Skin and Bones
Chapter 7
~*POV Mike*~
I woke up the next morning ready to die. I didn't want to get up and face my brother, I was sure he was going to make me eat again... But I got up regardlessly. I walked over to my closet and picked out my outfit for today; Skinny jeans, a big t-shirt and vans. I brushed my hair before going downstairs.
Vic was sitting at the table eating ceral, sugar coated, high calorie ceral. How does he do it? I walked over to the fridge and got out a grapefruit and sliced it in half (40 calories). I put the other half back in the fridge before sitting down next to Vic.
"Morning bro," he said, "Did you sleep good?"
No. "Yeah," I said, "You?"
"I did," he responded, "Oh, by the way we're picking up Austin and his cousin, Austin's car broke down..."
I nodded in response, taking a small bite of my grapefruit.
"What's his cousin's name again?" Vic asked, chuckling to himself.
"Tony," I said, quietly. The thought of Tony made me nervous. I don't know why though, I just met the kid. But maybe that's why... I mean, I guess I want him to accept me. Maybe I'm just nervous that he won't because of how I look. I wish I could've met him in a few months, when I'll be thin.
"Ok," Vic said, shrugging, "Let's go!"
I looked at my half eaten breakfast, before getting up and throwing the rest away. "I'm coming," I said.
Half way through computer class I desided that it doesn't matter what Tony thinks about me. If he wants to be my friend then so be it, but I'm not going to let him hurt me if he doesn't. I don't understand why I spent so much time thinking about this though. It must be this class, it's pretty boring.
When class ended I picked up my stuff and went out into the hallway, where Tony was waiting. When he saw me he smiled and waved me over. I couldn't help but get butterfly's in my stomach when I saw him. Get it together Mike, you're fine.
"Hey Mikey!" he exclaimed when I got over to him, "How was first period?"
"Pretty boring," I responded chuckling, trying not to act so nervous and weird, "What about yours?"
"It was great!" he said, "We made cookies today. Want one?"
Do I ever! "No thanks," I said quietly, "I'm not hungry." Lie.
"Ok," he said, smiling again, "Let's get to music! Lead the way."
I couldn't help but return his smile before leading him to the music room.
In music today our teacher announced that for this semester we'd be in groups of three or four writing music. And for our final project we'd be performing a song, featuring at least 2 different instruments and a vocal part. I instantly went to Vic, he writes music and can actually sing pretty well...
We looked around the classroom for our 3rd partner, it looked like a majority of the people had already formed groups. Then I saw Tony sitting alone, of corse he didn't have many friends yet... It's only his second day here.
"How about Tony?" I asked Vic, "He plays guitar like you, so we could do some cool stuff..."
Vic shrugged and said, "Sure, why not..."
"Hey Tone," I yelled at him, "Come here!"
He looked up at me for a moment, before getting up and walking over to us.
"Sup?" he asked.
"Want to work with Vic and I?" I asked.
He smiled, looking relieved before saying, "I'd love to!"

YEAH I KNOW I UPDATED LATE! SORRYNOTSORRY, I ACTUALLY DID THINGS TODAY...So Mike, why are you so nervous around Tony? Maybe you like him... But then again you just met him... Hmmmmm
