Today I Saw the Whole World

What's Happening to Me?

Carolina's POV
“Crap.” I thought as I felt a gush. I said many curse words in my head, and mouthed some too. I couldn't believe this was happening. Why? Why me? Why did I have to start my period now? I headed to the bathroom to put some toilet paper in my underwear. Luckily everyone was sound asleep.
“Tony. Tony.” I whispered. He didn't reply.
I wrote a note saying 'Be back soon, had to get something' and left it on the kitchen counter. Then I quietly exited the suite and called a cab, I had already gotten into jeans and put Tony's hoodie on, so that kept me warm on cold nights like these. I went to a convenient store that was open pretty late and got some pads with some money out of Tony's wallet, I was going to tell him as soon as he woke up that I borrowed it and I would pay him back. Then I went to the restroom in the store and put a pad on, thanked the cashier, and got back in the cab. When I got back to the suite, everyone was still asleep, so I took the note and threw it in the trash, then put the pads in one of my bags, and went back to bed.
“Are you okay?” Tony asked.
“Yeah, fine.” I said.
He turned around and held me, and it was at that moment I felt safe, and fell asleep. When it was morning, I smelled food, actually food. Breakfast? Tony was already up, so I got up and got dressed and went into the front room, and there were the guys, eating breakfast.
“Hey, Carolina!” Jaime said.
“We got you breakfast.” Tony finished the sentence for him.
I was curious as to what was going on, so I gave all the guys a look, what I like to call the 'evil eye', which I've had since the fifth grade, and sat down and picked up my fork, and started to eat.
“So how are you feeling?” Vic asked.
I was so shocked Vic, out of all people would ask that.
“Um, fine?” I replied, as a question, because I don't know why he would ask that.
I saw Tony look at Vic and shake his head in disapproval.
“Oh God,” I started. “You guys know?” I asked.
“Know what?” Vic asked.
“Shut up, Vic! You know we know! Don't be such a jerk.” Tony said.
I looked down, feeling super embarrassed. At this point, it was the first time I'd want to hurt myself in a long time, the first time since I met Tony.
“How did you find out?” I asked.
“Mike found the note in the trash, and I saw what you bought in your bag.” Tony replied.
Feeling frustrated and embarrassed, I stood up and rushed out of the suite and went down to the lobby. I sat down at a table and I just needed to think, about the good, but it felt like all the bad was happening. I saw Tony come down and he apologized for prying. I forgave him.
“Do you want to finish your breakfast?” Tony asked.
I laughed. “Yeah, I'd love that.” I replied.
Tony and I went back upstairs to the suite.
“Sorry, Carolina.” Jaime said.
“No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have overreacted like that.” I replied.
Jaime gave me a hug and I sat down and finished my breakfast.
“Hey guys, today's Saturday.” I said.
“Yeah? And?” Vic said.
“And, Ghost Adventures is on tonight, I can't watch it by myself.” I said.
“We'll be happy to watch it with you.” Tony said.
“Cool,” I started, “Then we can watch Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.” I said.
Everybody in the room looked shocked, especially Tony.
“What? That's my favorite one.” I said.
“Okay, cool.” Tony said with a smile.
We watched a certain episode of Ghost Adventures where the capture some 'chilling evidence' as they would say, and it scared the crap out of me.
“Oh, shit!” I said, burying my head into Tony's shoulder.
He rubbed my head and told me when it was over.
“Whew, thanks.” I said.
After that we watched the Star Wars movie, the only one I will probably ever watch because it has Liam Neeson in it, great actor that guy. After watching a whole lot of TV I decided to take a hot shower and go to bed, until I got a call from my mom. She basically asked where I was and if I was coming home, and I said I'd have to think about it. She said she missed me and I sort of believed her, and I sort of missed her too.
“Thanks.” I said, as I hung up the phone and started to cry myself to sleep.

Tony's POV
I slept pretty good, but in the middle of the night I felt Carolina get in bed so I asked her if she was okay.
“Yeah, fine.” She said.
When it was morning, Carolina was still asleep. I quietly got out of bed and started going to the restroom when something fell out of one of Carolina's bags, pads. It must have been that time of the month. I mean yeah, I'm a guy, but I learned in junior high about that. I put the pads back into the bag and went into the kitchen.
“Hey, Tony.” Vic said. “Look what Mike found.”
It was a note, that said 'Be back soon, had to get something'.
“Where did you guys get that?” I asked.
“It was in the trash.” Mike replied.
“And what are you guys doing looking through the garbage?” I asked.
“It was right on top.” Vic replied.
“So what do you think she was getting?” Jaime asked.
“How do you even know it was her?” I asked.
“None of us have this handwriting.” Vic replied.
He had a point, we had all seen each others handwriting, and I was caught in a corner trying to stand up for Carolina.
“So do you think she was getting some lady stuff?” Jaime asked in a jokingly way, as the guys laughed.
“Will you just shut up, Jaime?!” I said, sitting down on the couch.
I felt guilty as Jaime's smile went away, I knew I gave it away, that Carolina was on her period, to all of them.
“I'm sorry.” Jaime said.
“No,” I started. “I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you like that.”
“So, she started?” Jaime asked as he sat down next to me.
“Yeah.” I replied.
I was glad Jaime understood, and didn't judge that I had feelings for this girl.
“Hey, let's order her breakfast.” Jaime suggested.
“What are you kidding?” Vic said. “It's like a million bucks!”
“I'm sure it's much more weirder for Carolina than it is for us.” Jaime said.
I was happy I wasn't the only one standing up for her now. So I ordered her and the guys breakfast, because we were pretty hungry too, and within ten minutes she woke up. We were already eating our breakfast.
“Hey, Carolina!” Jamie said.
“We got you breakfast.” I said, finishing the sentence for Jaime.
She looked curious, and gave us a certain look with her eyes that I think freaked all of us out, then she sat down, grabbed her fork, and started to eat. Everything was going fine, until Vic asked her how she felt.
“Um, fine?” She replied.
I feared something bad was about to happen. I looked at Vic, shaking my head in disapproval, because that was not cool.
“Oh, God. You guys know?” Carolina asked.
“Know what?” Vic said.
“Shut up, Vic! You know we know! Don't be such a jerk.” I said.
She looked down and was silent for a moment.
“How did you find out?” She asked.
“Mike found the note in the trash, and I saw what you bought in your bag.” I replied.
She stood up and rushed out of the room. I didn't think she would leave the hotel, so I went looking for her in the lobby and I found her.
“Hey,” I started. “I'm sorry for prying, I know you should have told me.”
“It's fine, really.” She said.
We were silent for a while.
“Do you want to finish your breakfast?” I asked her.
She laughed and said she'd love to. We went back up to the suite and Jaime apologized to Carolina and she apologized to Jaime, saying she shouldn't have acted that way. Jaime gave her a hug and she sat down to eat her breakfast.
“Hey guys, today's Saturday.” She said.
To me it was just another reminder that we had two more days until we had to leave, and I didn't want to leave her. Vic asked what was so special about Saturday, her reply was Ghost Adventures.
“I can't watch it by myself.” She said.
“We'll be happy to watch it with you.” I said.
She was happy, then suggested we watch Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace! What angel is this girl? We were all pretty shocked, me especially. She said that was her favorite one, and I was even more shocked.
“Okay, cool.” I said.
After watching a few episodes of Ghost Adventures, there was one episode that really scared Carolina when they showed what they caught on camera.
“Oh, shit!” She said, burying her head into my shoulder.
I rubbed her head and told her when it was over, and she thanked me. Then we watched the Star Wars movie Carolina insisted on watching. After that Carolina went to bed, and I stayed up for about an hour.
“So.” Vic said.
“So?” I replied with a question.
“So how are you going to handle this?” he asked.
I knew what he was talking talking about, about Carolina being on her period.
“I don't know, I guess I'll treat her extra special, which I don't have a problem with.” I replied.
Vic scoffed and went to his room.
“Don't worry about him, he's just jealous.” Mike said.
“Jealous? Of what?” I asked.
“That you found a good, nice girl and she makes you happy and he hasn't.” He replied.

I was shocked, yet I was sort of sad for Vic. Is this why he was so bitter to Carolina? After Mike told me this I went to bed.
