I don't care if you're contagious

~Nobody knows I dream about it~

My name is Amy. I'm 23 years old and my life sucks. That is my life summed up in twelve words. My best friend is never actually around because he's touring with his band. Vic Fuentes is the singer of the band Pierce the Veil but he has been my best friend for a lot longer. He was touring at the moment. Things always got bad when he was touring.
I was laying in bed on a Sunday morning, waiting for Dougie to wake up beside me. Dougie is my boyfriend. And he was also the reason for my black eye. Technically it was my fault. I wound him up and wouldn't stop pushing him. Vic didn't know about it and it was going to stay that way because it would have healed by the time he got home.
I quietly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to get a quick shower. Doug hated it if I wasn't presentable on a morning. He didn't like waking up before me because he didn't like looking at my face with no make up on and with my bed hair. I could understand where he was coming from because even with make up I wasn't exactly something good to look at. Dougie liked to remind me of that on occasion. But still, I stayed with him because I could see the nicer side that was inside of him. On occasion he was nice to me. And when he was nice, he was lovely. But as our relationsip progressed, the nicer him tended to stay away for longer periods of time.
I showered, got dressed into a pair of black skinnies and an oversized grey jumper, straigtened my naturally frizzy, dyed black hair and applied my makeup. A thin layer of light foundation, thick black eyeliner, some mascara and a very soft shade of caramel lipstick. Once I was (almost) presentable I went downstairs and started to fry some bacon for Doug.
I heard him come down the stairs as I was putting the bacon onto the bread for him. I turned and smiled.
"Morning, babe. Sleep well?" I put the sandwich in front of him and kissed his cheek.
He looked at me and I was unable to read his expression but after a few seconds it softened and he smiled. "Yheah thanks. Coffee?" He raised an eyebrow.
I bit my lip and flipped on the kettle. "Sorry... I thought you would have stayed in bed a little longer."
He frowned and I felt my stomach twist "Are you calling me lazy?"
"N-no..." I looked at him. "It's just normally I have it done for you so you must have gotten up a few minutes earlier." I smiled at him and turned away to fill his cup with a spoonful of coffee and his regular three sugars. "Don't forget you have your opticians appiontment today." I turned to look at him and jumped slightly when he was stood right behind me. "Jesus, Doug..."
He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "I didn't mean to scare you." He snaked his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. "I'm sorry."
I tensed slightly, my sides a little sore from 'falling' down the stairs, and I smiled at him. "I, uhmm... Coffee..." I turned in his arms and poured the water into the mug, stiring slowly before moving his arms from me and handing him his cup.
"I'm going into town today. Need some food shopping."
He nodded. "You can go when you drop me off at the opticians. Then when you're done you can pick me up."
I sighed softly. "I was going to go meet my mam in town today, Doug. I've been telling you for the last couple of days."
He frowned. "Amy. You will drop me off and pick me up. Take your mam food shopping with you."
I nodded and bit my lip, taking his empty plate and putting it in the dishwasher to go on later. There really was no point in arguing with him. Because one way or the other he always got his own way. And he really didn't like my mother. Said I spent too much time with her and not enough with him.
A few hours later I was in the car outside the optictians, dropping off Dougie. He kissed my cheek and got out. "I should be around half an hour. No mam." He looked at me through the window and I nodded.
"Yheah, I know... I'll pick you up when I've finished the shopping."
"You'll pick me up in half an hour, shopping done or not."
I sighed and nodded. "Okay. Now go. You'll be late."
He frowned, hating being told what to do but he went inside anyway. Then I drove off and to the supermarket where I had agreed to meet my mam.
When I got to the supermarket I smiled a little when I saw my mother and parked the car next to hers, getting out and huging her.
"Hey mammy." I smiled as she hugged me back.
"Hey sweetie. Why the change of plan?"
"Doug has an appointment and then he wanted to spend the day with me so he asked if I could change my meeting up with you." I lied with a smile.
She smiled back and nodded, pulling away from the hug and walking over to grab a trolley for the shopping. "Let's go then."
We spent 25 minutes and a little over £150 on both of our shops and when it was time for me to go and pick upp Dougie I kissed my mam on the cheek. getting into the car.
"You should bring Doug over for lunch next Sunday." She smiled and got into her car.
I nodded and smiled. "I'll ask him when I see him and text you later. See you later, mam."
We both drove off, going our seperate ways, her car driving towards the outside of town and mine heading into town to go pick up Dougie.
He was waiting outside of the opticians when I got there.
"You're late." He frowned, getting into the car.
I sighed. "By two minutes. There was traffic."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I said half an hour. Thats thirty minutes. Not thirty two minutes."
"Doug, it's two minutes!" I frowned, starting the car and starting to drive home.
We drove home in silence because I was scared to say the wrong thing to him. I didn't speak again until I parked outside of his house.
"My mam invited us over for lunch next Sunday. I said I'd ask you before getting back to her." He just looked at me and I sighed. "I'll tell her we have plans." I got out of the car and started to take the shopping in from the boot of the car. "Could I have a little help please?" I smiled at him and he just frowned, shaking his head and going inside.
I sighed and made the four trips in and out of the house before I started to put away the shopping, Dougie sitting on the sofa with a bottle of beer. "Please don't drink too much, babe." I sighed and looked at him.
"I will do what I want to do, bitch." He frowned and kept drinking.
I bit my lip, eyes filling as I kept putting away the shopping. Once I finished, I turned to look at him. "I'm going upstairs. Shout up if you want anything."
"If you're calling that dick from that shitty band again..." He glared at me.
I just ignored him and kept going upstairs, pulling out my phone and dialling Vic's number.
Vic answered after the second ring and I grinned when he answered. "Hey chicken!" Chicken is his nickname for me because when we were younger I was scared of everything... I guess it just stuck.
I sat on the bed and smiled. "Hey Victor." I heard his little laugh and I instantly felt better about my crappy day. "How's the tour?"
He sighed softly. "It's good. Glad it's nearly over though because I need my own bed." I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Yheah, it'll be nice to see you again too." I laughed softly.
"Amy?"
"Yheah?"
"Shut up." He chuckled. "You know I miss you." That made me grin.
"How's Mike?" I smiled. Mike was like my annoying little brother.
"He's good. He's here if you want to talk to him?"
"No, I'm fine...Just... hurry up and come home, yheah?"
"Amy what's wrong?" His voice sounded thick with worry.
"Nothing's wrong, I just need a break from Dougie." I sighed softly.
"Why? What's happened?"
I sighed again. "Nothing, Vic. He's just getting a little clingy. Look, I'll call you tomorrow, okay?"
It was his turn to sigh now. "Okay... Love you."
"I know you do." I grinned. "See you soon." I hung up and sighed, looking up and seeing Dougie in the doorway.
"You need a break from me?" He frowned. "I am not clingy! You're the one who wants to keep disappearing so am I not allowed to want to know where you are going?!"
I frowned and stood up, looking at him and suddenly regretting it when he walked over to me. "Dougie, you stop me from seeing my friends, you stop me from seeing my own mother!"
He closed his eyes and his jaw clenched, then his fist came flying towards my stomach.
