~ Darling You'll Be Okay ~

6pm. I was in the shower, carefully washing myself as my skin was starting to bruise from my misbehaviour today. Why I thought it was okay to stand up to him, I'll never know. How could I have been that stupid? I shouldn't have called Vic. I should have listened to Dougie. Once I was showered I got out and slowly made my way to the bedroom.
Dougie had just left to go to the pub for his friends birthday so he left me at home. Didn't want his friends seeing me and trying to push their luck. In a way I was glad I was staying at home because even if I was covered from head-to-toe, if one of his friends even looked at me in a wrong way, it would have been my fault. Everything is my fault.
I turned my laptop on and logged into Spotify, listening to my song. Hold on til May. I got my pyjamas on and straightened my hair a little just to kill some of the frizz. I was halfway through defrizzing my hair when my laptop started to ring. I looked at the screen and smiled at the caller ID. Tony was skyping me. Which meant it was Tony with Vic sitting next to him until he worked his way around the new update for Skype. I accepted the call, humming the song to myself as it connected.
"Hey Amy!" I heard Tony yell before the video came through. I giggled a little once the photo came on and smiled at them.
"Hey Tony. How's the tour?"
"It's great. You're missing out though. You should be here!"
I sighed a little. "I want to be there. Or even just to go to one of the shows to see you guys but I can't. Busy schedule." I shrugged.
Vic frowned a little and looked at me. "Amy... What happened to your eye?"
My heart dropped in my chest and I looked away from the camera. "Nothing. Probably just the shadow or something?" I shrugged again.
He sighed. "Shadows don't make eyes look purple and green."
"I fell over. You know I am clumsy. Some dog in the park got under my feet and I fell. Face landed on a rock."
I heard Jaime's laugh in the background. "Sounds like our Chicken."
"Hey! Only Victor gets to call me that."
I saw Vic try to hid a smile at me using his name like that. "Honestly Vic. I just fell over a silly little dog that's all."
He nodded and I felt my insides slowly relax as he started to believe me.
"Where's Dougie?" He asked.
"It's his friend's birthday so he's gone to the pub for the night. I'll probably not see him until the morning." I smiled.
"So does that mean you're free tonight?" I saw his face light up.
"I guess so. Just gonna sit in my pj's and watch crappy TV." I smiled at his through the screen.
Tony stood up all of a sudden and moved away from the laptop, going over to their tour manager and whispering something. Then they both left the room. "Where are they going?"
"You'll see." He grinned and Jaime took Tony's seat.
"Where's Mike?" I pouted.
"I think he went for some sleep before the show starts tonight."
"Sleep? Doesn't it start in an hour?"
"Yheah but we don't go on until 9 so we have a little longer."
"Ahh okay." I sighed. "I wish I was there. I want to see you play. I miss seeing you play."
Vic tried to hide his smile. "Okay I can't keep it a secret. Dammit Amy why can't I keep things from you?"
I raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"
"Tony... He's on his way to pick you up. We're in the next town over tonight. You're coming to see us."
I grinned and physically jumped off of the bed and rushed to my wardrobe. "OH MY GOD! Really?"
Jaime laughed so hard he fell off of his chair, which set Vic off laughing.
"Guys! Hello? Please tell me this is not a joke. Please."
"It's not a joke, Amy." Vic said once he calmed down from laughing at Jaime. "He'll be there in half an hour. Get ready and we'll see you soon."
I grinned and took some clothes out of the wardrobe, turning my laptop around to face the far wall as I got changed into my skinnies from earlier and a long sleeved Of Mice & Men top. When I turned the laptop back round Vic chuckled. "Thanks for the support."
"Hey! My PTV one is in the wash... Sorry." I pouted and he smiled.
"Well I have to go to sound check. I'll see you soon."
I raised an eyebrow. "Sound check without the guitarist?"
"Someone can fill in for him. He is on an important mission."
We both laughed.
"I'll see you soon, Chicken."
I smiled.
"See you soon, Victor."
Half an hour later I was being swept off of the floor by Tony as he span me a cuddled me.
"Hey midget."
I frowned and punched his shoulder playfully. "I'm not that small. I'm the same height as Vic."
"No. He is taller than you."
I laughed at him and got into the car and smiled, happier than I had felt in years. "Let's goooooo!"
When we arrived at the arena I was allowed to go in the back entrance with the bands and I was led to the boys room. It was empty when I got inside and I sat down on the couch.
"Where is everyone?" I asked Tony.
"They're probably still at Sound Check." He smiled and sat in the chair opposite me.
It wasn't long until we heard them coming up the corridor. Vic singing away to himself, Mike (who looked like he had just woke up) banging away on air drums and Jamie... being Jaime. I stood up and ran straight over to Vic when he came in the room and I wrapped my arms around him, knocking him off balance and making us both fall into the wall behind him.
His face lit up like a child at Christmas. "I thought we'd be waiting for you, not the other way round."
I giggled. "Yheah... I think we broke every single speeding law on the way here... my fault." His arms tightened around me and I winced, causing him to frown a little.
"What?"
"Nothing. You're strong that's all."
I smiled and took a step back so he could move away from the wall, his arms staying around me making my top lift a little and making the bruises that were starting to become very visible show on my stomach and hips.
"Amy... What are they?"
"..." I looked at him, thinking of an excuse. "From when I fell over the dog..."
The rest of the guys stayed quiet and just looked at me and Vic.
"If you fell and landed on a rock on your face you'd have just hurt your stomach... Not your sides as well... What happened?"
He studied my face for a second. "I'll kill him.. It was Dougie wasn't it." It wasn't a question. He was stating it as a fact. He knew...
"It was my fault... I wasn't doing as I was told. I was talking about him behind his back... He heard me on the phone to you this afternoon."
"You're defending him?" He raised an eyebrow then pulled me to his chest for a long, tight hug. "Amy... I'm so sorry I wasn't there."
"Vic. It was my fault." I felt my eyes start to fill with tears but refused to let them fall. "It was my fault. I'm stupid."
"Hey... I'm pretty sure it's not your fault. You're allowed to talk about people. All you were saying is that you wanted some time away. I can see why..."
He kissed my forehead. "He'll never touch you again. I promise. You'll be okay, darling."
I smiled a little.
"Right. You have the best seat in the house. Side of stage. You can see everything." He smiled back softly. "And you're staying with us tonight. I am not letting you go home to him."
I looked at him and shook my head. "I can't... I have to be home when he gets back..."
He shook his head. "You're staying with me. I'm not letting him hurt you again. Now let's go watch the show."
