lips as he scanned what I had written so far. "You're an amazing writer, you know?"

I sat up hugging my legs, "Thank you."

"I'm glad that you're doing this. In our interview, you made me seem like this incredible guy."

I moved myself closer to him, "But you are, baby!"

He chuckled and kissed my lips, slowly getting off of his bed. "I need to finish packing."

"I'll help, just let me save this." I grabbed my laptop and saved what I wrote, shutting my laptop. "Okay, let's pack your shit, boy." I winked, making him laugh.

I had taken it upon myself to fold his clothes because at one point, he was just throwing all of his clothes into box after box, not even separating it into pants, tees, other things. I just had to help this boy out. "Are you supposed to pack hangers?" He asked, generally confused.

"Um, I don't know. I guess so? You can pack some of them because I have extra ones at the house."

"Okay, I'll take some." He grabbed two handfuls of hangers and threw them into a box that held some of his clothes.

I stood up, appalled. "Mike!" He began laughing as soon as I shouted his name. "Why are you, oh my god, you don't know how to pack!" He grabbed a hanger and poked my ass, "Stop!" I laughed, grabbing one and poking his arm.

I went to go finish folding his clothes, sitting crisscross on the ground. I had one of his shirts in my hand and he tackled me onto my back, us lying on his carpet. Once again, he left a trail of small kisses on my upper body to my neck and lips. My eyes were closed as he got deeper and deeper with his kisses, driving me insane. I let out a soft moan as his lips landed on my soft spot. Seconds later, there was a knock on his door and I groaned, him following me in groans of annoyance.

"Yeah?" Mike asked to the person standing outside of his door.

"Can I come in?" It was Vic asking.

"I mean, give me a second to hide my massive boner." I rolled over onto my stomach laughing louder than I should have.

"Ew, dude. What the fuck?" Vic asked, disgusted. Mike sat up and I threw him the shirt I was folding and he placed it over his region, making me laugh even harder.

"Okay, come in." Mike announced and I rested my head on the palm of my hand, staring at the door that was about to open.

Vic opened the door, shooting us a sly look and a smirk. "You guys are weirdos. Anyway, did you wanna go out to dinner tonight?" He asked Mike.

Mike looked at his older brother, "With who?"

"With me."

"Well, Luce and I were gonna g-"

I interrupted Mike and said, "I think you should go." I realized in that moment that this is not the last dinner for them, but it's the last dinner with Mike still technically living in this house since the movers were coming tomorrow morning. I was taking away Mike from his brother and I felt a little guilty about that.

"Well what about you?" He asked, gesturing to me.

"I can finally finish folding your clothes in peace, without you poking me with hangers. And, I'll call Shannon and her and I will have our own dinner date." I said and looked over to Vic who had thankful eyes. I smiled softly and Mike nodded in agreement.

"Okay, sounds cool. What time?" He asked Vic.

"Uh, be ready at like 8?"

"Okay." He left the room and Mike smirked at me.

"What?" I questioned.

"I see you throwing away our dinner plans."

"I'm not throwing them away; we can have them tomorrow night. I just think you should spend time with Vic before you move out tomorrow."

"Aw, look at you caring about me and my brother." He grinned.

My nose scrunched up, "I just kind of feel bad because I'm taking you away from him. You two have lived together your entire life, babe."

He nodded, "You truly are a great and kind person, princess." He scooted to me and kissed the tip of my nose. "I love you. And, I'm really excited to be living with somebody other than my brother."

"I'm really excited to be living with somebody other than myself." I touched his cheek and kissed his lips. This was going to be a change in our lives. I was going to be living with somebody for the first time in six years and he was going to be living with somebody other than his brother for the first time in twenty-nine years.

Shannon and I had gone to some pizza parlor for dinner. I was sipping on a beer; her, water and we were just catching up and laughing.

"That party was fun on Saturday." She said, taking a bite out of her pizza.

"It was! Mike and I weren't expecting it one bit. I figured for his birthday, but not for mine."

"Guess what I found out?" She said suddenly, becoming serious.

"What?"

"So, you know that guy I've been seeing? Eric?"

"Yeah, he's the business guy, right?" I had heard a couple of stories about him, but she never really into much detail.

"Yeah, him. Well, I don't know how to say this other than just saying it, but I'm pregnant, Lucy."

My mouth dropped. "No way, Shan?! Oh my god, congrats!"

She smiled a little, "Thanks, dude. I'm so scared, but we're both excited."

"How long have you two been together?"

"Since right before you and Mike got together, so like six maybe seven months."

"Do you know how far along you are?"

She shook her head, "No, that's what I wanted to ask you. I have an appointment on Wednesday at 3, and I wanted to know if you could come with me? Eric will be at work."

"Sure. I could leave work early and drive down here."

"My doctor is in LA, so I can meet you there?"

"Oh yeah, that's perfect. Oh my god, Shannon, you're gonna be a mom."

As happy as I was for Shannon, I couldn't help but think about my own life. The last time Mike and I talked about kids, it was six years ago when we found out Lynda was pregnant. I didn't want to have kids right now but I don't know if he wanted to have kids sooner than later. But then I thought about how new our relationship was with each other. We had just figured out where we were in our relationship and that were taking that step to move in together. Was I jealous of Shannon for being pregnant? Or was I just impatient on mine and Mike's status of our relationship?

I had just sent Marc my finished template and interview for Tonight Alive when Mike walked into his room. "Hey baby." he greeted me by kicking off his shoes and bending over to me placing a kiss onto my lips.

"Hey. How was dinner?" I asked, clicking onto a link that a Pierce the Veil fan sent me on Twitter, and I wanted to show Mike.

"It was good. Nice little bro bonding time."

"I told you it'd be fun. I think he's gonna miss you being around 24/7, whether he's gonna admit it or not." I smirked and Mike nodded in agreement.

"I think he is, too. Duh, who wouldn't miss me?" He half-smiled that perfect smile of his. "What'd you end up doing?"

"Shan and I went to get pizza and beer and we caught up and stuff."

"Sounds fun. How is she? I didn't get to talk to her much at the party." He lay down on the foot of his bed and looked at me.

"Well, that's the thing. So, I was the only one drinking, and she told me 'Hey, I don't know how to say this other than saying it, but I'm pregnant!'"

His expression fell into confusion, "What?"

"That's what I said. But, she's pregnant."

"Who's the dad?"

"This guy Eric that she's been seeing. I've never met him."

"How long have they been together?"

"Like a little bit longer than us, like six maybe seven months. But yeah, so on Wednesday, she wants me to go with her to her appointment to see how far along she is. I don't know, this is weird."

"Why?" He asked, resting his arm on my bare leg and softly rubbing it.

"I don't know, it's just I thought I would get pregnant before her. And she doesn't even know this guy and I just-" I put my hands in my face, suddenly feeling embarrassed talking to Mike about this.

"Are you saying you want...?" He asked hinting at a baby.

"No, no, I mean yes, but not now, you know? I mean, I'd rather have us focused on our relationship right now than having a baby. I mean, it's just weird for me, Mike. I know you don't want to have this conversation or anything but it's just like Celina has a newborn baby, and Lynda has a child, and now Shan is pregnant, but it just makes me think who's next? Brittany? Steph?"

He smiled a little, and looked at me. "Who said I didn't want to have this conversation? You know what you told me before we got together a long, long, time ago?"

I shook my head, not knowing what conversation him and I had six maybe even seven years ago.

He grinned, "You told me that you wanted to have kids before you were thirty. Baby, you just turned twenty-seven. I know that it's just in your head right now, and that's okay."

"I know, and I think that too. Right now, I love where we're at. We're happy and going to be living together."

"Look, if it happens, it happens. I'm not down with planning." He winked at me which made me smile.

I gave him a kiss on the lips and remembered to show him the link. "Hey, look what one of your fans sent me on Twitter. It's from the Spring Fever tour and it's of you drumming."

"No way. What city?"

"San Francisco, I believe." I clicked on the link and a YouTube video popped up, showing the video. Mike adjusted himself so we both could see it and I pressed play. As we were watching it, I couldn't help but smile the entire time. Like, that's my boyfriend drumming incredibly. I just felt so happy and proud of him that he was doing what he loved.

"This is a sick video!" He exclaimed, a smile never leaving his face. It was that smile that assured me that this was all worth it.

The next morning, Mike and I were grumpy because we had to be awake so early. The movers arrived and so it began to load his stuff into the truck. He debated all last night if he wanted the movers to transport his drums sets, or if he should do it. I told him that we both have cars, therefore, there was no such thing as us doing that. "Just be careful loading that in there. That's my life right there." He assured the movers and him and I gathered whatever was left.

We got it set up pretty quickly, and Brandon was waiting at my house for us to arrive. Mike and I piled into each of our cars, and off to Los Angeles we were. I lead the way for Mike and the movers to follow me and two hours later, we were here. I pulled into my driveway and got out, taking Mike's bag full of his drumsticks that were inside of it.

Mike pulled into the driveway next to me and smiled, "Honey, I'm home."

My nose scrunched up and I stood on my tippy toes to kiss his lips. "Honey, we're home."

He nodded in agreement as Brandon walked outside of the house. "I had to trap Ludo in your room, sorry guys. He was crying all night for you two." His eyebrows furrowed as he followed us into my- our- house as we put some things down and helped the movers out. Mike was certain to watch their every move as they carefully moved his two drum sets into the guest room.

"Be careful, steady now..." He said. I could tell the movers were getting annoying with him but I couldn't help but laugh.

A couple of hours later, when everything was in the house, in it's respectable spot, it was time for Mike and I to organize his stuff with mine. I sadly had to make room in my closet for his plethora of cutoff sleeved black tees. We also had to have a designated spot for all of his hats and beanies. "You are such a girl." I rolled my eyes, making him laugh.

"Hey now, you have your shoes, I have my hats." He pointed to the shelves that held all my babies.

"Aren't they beautiful?" I admired my first pair of Louboutin's that I was able to by myself when I finally didn't have to struggle financially anymore.

"Not as great as this, beaut." He pulled out a new hat that he bought.

"Where are we gonna put these?" I smiled, walking over to his plaque's that he got with Collide With The Sky and the Collide With The Sky Tour selling out every show.

"Mmm, I don't know. Is there room for them somewhere?"

"Let's hang them in the living room. Both right next to my little plaque thing for my Fall Out Boy article." I suggested, imagining in my head how cute that would look.

He nodded with a smile, "Okay."

He carried one and I carried the other as we figured out how we were gonna hang them. We decided it would be his album plaque on the left of my Fall Out Boy article, and on the right of it, his tour plaque. It looked great!

"This looks cool, I like it." He stated, kissing the top of my head.

"I do too. We're gonna need a room for these one day." I winked, pulling him in for another kiss before we continued moving him in. Something tells me that it doesn't get better than this.

Notes

Any thoughts? A lot happened in this chapter. What do you think about this baby talk between them? And, Mike is officially in LA with Lucy. What do you think it'll be like for them living together?

Thanks for reading and I love you all to pieces!

Amber

@cosette_: I left that up to you and your imagination. I personally would have had them get married, but ultimately that is up to you. You can think up your own future that they had with each other and with their family and friends.

If they got married, had kids, if she made up with Austin. Their life, and everyone else's. Like Lynda and Brandon, or if she sees her parents again. You know?
