Mikes p.o.v.
My hand nervously reached for the golden doorknob and slowly pushed it open the smell of a vanilla candle filling my nostrils almost immediately "can I help you sir?" A woman asked "uh yeah" I say starring at her she had short black hair, brown eyes, she was tall with a slim figure and I guessed her to be Latin due to her noticeable accent "I need to speak to Mr. Valenzuela?" I say but it comes out as more of a question than a statement she chuckled "You mean Ms.Valenzuela?" She asked I starred down at the card and mentally cursed myself out "yeah that's what I meant, I'm sorry I'm a little nervous" I say with a chuckle she smiles "right this way" she says I nod and follow her passing the other male that was here he was too invested in his computer to acknowledge I was in the room She stopped at a brown door and knocked before walking in
"Valentina, this man needed to see you," She says to the beautiful blonde woman that was sitting behind the desk "gracias Cecilia you can close the door after you leave," She says to the woman who I now to be Cecilia she smiles and nods before meeting
"Please, Sit," She says gesturing to the chairs in front of her "whats your name?" She asked "Uh Mike Fuentes" I respond she smiles "Valentina Valenzuela," She says sticking her hand out for me to shake I smile and shake it " how can I help you today?" She asked resting her elbows on the mahogany wood "Well Im being accused of sexual misconduct with a minor" I say she pursed her lips "I see" she says "it happened over ten years ago I was 23 at the time she was 16 but I was unaware of that when we first met" I tell her she nods and types the information down in her computer "Did you ever become aware of her age?" She asked I nodded "yes a couple of months during the time we were talking one of her friends messaged me on MySpace informing me on her age" She nods "and did you continue speaking to the minor after this?" She asked i nod "yes I was young, and stupid i didn't care," I say she nods again "What exactly is she accusing you of?" She asked I sighed "statutory rape," I say with a sigh rubbing my temples "Did you have sexual intercourse with her?" Valentina asked I nod "this was after I found out her age," I say "so you slept with her already knowing her age," She asked confirming I nod.
"Unless she has any concrete evidence on you she cant really accuse you of something that happened 10 years ago," Valentina says "That's the thing though she still has every single message and picture we've ever sent each other" I say becoming frustrated "how do you know this information Mr.Fuentes?" She asked "She posted it on social media my fans informed me of it as soon as it happened," I tell her she stares at me confused "your fans?" She asked I nod "I'm the drummer of a band called Pierce The Veil," I tell her her eyes widened "no way?! My niece loves you guys" she says making me chuckle "well we appreciate the support" I say she sighed
"look Mike since you're in the public eye I want you to keep off social media no more posting on any media outlet I suggest you and your band put out a public statement apologizing I'll revise it to make sure there isn't any flaws in the story and we'll go from there I'll keep investigating. We're going to get you out of this situation okay" Valentina says I nod letting out a relieved sigh "Thank you seriously thank you for this" I say she nods "It's my job" she says with a smile "I'll see you later Mike and I suggest you get started on that apology letter" she says I nod and stand "thank you again" she nods and stands as well "I'll see you soon Mike" she says I nod and leave her office
Things are finally going to start looking up. I can feel it.
