Going Back To the Past

*FLASH BACK*
I got up as I heard my alarm going off. I didn't sleep last night. Knowing that it was my first day of senior year kept me up all night. I couldn't wait for this year to be over. I could move away and not have to worry about all the bull shit in my life. I lived in the lovely city of San Diego. Yea lovely, I mean It's nice here and all but I'm bored of it. I craved something new, and after graduation I would get something new.

I pulled up my hair so I could wash my face without getting it wet, I had golden brown hair that was wavy. When I was younger I hated my wavy hair so I would straighten the shit out of it, which ended up killing it. I have grown to appreciate the just of out of bed wave that it now had. After washing my face I put on make up and got dressed. I had picked out my outfit the night before. Dark wash jeans, black bleached dyed t-shirt with the sleeves cupped, and a flannel tied around my waist.

By the time I was ready it was close to 7, so I headed down stairs my my mom was on the phone with my dad. They were arguing over who know what. They had gotten a divorce after my mom caught him cheating with one of our neighbors. After a month of trying to work it out mom finally kicked him out and hired a lawyer. I hate to say it but I don't blame her, it need to happen.

"Leaving" I yelled as I walked out the door. I walked down the driveway to my car. During the divorce in hopes to win me over my dad bought me a car. Despite his efforts the state left me to mom, but there is no bad feelings over it. Dad knows it wasn't my choice at that moment. I get in and turned the key to start the car. I drive down the street to Megan's house. She is waiting on her porch talking to her older brother. They both walk down to my car. "Anna we are seniors!" Megan practically screams." Yea Me and half of San Diego now know. Let's go we are going to be late." Megan got into the car, her brother waves and then we are off.
"Why isn't Jacob going to school this year?" I asked Megan " You know my brother, he's all about the experience of life, he's taking a gap year to explore his options."

We pull into the school to find kid walking in, normal school day activity. That's when I see Vic getting out of a friends car. "Look it's Vic." Megan states. "Yea it is." I reply in a monotone voice. " I thought you guys made out and shit over the summer?" Megan asked. This is true we did but it was never real, you know. It's like I was a rebound when other relationships didn't work out.

It was the same route that had been replaying for going on 2 years. I met Vic when we were freshman. We started out as friends then we got really close, would talk about dating and it never happened. He would always find a girl that was the same as me just would put out. Don't get me wrong I really like Vic But I'm not ready to give up my V card just yet. Over the summer we came really close, as close as anyone could come to having sex. Then my mom came home, thanks mom. After that he acted like nothing happened and we went back to being friends. He then started to date another girl and left me crushed into pieces, which Megan doesn't know. I guess I'm afraid of telling her everything because she will tell me what I've be denying for years. That he's just using me to feel good about himself.
"Can we just go in now?" I ask. "Sure man, let's go"
