*Back to the present*

‘Are you telling me that Jaime and I broke up because I said that?’ I asked Sarah.

‘Well, it wasn’t all your fault Stella, I was half to blame for that also. I mean, we may have only dated for a couple months to start off with, we became good friends again.’ Jaime said when he walked through the door with a coffee for four of us. Ruby nowhere in sight.

‘But what I said that, and that is actually so bad of me. I am so sorry. And where is Ruby?’ I said, looking at him.

‘She’s with Jackie at the moment.’ Jaime replied. ‘And…’ he went to continue but was interrupted again.

‘It’s totally okay. He forgives you in the end. Misses you and wants to make it up again, but can’t.’ Vic said as he walked over to Sarah and kissed her head.

‘Why can’t he?’ I ask sitting up on the bed. As Jaime was about to reply for the second time, Tony walked through the door.

‘Look who I brought!’ Tony said as someone followed him in. I looked to him and smiled.

‘I assume you must be Brendon?’ I asked when he walked up to me.

‘Yes, yes I am. How are you feeling? Sorry I couldn’t be here yesterday.’ Brendon said.

‘It’s fine. I am good. I am just learning about the break up between Jaime and I. And how I helped Jack… which reminds me, what’s he up to these days?’ I asked and everyone looked to each other and I frowned…

‘What?’ I asked, worried about the answer.

‘Well, he really isn’t a part of our lives anymore. After you went on tour, you two stopped talking. He started a band with Zack, Rian and Alex called All Time Low. They are doing very well.’ Sarah said.

‘Oh, okay. I thought you were going to tell me something bad or something…’ I said, laughing it off.

‘What we are probably going to tell you now though, is bad… I will ease you into it. Okay.’ Jaime mentioned. I looked at him and nodded my head.

*Back to Past*

Four weeks went by like that, I was packing for two years, with only a little suitcase. I was leaving tomorrow and have pretty much only packed five pairs of skinny jeans, ten pairs of shirts and other things which I needed because that’s all the room I had. I was ready for an adventure with my family. And I was a little more excited to see Nathan. I was packing in my toothbrush when I heard my phone ring.

‘Hello?’ I answered it, not looking at the ID.

‘Hey Stella.’ I heard the voice say. I pulled the phone back to see that Jaime had called me.

‘Hi Jaime, how are you?’ I said as I put my toothbrush in my bag.

‘I am good, how have you been?’ He asked.

‘I have been good. I was wondering if it was still okay if I used that ticket you got me for Christmas.’ He asked.

‘Of course you can, silly. Why would you think differently?’ I asked.

‘Just because we aren’t dating and you know.’ He said.

‘Well, look, just because we aren’t dating, I am not going to stop you from using it. It’ll be a good concert, the bands are good.’ I said, biting onto my lip.

‘Well, you do have a point. The bands will be good. And it will be a good concert.’ He said.

‘And you forgot one more important thing.’ I said as I smiled into the phone.

‘What’s that?’ Jaime questioned.

‘I will be there.’ I said, and I heard him laugh.

‘I know, more the reason as to why I wanted to go. Because, if I am honest, I miss you. I have been wanting to talk to you for a very long time. But then I saw you helping all those people and that just made me a little bit sad. Then I realised that I should apologize for how we ended. I was being selfish. I am so sorry.’ He said.

‘You shouldn’t be the one that’s sorry. I said what I said and that was so bad of me to say. I am actually so sorry about that Jaime. I miss you too and I wish we didn’t break up how we did.’ I replied.

‘Well, I better get going. I have homework to do.’ Jaime said.

‘Alright, bye Jaime. I’ll message you soon?’ I asked.

‘Please do. And I’ll see you at school tomorrow.’ Jaime said.

‘I won’t be at school tomorrow. Mum and Austin arrive tomorrow and we are getting ready to start tour.’ I said.

‘Oh well, I’ll message you later tonight then.’ He said.

‘Alright. Bye Jaime.’ I said. I hung up the phone and dropped it on the couch. I sighed and lied back into the couch before I heard Dad call me into the kitchen.

I got up and walked to the kitchen to see Dad and Hannah in there with coffee in hand. I sat down on the bench and gave then a concerned look.

‘Alright, you leave tomorrow and I wanted to… well, we to tell you that Hannah and I are expecting a baby. We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet but we will tell you when and everything.’ Dad explained.

I smiled and jumped off the counter and congratulated them on it but I couldn’t help but start to feel replaced. It’s been my dad and I for a very long time, then he met Hannah and she was a nice change but I leave tomorrow and when I get back, there will a little man or lady running around. Not to mention they’ll be at least 1 and a half. It’s different with Mum and Austin because I hardly see Mum so it really wasn’t a surprise that she had a new life when she married him.

After talking with Hannah and Dad for an hour or so, I headed to bed, I was going to have a very early day tomorrow and it was the beginning of tour, which I wanted to well-rested for.
