Changing the world

I

"You can't do this, you don't know what might go wrong!! Or who you might run into! Let us come with you. We can all reach Nirvana together Berkeley. There are no rules against others doing it with you." Mike spoke roughly.

I shoved everything I would need for The 8 into my water proof back pack. I would only take what I would need for this whole trip. This was it, my time to give back my energy to what gave me life.
"No, I'm not going to risk your life for something I've wanted my entire existence. Osaki raised me to do this on my own, I'm well prepared." I snapped back, this was getting annoying.
I needed to do this on my own, there's no way I could reach my destination with anyone else holding me down. I couldn't risk losing a opportunity to make sure they were okay.
"We all grew up under Osaki Berk! We all want this! We are all trained professional extreme sport athletes. God Damn can't you see?!" This time it was Vic speaking.
Osaki had a little orphange of promised athletes who would follow him. It started with thirty of us, now it's me, Mike and Vic. Those two hoonigans are brothers, saved from a sex trafficking ring in Mexico. Fighters they were.
And it was in that moment, right there that I realized they were fighters, and they wanted this just as much as I did.
"Pack your shit lads, I'm calling Bodhi." I spoke rather raspy, but my love was there.

Osaki raised us to be the best of the best of the very very best. He taught, fed, clothed and cared for us. Until one by one, each student dropped out, claiming they were prepared for the 8.
We all learned very quickly that they weren't.

Each ordeal is a level of Nirvana, and you keep repeating the ordeal until you master it or complete it. Even in death.

We live off the earth, we give back more than what we take, and we leave no trace.

I grab our house SAT phone and dial the number Bodhi gave us when he came to visit a couple weeks ago. He was Osaki's first student and only son. His named means enlightenment and light bringer. He claimed to start up the 8 soon, said he had sponsors for money and housers. I did not believe me help, but I know Bohdi has it all mapped out to the second, and I'm not missing out.

"Bodhi it's me Berkeley, we're ready."

"On my way."
