Until The End Of Time
Chapter Thirty
Since Erica’s birthday the group had celebrated Jaime’s birthday. They had also been to Disneyland again but most of their time was spent being really boring and watching movies most of the time. Mike and Erica had gone on a lot of cute dates; most of them involving picnics and Mike reading Harry Potter to her. They called it Intelligent Serenading.
The band had also been practising their set list for the Warped Tour that they were just about to leave to go on, this morning. Erica was going to miss them but she was heading out to see them on two dates. Not as much as she would like but she had work commitments plus she didn’t want to be known as the girlfriend that just drags along everywhere, not letting her boyfriend out of her site. Erica was definitely not that girl and she never worried about her and Mike’s relationship like that. He loved her and she loved him, she knew they would be together for a long time and nothing was going to change that.
“I’m going to miss you pumpkin” Jaime said as he hugged his best friend. “I’ll miss you too but I have Jess to hang out with and she’s the female version of you, kind of” She joked then Jaime pulled Jess into a hug and Erica walked over to Tony, to say goodbye. Mike was still inside since he had lost something; he was always the last one ready.
Erica had said her goodbyes to everyone other than Mike. He had finally come outside. “I love you pickle” He said against her lips.
“Pickle? What the hell? I love you too though.” She laughed.
“I don’t know, it just came out. I’ll see you in a few weeks okay? I’ll even get all the rainbow sherbet I can and we can hide in the back of the bus” He kissed her again. The first day that Erica is going out will be the ten year anniversary of her brother’s death; she always spent it eating rainbow sherbet and drinking whiskey. The sherbet was his favourite and whiskey is hers.
“Sounds perfect, I love you until the end of time” She smiled softly and Mike repeated her words.
“Come on, we’re already late” Jaime called out breaking the pair apart. They waved and Mike was gone.
“Breakfast?” Jess asked Erica. “Yeah, lets go to i-hop” Erica suggested. That was exactly where they went.
-2 weeks later-
“Erica’s coming today isn’t she?” Tony asked Mike who nodded. He knew that she was going to be really upset and he hoped he could comfort her enough. This would be the first anniversary of Caleb’s death that Erica wouldn’t be spending at his grave; it would also be the first one she had ever spent with Mike. She would be able to cope if she stayed alone today.
They were sat in the back lounge while Jaime and Vic were up front. Mike felt weird being without his girlfriend; especially since she was on the last tour. He was his normal self but when he was alone at night he felt lost, he really did love her.
A couple of hours passed and it was now 12 noon and the bus door flung open. Erica walked on in an oversized hoodie and sweatpants. Her hair was in a messy bun on the top of head and she wore no make-up. In her right hand was a bottle of whiskey, not yet opened which was a relief since she drove to the venue. As soon as Mike saw her he stood up and pulled her into a hug. If they hugged any tighter they both would have been mending broken ribs. As soon as Erica felt Mike’s embrace her floodgates opened and the tears came. She couldn’t control them. She never was able to on this day, her brother was her world. Hell, she was practically his mother.
He pulled away only slightly and kissed her on the head before leading her to the back lounge. Everyone knew better than to interrupt them today. They were playing at 6:45pm and Erica was going to watch the show, not sing with them though.
Mike sat Erica down then made his way back to his bunk for a quick moment before returning with a small bag full of rainbow sherbets. Erica giggled a little, she adored that he remembered all the little and all the important things. She took one of each colour and poured them into her hand, swirling the colours into one before licking it from her palm, followed by a shot of whiskey. She used to do this with vodka but she didn’t get as drunk on whiskey, since it was like water to her, and she liked to be somewhat present mentally. She liked getting drunk but on this day she really wanted some of her mind to be clear so she could remember her brother properly.
The couple spent the day talking about Caleb; no matter how many times they spoke about him Erica always had a story that Mike had never heard. Mike had his favourite story about her brother. It was the one about the time Erica tried to teach Caleb to play drums. Caleb was brilliant and he learned super quickly, he had his own mini drum kit and Erica would teach him a few songs and then they would jam together. This anecdote always made Mike smile, it made Erica smile too so he always got her to tell it to him when they spoke about the cute kid that was taken too soon.
Before they knew it, the boys had to head to the stage. Erica was feeling better about everything. She usually wasn’t this upset but because it had been 10 years on this day she couldn’t help but be more emotional. He would have been 13 in 3 weeks and it’s not fair.
They made their way to the stage and Erica set up behind the drum kit, just behind the back drop so nobody knew she was there. She really wasn’t feeling up to singing with them today. Maybe the next date that she comes to see them.
The show was amazing, as per. The boys played their hearts out. Erica always admired the way they put everything they had into their music. It really inspired her, they’re the main reason she started doing her cover videos again. They were also the reason she was thinking about recording original stuff again. None of them knew this yet. Well Jaime did because she had spoken to him about it; he obviously thought it was an amazing idea.
Erica was snapped out of her thoughts by one of Vic’s speeches. “This next song is dedicated to someone special. We never had the pleasure of meeting him but we know he was a great kid and that he’s severely missed; this one’s for you Caleb” He looked back and shot Erica an endearing smile which she returned before playing A Match Into Water.
When their set was finished everyone pulled Erica into a tight and sweaty group hug. She was one of the family and when she was hurting so were they. They went back to the bus, ate some pizza, had some drink and hung out until bus call. When bus call approached Erica had luckily sobered up enough to be able to drive home.
She said her goodbyes and Mike walked her to her car. They stood outside the driver’s side for a few minutes making out. Sometimes they were just like teenagers. They said goodbye and Erica went on her way back to San Diego while Mike headed for his next Warped destination.
“I’ll see you in August” Mike said as Erica got into her seat and did her belt up. “You’ll see me tomorrow on skype” She messed. They kissed one last time and separated from each other to go on their different travels.

I'm sorry for all the time jumps but I'm really not that good at fillers. I have all the main points I want in my chapters and they're what I'm best at. The next chapter won't involve Mike and the one after that will be at the end of Warped Tour.Please let me know what you think. Thanks to everyone that has read and subscribed as well.
