We'll Start A New Revolution

Now It's My Time And I'm Ready To Go

Kellin

Vic's hair was tied back, and he was screaming into the microphone, the events of yesterday just a distant memory now that we were finally on the first day of Warped. We were on main stage - surprisingly - and we were on after Pierce the Veil. Josh was having a good time up on the stage, sending shy smiles at the crowd, who had been more than welcoming of the new member. I had checked my twitter feed and the word had spread extremely quickly - everyone knew of Pierce the Veil's "big reveal" now.

'And we have a guest coming out on stage, please let me introduce to you...' Vic paused in his words, gesturing to the side stage. I flipped the microphone I was holding in the air so that it spun several times before landing back in my hand and walking back out onto the stage, 'my husband Kellin Quinn!'

The crowd screeched like banshee's and I bowed, giving Vic a fleeting hug.

'Hey guys, dare me to jump off of this Jersey bridge?' I started off the song. Vic and I had decided to reverse parts for the first verse. It sounded odd, but it was a good odd.

I could feel Josh's eyes on me as I pranced about the stage, Vic following close behind as he had handed his guitar to the tech. I got shivers up and down my back as Josh stepped up to the mic to scream, 'fuck with this new beat!' Vic looked over and gave him a thumbs up, Josh returning it with a shaky smile, before coming over to me and acting out a very suggestive move. I laughed, holding the mic away from my face, and turned around, running my fingers down his chest and flicking his shirt up at the bottom, flashing some of his extremely tan skin. I was leaning in very close and was almost positive my hair hit him across the face as I whipped around to finish the end of the song, our voices harmonizing.

Pierce the Veil walked offstage after the song ended and I stayed on, helping the techs change the backdrop to the Sleeping With Sirens one. A small portion of the crowd dispersed, while others at the edge of the audience milled around a bit, chatting to each other. Some wandered off and sat at the grassy area a little way off from the stage. The ones who held the best spots, right at the barrier, firmly clutched onto the fence in front of them as people tried pushing past them to get a better view before the set started.

'Kellin, get offstage.' I was soon shooed off, and I met my band at the back area. Vic was standing with them - he was going to cameo on Congratulations. I looped an arm around him and placed a kiss on his temple before tuning in to the discussion.

'So, what's the in fashion these days?' Justin was saying, spinning on the spot, modeling his current outfit - a tee shirt bearing some witty slogan and capris, teamed with Vans.

'Capris are out,' Jesse said, giving him a once over, 'always have been, always will.' Justin poked his tongue out at Jesse, who only shrugged, with Jack pitching in with,

'It's the truth.'

'Uh, studded belts are in.' Vic said, his statement seeming more like a question. Everyone stared at him and he shrugged, saying, 'I saw a lot of fans wearing studded stuff.'

'So, are you guys ready to play?' I said, moving away from Vic and running on the spot to warm myself up. I was getting jittery nerves, though I didn't know why. Gabe shot me a grin and tapped his sticks on a few of the surrounding boxes.

'Of course.' Justin looked at me with a blank expression on his face, clearly portraying his feelings in a highly facetious manner. Jack nodded and nudged Jesse, who had started stretching his leg muscles.

'Oh, uh, yeah.' He said, hopping at an attempt to keep his shoddy balance. He staggered sideways into Jack, and they both went sprawling on the dusty ground. Vic laughed, coming over to me and putting his hands on my shoulders, trying to get me to stay still.

'Don't waste your energy, okay?' I nodded, picking up my microphone which a tech had retrieved from me while I was helping disassemble and then reassemble the set. I twiddled with the long cord which was attached to it, spinning it slowly in my hands. I heard Vic sigh and he came over and hugged me, pinning my arms against my sides. I turned around in his grip, my light eyes staring into his ombré orbs. He placed a kiss on my lips and after the brief moment of sweetness, I glimpsed Gabe and Justin over Vic's shoulder, mimicking our embrace and moving slowly in a square to an imaginary beat. I shook my head at them and a tech tapped me on the shoulder.

'Let's go.' I broke out into a smile and gave Vic a barely-there kiss on the lips before breaking free of his hold and shuffling into a huddle with my band.

'1... 2, 3... 4,' I counted them off. I was number five, hence I went on last. I ran out onstage and forgot the first song we were doing. I guess I was a bit rusty. I glanced at the set list which had been sticky taped to a speaker, and read the name of the first song - Do It Now. The ending had been left off, because there really wasn't any need for it to be there.

The set was finally finished and we all walked off the stage, with some longing and a whole lot of sweat dripping off our bodies.

'Showers, now.' Justin said, hurrying off after placing his guitar in its case and attempting to put it in the trailer. He was told off by a tech and he sheepishly left it on top of a spare riser.

As he caught up to the rest of us, he stuck his tongue out at Jack, who had begun to laugh at him. I smiled and looped my arm through Vic's, a single thought running through my mind.

This is definitely where I'm supposed to be.

'What's for dinner?' Gabe said, shutting the freezer door. Showered and clean clothed, we were back on the bus. At the top of our list tonight was dinner, followed by relax time and finally a chance to talk to those back home. Over the next few weeks, this would quickly change. Relaxation would become last on the list by next week, the week after talking to those back home and relaxation would blend into one and finally overtake the basic human need for sustenance the week after. I felt a tiny bit guilty about this, as I had my husband on tour with me.

I knew this wouldn't always be the case though, and there may be times in our marriage when we wouldn't see each for a year due to different touring schedules, but I treasured this piece of raw good luck while I still had it. It was a relief I had him back at all after his stubborn resolution to divorce me. Although yes, that had happened, I preferred to simply skate over it.

'I brought down fried rice. We just need to heat it up.' I answered, opening the fridge door and pulling out the huge Tupperware container. I shook it to separate the rice and held it up for Gabe to see. Justin looked over and stared at it like it was an alien life form, following his stare with, 'Is that real food?'

Jesse looked over and asked if we had soy sauce before returning to the game he was booting up on the PlayStation. I plugged in the microwave and grabbed out five bowls, spooning some of the slightly burnt food into them and heating them up on at a time. Jesse got up and rummaged through the sauce cupboard while the game was still booting up, finding the ancient bottle of sweet soy sauce. He frowned and placed it back in, Jack diving into the pantry and retrieving it after he moved on to the fridge as I instructed him to. I passed him his bowl and he poured in the sauce, grabbing forks for everyone and handing them out as he sat on the couch and ate.

Oh no, Vic told him the "fictional" story, but Kellin was already dying. He died as the words "what if I told you...' passed Vic's lips. He wasn't listening to Vic. He was thinking of Vic, thus the muttering under his breath. That was him saying Vic's name.

And Mike knew. About Josh.
