"Ah Berkeley there you are!" Bodhi said as he engulfed me in a hug. He ruffled my white hair and kissed me on the cheek, doing the same to Mike and Vic.
I grab my snowboard and surf board, loading them up into Bodhi's Range Rover.
"You guys know what we are in for right? You can turn back now but once you get in that truck, there's no going back." He spoke dangerously low.
" we're ready, we trained our whole lives for this." Vic said and as soon as the last word left his mouth we all had a smile on our face.
"Alright meet the crew." Bodhi replied and hit the side of his car twice , and three people got out. Two of them were men, and another was a women, about my age.
"Mike, Vic, Berk... This is Tony, Oliver and Shiva. They will be apart of the mission, along with others waiting.! So let's get a move on!" Bodhi quickly introduced us and rushed us along. We loaded up the car and then we were on our way down the mountain and to the airport.
It it was a silent ride until Oliver spoke up.
"You two are brothers?" He asked politely and pointed to Mike and Vic who just nodded. He sounded like he was from Britain or somewhere around there.
"And you... You're Osaki's prodigy. We've heard all about you." He snickered a little bit, and so did the others. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"Oh yeah? Like what?" I dared him. Yeah sure, I've made some mistakes, I mean who hasn't?
He just smiled and then it was Tony who spoke up. His name is Tony right?
"Well, that you are the best and most promised to make it through. And..." He spoke almost like it was forbidden to say.
"And... What?" I mocked him a little, getting a little eye roll gesture.
"And you have the blood of the dragon in you. That you can't burn."
But it was true. I do have the blood of the dragon, I don't burn. My white blonde hair was only common in the mideveil times, saying that the King Henry ... You know who murdered like 20 wives? Had white hair and all of his children did, saying that they were destined to go mad. I don't know my last name, Osaki didn't tell me that much, But I do know I can't be burned.
Three years ago ago when I turned fifteen, my fellow brothers and sisters did not believe me when Osaki said I was the one true dragon. The last dragon. So when we went on a mission to prepare for the 8 in Hawaii I jumped into a Lava dome. I climbed out with no clothes on but I still had managed to not die.
I was the last true dragon.
"well you are just going to have to wait and see." I smiled and sat back in my seat. It was a little crowded but it was familiar, and I know I will not get any of that any time soon.
