~THAT FRIDAY~

I had finally got home from a football game I had to perform in. Luckily, it was close to home. I walked into the door and put my stuff down. I went to the computer to check any emails I had. I stared with confusion at one email from the drama teacher to both me and someone else. I read it to myself multiple times and stared at the email address it came from.

I have noticed you two in drama class lately and I would love to see you two in my next play! Come by tomorrow at 2 p.m. to talk to me.

I was ecstatic. I love acting and maybe this will give me a chance to shine. I close my computer and shut off the computer room light and head to my room. I am beat.

~THE NEXT DAY~

I parked my car into the school parking lot and ran to the front doors. Holy fuck I'm so late. I over slept and didn't realize until I woke up. I told my sisters where I was going and then left. I walked inside and noticed that no one was around.

I walked around a bit, trying to find Mrs. June when all of a sudden the lights went off….

SLAM!

I spun around so fast, my head almost came off. I ran to the front and noticed the front doors were slammed shut. I ran to it, trying to open it. Looking out the window, I see the janitor walking away with earbuds blaring in his ear. He couldn't hear me scream to him.

I heard the sound shoes walking and then a quiet "oh shit" ring in my ears when none other than Tony Perry ran to the door.

"Shit." he said. He slid down the door before noticing me standing there.

"Why are you here," he growled. I rolled my eyes and started walking away so I could be away from him. I ran around the school trying to find a way out but with no luck.

I walked back to the front and looked out the window again and the janitor was long gone. We may be stuck here all night.

"So where did you go?" Tony asked with a softer tone in his voice. "What's it to ya?" I responded. I didn't want to talk to him, let alone be stuck with him all night. I sat down and closed my eyes as I started humming a song.

"The Rock Show by Blink-182," Perry said. I looked at him and nodded, smiling a little. I continued to day dream a little. I decided to get up and go to the cafeteria. Maybe there was food in there. I'm starving.

"Where you going Higgens?" he called after me. "Cafeteria," I said. He just shrugged and took out a small iPod and some earbuds and started listening to music. I continued my journey on the quest to find food.

It's better than sitting down with Tony Perry, one of Vic's little gang members.

Ugh. This was going to be a long night.
