Why do you keep running away?

Jaime's POV- (shocking right?) ****one week later****

I sat on the bus just wanting to get this week over with, I stared out the window looking out at the beautiful mountains. We were on our way to Albuquerque New Mexico to 'discover' a new band so we can collaborate with them on a new single. We had the contest last week and got over 209 enteries for it. We only had to pick one band which we all had to agree on. And this is the week Sleeping with Sirens, All time Low, and Pierce the veil will be recording with the winners. Sleeping with Sirens and All time low are in a different bus traveling from Baltimore and Oregon. And Austin and his little sister Tris are traveling on their own to Albuquerque with Austin's car. They just wanted to hang out with us since Austin and the rest of his band are on a short break from tour. This should be fun, or whatever.

Our manager only managed to get a demo CD from the winning band's manager. It's a shame that we couldn't get a picture. They were apparently an all girl post-hardcore and between kind of metal band. They were called 'Hidden Scars'. I got to admit they were really good. Especially the singer
I continued to stare out the window while Vic started to play video games that Mike forced him to play. This is new. He never liked video games or even watching Tony, Mike, or I play it. My attention was brought back to him. It was entertaining to see him trying to play fifa.
"What the fuck Ref!?!?" Vic started to shout pointing violently at the tv as the ref gave him a red card. I laughed when he saw the final score. 9-1. (Vic lost). "Damn dude you suck" Tony laughed. "Fuck you! This is why I don't play video games". Vic got up and tried to look for the off button on the X-box 360. It was right infront if him. And it's the brightest color lighting up. He pressed the open putton and hit it with his palm.
"How do you turn this game box or whatever it's called, off?" Vic asked struggling to find the obvious off button. I laughed. "Ok grandpa let me do that". I got up and pressed the green button. He stormed off into the lounge. I shook my head still laughing.
"What time are we going to get to New Mexico?" Mike asked. "Around 5:30 pm, it's 5:00 right now" Tony said pulling out his phone. Mike nodded. "What the hell is this Jaime!? I told you not to leave your junk in the lounge!" Vic shouted. I ran to the back. He had a bracelet in his hand. It was torn up and rugged. I've had that for so long. You can barely even read the words printed on it. "Don't touch that!" I screamed snatching it from his hands. "Why?" Vic asked sounding like an annoying toddler. "Don't ever fucking touch this! Don't throw it out EVER!" I said making it clear. "Jesus, what's the big deal? It's just a peice of string" Vic said. By now Tony and Mike came to see what was happening. "It's not just a piece of string! It's the only thing I have left of her!".
"Of who?" Vic asked. "Tierra" I managed to say. Wow. I haven't said her name in years. Tony, Mike, and Vic fell silent. They haven't heard her name in years. We gave each other blank expressions not knowing what to say.

Tierra gave me this bracelet the first day we met in kindergarten. I was getting beat up by a neighborhood bully who was in second grade. He beat me up over my hair just because it was curly. He pushed me down and one of his friends started to kick me and punch me together. None of the other kids would help, they just watched. But Tierra stepped in and beat their second grade asses up. She helped me up and gave me this bracelet and told me never to lose it. And I never did lose it. I kept my promise.
The day I moved was the day Tierra ran away. I regreted not staying with her. Maybe she wouldn't have left if I stayed. I blame myself for her leaving everyday.

Tears started to stream down my face. I felt myself break down inside. "Jaime I'm sorry, I didn't know" Vic quickly said. He wrapped me in a hug. "Shhh don't cry, I'm sorry" he said.

I calmed down and hugged Vic back. "Fuenciado! Fuenciado!" Tony and Mike started to chant. I flipped them off. "You're lucky I love you guys" I said slightly pushing Vic off of my hug.

I sat back down on the couch as the guys started to watch tv again. My ringtone came on. I checked the called Id.
'Little Sis' appeared with a picture of Tris's face appearing on the screen. I smiled and answered. "Hime time!" she screamed joyfully. I lit up all of a sudden. "What's up?" I asked. "Nothing big bro". We called each other brother and sister because she was like my litter sister. I always stood up for her, I gave her gifts, we gossip together. I even protect her from boys. But, one time she hated me for a whole month because I chased away a boy she really like and she wasn't happy about it. But then she got me back by chasing away a girl I liked by telling her I only liked Vic and only liked boys. People thought I was gay for a whole 2 months.
"Where are you guys at?" I asked. "We're still packing, Austin is taking forver" she said. "What about you guys? what are you up to?" She asked. I put it on speaker. "Say hi, Tris is on the phone" I announced to the guys. "Hey rugrat!" Tony shouted. "wattup whiskey princess?" Mike said. "Hey! You still owe me 20 dollars!" Vic shouted. "Hey guys!" she shouted. I took her off speaker. "We're just hanging out" I responded.

"Ok, I have to go, Austin is starting to complain about something useless" She said. "Ok bye Tierra" I hung up.

"Oh shit!" I said realizing I called her by her sisters name. She doesn't like to mention her sister. That's how she fell into depression.
