Winning you over was the hardest thing to do

Candace's pov-

After seeing the little make out session between Jessica and Jaime, I felt really awkward. I decided to go into a little room that connected with the dressing room. I needed to get out of there. I opened the door and got in quickly. I locked it and turned around. "Finally I get peace" I said opening my eyes.

"Ah!" I screamed seeing Vic on the couch with his guitar.
"Not so quiet after all" he chuckled at his own joke. "I just needed to get away from the party" I said taking a seat by him. "Yeah, I know how you feel" he said. "So how did you and Jaime's lunch date go?" He asked with a snicker. "It was not a lunch date, I felt sorry for him so I went to lunch with him." I explained. He chuckled. "you still haven't answered my question yet" he said. I gave him a serious look. "It went ok, I met All-Time-Low and got to hang out with them" I said taking a sip of my red wine.

"Cool" he said strumming his guitar. "Vic" I said snapping him out of his daydream. "Yeah?" He asked. "Can I tell you something?" I asked. "Sure". I put my cup down on a table and sat up straight. "Earlier, did you see my ring?" I asked. His eyes widened and his hands started to quiver. "Yeah" he finally admitted. "Do you think I'm married?" I asked. "Well yeah, doesn't a ring on your left ring finger represent marriage?" He asked. "No, I mean yeah, but I wear it for a different reason" I said. "Why?" He asked

"This is personal" I said. I looked up at him. "I understand if you don't want to tell me" he said going back to his guitar. "No, I want to tell you" I said quickly. "Ok"

"When I was 18 I got married, I love this guy, he was perfect. He supported me through everything" I began. "But, i walked to his house one day and I saw him kissing another girl" I said holding my tears back. "Apparently he had been cheating on me with my sister Kylie for a very long time, I don't talk to my sister anymore, and my brother, my mom and dad are both very addicted to drugs and alcohol and the abuse got worse when my brother left and moved to Utah" I said.

I told him about my past and all that. "Wow you had a rough childhood" Vic said hugging me. He pulled away. "Don't you ever just want to take it off and throw it in the ocean where it could be lost forever?" He asked putting his guitar away. "No" I said sternly.

He sat back down. He got closer to me and put an arm around my shoulder. I looked at his and admired his beautiful brown eyes, his wavy hair. He was very handsome. "I'm always here if you need me" he said. He grabbed my hands and kissed them. He looked deep into my eyes and leaned in for a kiss. I caught myself leaning in too.

"Hey Vic! I need a favor!" Someone asked bursting through the door. We jumped apart before anything could happen. "What do you need Mike?" He asked angry. "Can you get some more drinks, we're almost out" he said holding up an empty whiskey bottle. "No Mike, I don't care if you're my little brother we can't be drunk in front of mom and dad tonight" Vic said stubbornly crossing his arms. I looked at Vic with confusion. "You're related?!?" I asked. "Yeah, Mike's my little brother" Vic said. I looked back and forth between them.

It can't be. Vic is small and Mike is tall they both look totally different and have no similarly personality. I bursted out laughing. "Why is that funny?" Vic asked. "Nothing, it's just hilarious" I laughed trying to catch my breath. Vic and Mike rolled their eyes. "Whatever bye" Mike said closing the door. I looked at Vic and he looked pissed off.

"Where's TJ and Tony?" I asked trying to change the subject. "I don't know" Vic said.
