No Idea

‘Bye baby! I’ll see you in 4 weeks. I love you!’ Dad said waving as Sarah and I began to walk down the tunnel to the plane.

‘I love you too Dad! I’ll miss you! I’ll call you when we land!’ I yelled back before I couldn’t see him anymore. I showed the ticket to the flight attendant and she showed Sarah and I to our seats. I love how Sarah’s dad was a celebrity. He was in a band. Of mice and men, who were amazing. And mum was also in a band called Tonight Alive. Except, no one knew that. So, we got to fly first class.

‘I love our parents.’ I said sitting down in my comfy seat next to the window.

‘I know. Aren’t they just kick ass?’ Sarah said smiling to me. I grabbed out the adapter for my IPod, so Sarah and I can listen to the same some at the same time. I plugged it in and played some music before I ended up falling asleep, even before the plane took off. I woke up to see that Sarah was also asleep. I looked out the window to see the land of Sydney coming closer and bigger.

‘Sarah! We are home!’ I said as I nudged her. She moaned and opened her eyes slowly.

‘No, we still have another 5 hour flight.’ She stated. I totally forgot. We have to catch another flight to Perth.

‘I see why dad said we would get here on Sunday afternoon.’ I said sighing and looking back out the window.

Another 5 hours, we were finally landed in Perth. We were making our way off the plane, slowly but eagerly. We walked through the tunnel, to our luggage then began to walk out of the airport when we heard our names being called. We both looked at each other and smile. Both turning to see Austin and mum standing behind us with Winter in Mum’s arms.

‘Mum!’ I yelled running up to her. I dropped my bag and engulfed her in a hug.

‘Dad!’ Sarah said doing the exact same thing as I did. Mum and I hugged for a while before I let go. Sarah and I switched places and we exchanged hugs with our step parents. I liked Austin, he was much like my dad, so I could pretty much call him my father. Sarah could say the same thing though. Mum was the mum she didn’t have, apart from Jackie, who was amazing to both of us.

‘Hey there missy.’ Sarah said as she poked at Winter’s stomach. She only just giggled and smiled to us. We grabbed our bags off the ground then we all made our way to the car. We had to drive for about 5 hours. Mum and Austin lived in a small country town so it was going to take a while.

While Sarah and I sat in the car, we were snapchatting Vic and Jamie, who happened to be together. It was rather funny, we’d take these really nice pictures and we’d get goofy faces back, so we’d send goofy pictures back and they’d screenshot them!

‘So how has school been guys?’ Austin asked starting up a conversation. Sarah and I looked at each other and laughed a little.

‘Ah, well, not great.’ Sarah admitted.

‘Why?’ Mum questioned.

‘Ah, well, we’ve got bullies.’ I said back to them.

‘And Zack isn’t protecting you?’ Austin said as he frowned looking in the review mirror.

‘He’s the one who is picking on us. You see, he started hanging out with the ‘cool’ gang and he started to tell Stella that she was a loser and she was a loner but it wasn’t true so I dumped him. I couldn’t just stand there to see my sister be picked on. But he tried to get us once, they physically hit Stel with rocks and Zack even punched Stella! And he got his slutty girlfriend’s onto us. Which we kicked ass by the way. But other than that, it’s like normal.’ Sarah explained.

‘Sarah also has a new man. His name is Victor.’ I said, sounding posh saying the name.

‘Why didn’t you tell us? You could have brought him with you.’ Mum said looking to her. Sarah shrugged her shoulders.

‘And Zack is one lucky fucker, if I was living in America again, well he’d not be alive. Hurting my two girls like that.’ Austin said with a sympathetic smile.

‘Austin! Don’t swear.’ Mum said slapping his arm.

‘Mum it’s okay.’ I said laughing a little.

‘No, it’s not. There is little ears next to you.’ She said indicating that Winter was sitting next to me, smiling.

‘Oh, sorry Winter.’ Austin said laughing a little.

‘So have you guys got new music planned or touring anytime soon?’ Sarah questioned.

‘The boys and I are writing a new cd. It already sounds great!’ Austin said smiling.

‘Yeah, tonight alive are taking a little break, considering I have Winter. I can’t take her on tour with me.’ Mum said. We nodded our head and smiled.

‘Can we hear the new album?’ I asked.

‘Maybe.’ Austin replied. I nodded my head and Sarah and I got back to snap chatting those idiots.

Finally, we arrived home. Sarah and I shared a room here, but we didn’t mind. I was that fucking big anyway. I saw Betty the cow standing at the fence and Marvous the horse in the other paddock. There was butcher, Coles and wollies, who were our beloved sheep. Sarah and I loved it here, it was so different.

‘Ah, it’s so hot!’ I complained as I hopped out the car.

‘It’s only 26 degrees.’ Mum said as she laughed.

‘That’s a big difference.’ I said at her. She nodded her head as she picked Winter up.

‘Stella! Let’s go surprise Dean and Sam!’ Sarah said as we walked inside.

‘Let’s put this shit away first.’ I said carrying my luggage to our room. And by put away, I meant dump in the room and leave it that way till I leave.

‘Stella!’ Mum yelled. Sarah laughed as I just shrugged my shoulders. I yelled a sorry before I entered the postured room. I loved the fact that mum and Austin were in bands, we got to meet so many people/bands. Mum said when I was old enough, she’d let me tour with her but now that she’s a mum, I don’t know when that’ll be.

‘Let’s go see those dorks.’ I said as I pushed Sarah out the room. We made our way to the door when I felt my phone buzz. I looked at the caller id and smiled.

‘Dad, hey.’ I said as I answered.

‘Hey sweetheart, I was just worried, you landed safely?’ He questioned over the phone.

‘Yeah, I’m here, safe and sound. I miss you though.’ I said as I pouted.

‘Oh sweetheart, I miss you too. I have your Christmas present here when you get home. But I have some exciting news. I’m going to England for Christmas, and I’m meeting a special person.’ Dad said excitedly.

‘Oh my god, you’re going to meet Hannah aren’t you!’ I said as I walked across the paddock, Sarah smiling as she heard what I said.

‘Yes. And I’m hoping she’ll move back here with me.’ Dad said. I couldn’t help but not smile, Hannah was such a lovely person and it’ll be the best to have a step mum.

‘That’s awesome, but I’ve gotta go now dad. I love you and miss you. Call me when you finally met Miss Hannah.’ I said.

‘I love you too sweetie. Miss you too. Bye.’ And with that, I hung up. As I did, Sarah knocked onto Bobby’s door. Bobby was Dean and Sam’s uncle. Well that’s what we’ve been told, he’s more like a father.

‘Oh, I wasn’t expecting to see you two this year.’ Bobby said with a heart-felt smile.

‘Whatever old man.’ I said as I laughed. He stepped aside and let us in. Once we entered his house, we exchanged a hug. Sarah and Bobby doing the same after.

‘Boys! You have company.’ Bobby yelled up the stairs. We heard something tip over and a swear come from Dean’s mouth. The next moment, both boys were flying down the stairs.

‘Sarah! Stella!’ Sam said as he hugged us both.

‘You need to stop growing!’ Sarah said as she hugged the tall boy back.

‘And cut your god damn hair!’ I said pulling at the hair which sat on his shoulders.

‘See, I told you Sammy.’ Dean said as he walked over to Sarah and hugging her. After his hug with her, he hugged me.

‘So let’s go catch up.’ I said pulling Dean out the door with my arm.
