I Have News
*** ALICE'S POV ***
I woke up to a smiling Tony just staring at me, whilst I was still wrapped up in his arms. I could get used to waking up like this again. It’s a pretty sight, I won’t lie.
“What are you smiling about?” I giggled.
Tony planted a kiss on my lips and played with my hair, “You’re just so cute when you sleep. And I’m happy. You were talking about me in your sleep, just so you know.”
I felt my cheeks flush and a bright crimson red appeared on them, I hid my face in Tony’s chest and he laughed a little. “Oh man, what was I saying?!” I laughed too.
“I’m not sure really, I was asleep at the time, but I heard my name. Something about I was ‘pretty’ and that you love me” He chuckled. I kissed him and got out of bed.
“Well at least it’s true. I have to leave” I made a little pouty face, “I need to see my mama, and the guys are still all having a barbeque tonight at Vic and Mikes’, right?” Tony nodded and I got dressed and gave Tony a goodbye kiss. I’m going to miss him, even if it’s only for a few hours until we get to the BBQ.
I got home and showered before changing into some comfy clothes and straightening my hair. This only left me with my makeup to do and to get changed for the BBQ. I need to spend some time with my mum, it’s been long overdue. We used to have mother daughter days all the time but I can’t remember the last time we had one. I lay on the couch with her and we had something to eat, we cuddled, caught up with one another and watched films. I love the relationship I have with my mum, we’re ridiculously close. And I’m her only child, so it’s good to have the relationship I do with her. We’re more like best friends.
“So mum… Tony asked me to be his girlfriend again last night.”
“Awh that’s nice baby. Did you say yes? Pleeease tell me you said yes, you two would make the cutest babies together.” She laughed and petted my hair.
I scrunched my face a little bit. “Enough of that! I don’t want no little one’s crawling around just yet. But I said yes. So I’m happy.” I smiled and bit my lip before I continued, “He told me he was in love with me, mama.” I sat back on the couch and gushed about it, how everything happened and she had little tears in her eyes.
“I’m so happy for my little lady! You can tell he’s in love with you baby, the way he looks at you.” She gushed, “There’s something special with you two. I know it. Now go get ready for your BBQ! We’ll have another day soon. Your dad and I will be out tonight, so stay at Tony’s if you like.” I smiled and nodded, wishing her a good night and she did the same to me. I gave her a quick kiss and cuddle and walked up the stairs and through the hall to my room. I sat down in front of my full length mirror that was sitting in front of the mirror. I had a bobble on my wrist so I put my hair up so it didn’t get in the way whilst I was doing my makeup. I finally finished my makeup and decided I liked my hair in the ponytail I had it in so I just kept it in it.
I heard the door knock as I was fixing my lipstick and muttered ‘fuck’ to myself, knowing it was Tony coming to pick me up. I sighed, purely because I still had no clue what to wear with the shorts I had picked out. Tony came into my room and laughed, he’d been in this situation with me many, many times. He pecked my cheek, knowing not to kiss my lips as they’d leave a stain. I giggled.
“Hi baby.” He said and sat on my bed, “not know what to wear?”
“Hey honey, yep. As always. I’m destined to wear these shorts though.” I pointed to the shorts on the bedside table next to him.
“Why don’t you just change shorts?”
“Noo, you don’t understand. I’ve not worn them in like forever, and I love them, and I want to wear them. I just have nothing to wear them with.” I pouted at him and he laughed at me, getting up to help me roam my wardrobe. He stood behind me with his arms snaked round my waist.
“You could wear your black Dr Martens.” He smiled at me. “I really like your hair tonight.”
I smiled, he’s soo cute. “That’s a plan Mr Perry, but I need a top.” I frowned, “Oh and thank you honey.” I kissed his cheek, quickly washing off the mark the lipstick made on his cheek.
“You ass” he laughed and tickled me a bit, before something caught his eye, “This! Wear this with that big cardigan your mama always steals from you!”
I smiled, I swear that boy is better at picking outfits than I am! I went and got the cardigan he was talking about and got changed, not bothering to hide away or anything. I’m comfortable with Tony. I slipped on my docs and tied the laces and stood up straight, the cardigan drowning me because it was so big, but I loved it. I spritzed myself with some perfume and put my hands on my hips. “Do I look okay?” I smiled at Tony.
“Perfect, as usual” he rolled his eyes then smiled. “Hey, can we take a photo together?” I nodded and he took his phone out. He took one of me on my own, to use it as his backround on his phone, awwww. He then came over and used the front facing camera to take photos of him and I. the first one we took we were both smiling with our teeth, my smiley piercing showing. The second one I was smiling and Tony kissed my cheek. The last one was one of us two kissing. My mum walked in and offered to take one of the both of us and we agreed, taking a few. A couple of them were of us smiling at the camera with his arm draped round my shoulder and my arms round his torso, squeezing him. The last one my mum took caught us off guard because we looked at each other lovingly, just smiling. It was the cutest photo ever, if I do say so myself. I made a mental note to get Tone to send me it and I’d print it off.
Finally, we took off to the Fuentes’ household. We were greeted by everyone except Mike, who only greeted Tony. I glared at him. He was the one that was the asshole.
Vic made us all sit down at the table, making sure everyone was here before he made his ‘big announcement’. He stood up once everyone was round the table, he wasn’t giving anything away, whether it was good or bad. I squeezed Tony’s hand under the table and smiled at him.
Vic cleared his throat and everyone turned to look at him. He smiled softly and simply said. “I have news.”
