All Again For You

Grow Up

"You don't even understand how annoying he's being, Viv. He's won't shut up and when I'm trying to do stuff for work, he's over there in the other room drumming and I want to hit him in the face!" I vented with a small laugh as I looked at Mike, whom was beside me, smiling.

"No, no. Mom, do you know how annoying Lucy is? She just complains about me drumming and I'm like, 'Whoa girl, this is my job.' and she's just all about work and she ditched me for lunch with her boss, mom! She ditched me!" He exclaimed then looked over to me, sticking his tongue out.

Mama Fuentes chuckled as she was making some breakfast, sliding over a mug of coffee to each of us. "You two are crazy. It's only been a month that you two have lived together."

"Worst month of my life." I murmured, joking.

Mike laughed, along with his dad at me. "You're mean and ugly."

"You're the meanest and ugliest." I said, giggling. "No, I'm just kidding. He's still annoying, but I won't kick him out just yet."

"Good, because he isn't coming back here." Papa Fuentes added, making a face.

"Hey! I'm not that bad to live with!" Mike defended himself.

I grabbed a hold of his arm, resting my head on it, "He cooks me food so he's a keeper."

"She only likes me because I cook, mom. Ain't that some shit?"

"No cussing, Mike!" Viv shouted from the stove.

I took a sip of my coffee, smirking at him. This month was good. It was a big change for the both of us, but it was really amazing having somebody to come home too, especially that someone being Mike. Yes, he was annoying as shit most of the times, but I really had gotten used to having him around.

We had decided to drive down to San Diego today to visit his parents. They'd been dying to see us and ask how we were doing, and how living together was doing. So, here we are.

"Has your brother seen your parents again, mija?" Victor asked curiously.

I shook my head, "No. But he was afraid he was going to, so him and Brittany decided to go to a new coffee shop so they won't run into them again."

"I still can't believe that you saw them."

"I can't believe it, either." I took another sip of my coffee as Mike gave me look of reassurance and I smiled. "Oh my god, Vivian, remember you wanted to see a baby picture of me? I had gone to my grandma's and she had a whole bunch of them, so I grabbed a few!"

Mama Fuentes spun on her heel and walked over to me, taking the picture I was handing her. "Oh my goodness, look at you! Look at your cheeks, they were so chubby!" She giggled, staring at the picture of me.

"Look at this one of Mike and Vic when they were babies." She trailed off, searching through a drawer with my picture still in hand.

"No, mom. No." Mike said sternly, with a mortified expression on his pretty little face.

"Oh and look, here's one of Michael in high school!" She said, grabbing more picture for me to see.

"Mom! No! Not the high school pictures!" He shouted, looking even more embarrassed for me to see them.

"Oh shut up, you saw mine." I brushed him off.

"But, you were hot in high school. I was a loser."

"You still are, so it should be okay, right?" I asked, earning a slight smirk from him. I grabbed onto his arm again and he lightly kissed my lips. Vivian handed me his baby picture and my heart could have exploded it was so cute. My hand went to my heart and I gasped at the photo of him and Vic. "Oh my god. Mikey, you were so cute! You look like a little shit that was kinda mean, though." I added, making them all laugh.

"He was! He was always a little meaner than Vic was." Vivian said.

"You were so cute, though. Vic looks the exact same." I smiled, feeling so happy that I was seeing these pictures.

Vivian looked at my baby picture and one of Mike and said happily, "You two are gonna make the most gorgeous babies."

Mike and I looked at one another and smiled, "Well, duh. I mean look at us. That little baby will be perfect like it's mom and dad." He replied back.

"Or we could make a really ugly baby, but love it anyway." I added, half-jokingly.

"Now, here's his high school pictures." She announced, making me excited.

"Oh no. Dad, why didn't we burn these?" Mike frowned looking at his father.

She handed me the photo of him his senior year, "You were blonde! You were the Homecoming King! What the hell? You were so cute!" I said excitedly, still looking at the picture. You are wearing a t-shirt and jeans with a tie, I can't deal with this. You're still the same."

He moved closer to me and looked at the picture. "I look so weird."

"You said you were a loser. Losers don't win Homecoming King, little one." I said, looking at him.

"I mean, I had friends and stuff. But, the jocks hated me and would always try and fight me and stuff." He looked down at the counter and I smiled softly.

"Well, you won in the end, babe. You beat them because you get to travel the world and play drums that you're incredible at, by the way, and they are probably driving the city buses and picking up dog poop, if that makes you feel better."

He smirked looking at me, "It does. Thank you."

"No problem, that's what I'm here for." I continued looking at all the pictures that Mama Fuentes pulled out for me to see as she continued to make breakfast. Mike and I were looking and laughing at his photos, along with the ones that I had brought, and then I pulled out one from the stack that Vivian had taken out, mortifying Mike.

"Mom! There is a picture from freshman year! Oh my god! I thought I got rid of this one!" He shouted, holding the picture hostage so I couldn't see it.

"You were cute." She said innocently, winking at me.

"I'm burning this, I'm burning this."

"Let me see! It can't be that bad." I said, trying to grab it from his hand.

"It is that bad. Oh no, that must mean there's school pictures from every grade in high school." He frowned.

Viv smiled, "There sure is. I have them right here."

"Mike, let me see!" I shouted, pinching his arm, earning an 'Ow!' from him in the process.

I snickered as I had snatched the picture from his hands. I gazed down at the photo of him smiling, wearing a black shirt and had his hair a little bit past his ears. "Aw, look at you smiling. This is not bad at all, Mike."

"Yes it is! Wait until you see sophomore year, I look like a fucking Keebler elf." He said, making me burst into a fit of laughter.

"Look, you can't look worse than Vic did. We've all seen his high school pictures and he looks really weird."

I looked at the rest of his high school pictures and smirked at him when I was done.

"What?" He asked, eyeing me.

"Damn, you got super hot your junior year, buggie." I winked at him and showed him the picture.

He chuckled, "You would've been all up on that or what?"

"You know me too well." I kissed him on his cheek and he smiled, looking at the pictures.

Mike and I left his parent's house after a few hours and decided to go to Vic's house. It was weird saying, "Vic's house" and not "Mike and Vic's house." We pulled up to the driveway and there was a few cars there.

"Are Vic and Katelynne still like, talking or whatever?" Mike asked as we walked up the steps.

"Um, I don't know. She doesn't really talk about him and I don't ask. Why?"

"Because he doesn't talk about her much either. I was just wondering if you knew."

"I'm just as clueless as you are, buggie."

Seconds later, the door swung open and a bearded Tony greeted us. "Guys! Mike and Luce are here!"

I smiled, giving him a hug. "I see you have scruff, Perry. Very nice." I touched his beard and walked inside before Mike. Once inside, I saw Vic, Jaime, Casey, Mal, Alan, Austin, and Tino sitting around having a few cold ones.

Inside I felt weird, because Austin was here to see Mike and I in the flesh; together. I waited for Mike and shot him a look of uncertainty. I told him about the whole Austin-loving-me-thing and he shrugged it off. He knew that we were best friends and that I could never do something that would in any way ruin this relationship. But, I still felt tension.

We walked to where everyone was once Tony shut the door. "Hey guys! Long time no see!" Vic greeted us into hugs. We've seen them, but we haven't really like hung out with the guys in a while. It took us forever to finally make the house perfect for the both of us, so we were really busy in between that and me working.

"I've missed you, Vic!" I hugged him tightly.

"I missed you too, Luce. You guys left for LA and haven't turned back."

"Shut up, yes we have." Mike said, laughing. I saw him scan the room and his eyes landed on Austin. I pulled him to me and we went and told everyone else hi. Once I got to Austin, he pulled me into a giant hug, cutting off my breathing in the process. He held onto me for a while and I tried pulling away. It felt like he was doing this on purpose. Once I finally got out of his grip, I gave him a strange look then went to sit beside Tino.

Mike and Austin just nodded at one another and in that moment I knew that things were gonna be weird. Mike sat beside me, placing a hand on my thigh, not trying to show off, but looking at me like I was the only one in this room. It made me feel good. I smiled at him and my nose scrunched up. "How's living together, guys?" Alan asked excitedly.

"It's going really good. We're not annoying one another that much." I joked.

"That's good. What brings you to SD?" Tony asked.

"We went to go visit my parents, and we wanted to see Vic, Jaime and Tony." Mike answered.

Tino held his heart, "But not me?"

"Of course you, Tino. You know you're my favorite." I winked at him, earning a smile.

Austin sat there silently, listening to the conversation. His eyes would go from the floor, to the wall, to Mike and I, and back and forth again. It was making me uncomfortable how creepy he was being.

"Do you guys wanna beer?" Vic questioned with an innocent smile.

"Yes." Mike and I said in unison. "We can go get it, don't get up." He stood up and I followed him into the kitchen making our way to the fridge.

We stood there as he was dressing up my Corona and his as well, and we watched everyone in the living room. "If he stares at me for thirty more seconds, one more time I will hit him."

"Be quiet. No, you won't. He's being really weird and I don't know why."

"Because he's in love with you, duh." Mike said, nudging me.

"He told me that months ago. Then he left, went back to fucking so many girls. Why would I still be in the picture?"

"Hello little lady, I was in love with you but passing it over like I wasn't when you and I weren't together."

I looked at him and grinned, "You're too cute."

"I know." He bent down to kiss my lips and we walked back to the living room and I sat resting my legs on his lap.

It was all fun and games until I began to complain about my shoes bothering me. It was my flats that were cutting the heel of my foot, and I complained to Mike, and Austin decided to comment on that.

"It's probably because he bought you cheap shoes." Austin murmured loud enough for us to hear.

"Excuse me?" I said, annoyed with his attitude at this point. All night he was saying little remarks.

"It's probably because he bought you cheap ass shoes and now your feet hurt."

I felt Mike grow tense next to me. I was done with Austin. "Well, first of all, I bought these shoes. Yes, they were cheap because I got them at Target. And, if you had any sense of knowledge, you'd know that sometimes flats hurt the heel of your foot because your foot is pushing back.

I'd appreciate it if you would shut the fuck up and get over the fact that I don't have feelings for you. I don't give a fuck if you don't like mine and Mike's relationship because, guess what? Nobody asked you for your opinion on things. You were accepting the last time I saw you, and I don't know what happened since then. Get the fuck over yourself and please do so kindly as to never try and contact me again. I don't need negative bullshit in my life." I stood up from the couch and looked at Mike, "Let's go home. To OUR home." He stood up and looked at Austin, ready for his anger to explode, but I just waved by at Vic, Tony, and Jaime, and dragged Mike out of there, and we left, wanting to go home.

I got in the passenger seat and put on my seatbelt. Mike got in and pushed the key in the ignition, "Are you okay?" He asked, kindly.

I shook my head in disbelief, "You know, I don't care if he still likes me or whatever, he had no right to do that and be disrespectful. God, he's such a shitty friend."

He pulled out of the driveway and we began our journey home. "I just hate how he doesn't like me because of how he 'thinks' I am. I'm not this fuck-up like everyone thinks that I am."

"I don't think that, Mikey. I've never thought that."

He smiled at me, "You're the only one. Everyone thinks I'm some man whore and whatnot. It's starting to annoy me."

"I know, babe. You can't listen to those people. The important people in your life know who you are."

He looked over to me with a smirk, "I love you, you know?"

"I know." I beamed, holding his hand as we made our way back home; away from the bullshit.

@cosette_: I left that up to you and your imagination. I personally would have had them get married, but ultimately that is up to you. You can think up your own future that they had with each other and with their family and friends.

If they got married, had kids, if she made up with Austin. Their life, and everyone else's. Like Lynda and Brandon, or if she sees her parents again. You know?
