The beach is for lovers, not lonely losers.

Day 1

We arrived at our new house around 7 p.m and as we got in we saw that all of the big furniture were already there and so were the boxes, stacked up in front of the kitchen bar. Our dad told us that he was going to take of unpacking the boxes that were here and suggested that we'd go to our room to unpack and maybe get some rest. Me and my brother climbed up the stairs with our suitcases, I turned left to enter my room and my brother turned right, his door was facing mine at the end of the corridor.

The first thing I saw when I got inside my room was this big bow window that gave me a clear view on the neighborhood street. The first I did was to close the black colored curtains to have some privacy. I looked around, the walls were plain white wich didn't bothered me. Mybed was already installed, all that I had to do was to put my sheets on, which I immediatly did. In front of the window, was a huge closet that started from the angle of the wall, the the door that led to the hallway. I visited my bathroom, the door was facing my bed. The first thing I did when I got backto my was, was unboxing all my clothes, and alors taking the ones in my suitcase and put the away in my closet, I also did the same with all my shoes and accesories and put my suitcase on the higher shelve. I had 4 boxes out of 10 unpacked and it was only 8 p.m. It took me aproximatively 2 more hours to take all my stuff out of the boxes and arrange them here and there. The last thing I did was hanging my Nirvana flag above my bed and ad light strings around the flag, and bam, it's done. I yawned a littleand thought that maybe it was time for to get some sleep. I changed into some more confortable clothes which meant a black crop top and my short with little pineapples on it. I went to the bathroom and brushed my theeths and removed the make up left. I turned of the light and went straight to my bed checking my phone before. I had a few messages from the guys back in Liverpool, I answered really quickly and soon enough, I felt asleep.

NOON - SUNDAY. Day 1 in San Diego.
I was awoken by a knock on the front door downstairs. I lookedat the timeon my phone and decided it might be time for me to get up. I took my black American Apparel jacket and put in on and I was about to get a shower when I heard someone calling me downstair.

"Drew !" It was my father "Come down please!"

I did as I were told and while I was crossing the hallway I heard voices downstairs. Voices I didn't seemed to recognize. As I got downstair, I could see 6 people standing inmy living room, two of them were mybrother and my dad and the other four were probably neighbors, welcoming us ?

"This is Drew my daugter, she is 16, " my father introduced me.

"Hi" I simply said "Nice to meet you..." I added, I stared at my bare feet, as I felt all looks on me.
I'm an ambivert but when I meet new people my introvert side comes out, and my shyness too.

The only women, well besides me, spoke up.

"Hi," she said, "I'm Vivian and this is my husband Victor, " she added, looking at an older man,

"This is my oldest son Victor..." She was cut by her son

"You can call me Vic, Victor is my father" he declared, which mademe and everyone else laugh a little

"And at last this is my youngest son Mike," she continued, "We are lving right across the street."

I simply smile to her, not really knowing what to say. I was right, they are our neighbors, and our neighbors son are staring at me, and that's kind of becoming awkward. There was a small silence, no one really knew what to say.

"We're going to the same high school, so if you guys want tomorrow we can drop you off, and show you around ?" Vic asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah that'll be cool, thank's ! " My brother responded. They exchanged numbers, while I politely said goodbye and got back to room. I had received two text from unknown number, apparently my brother had given my phone number too.

The rest of the day was pretty chill, I took a shower and spent a part of my afternoon binge watching Two Broke Girls on my computer and finishing the book I had started on the plane, called Devil's Knot by Mara Leveritt. Around 7 p.m my dad called us for dinner and when I got back up I decided to go to bed since tomorrow was going to be a big day and I was tired. I snucked up under my two blankets, yes two, it's fall and I'm always cold, when I received a text.
