Hold On Till May
~Siren's POV~
I woke up the next morning with a horrible headache. I gripped my forehead and groaned, sitting up slowly. "Fuck my life." I grumbled to myself, pulling my covers off my body and shakily standing up. I let my legs carry me down the stairs and into the kitchen. I flicked on the kettle and began to prepare a cup of strong coffee. I downed some pain killers and hopped up onto the counter, swinging my legs a little. Need to listen to music, I thought to myself as I jumped down and walked over to the CD rack. I picked out City Of Evil by Avenged Sevenfold.
I bounced around to Beast And The Harlot, feeling myself getting lost in the music. They always helped me let go of everything for a while, just like Pierce The Veil. I don't know where I'd be without those two bands. Six feet under the ground, probably.
I poured my coffee and sat at the breakfast bar, singing along to Burn It Down quietly. The music stopped suddenly and I looked up in surprise. I giggled as an incredibly tired-looking Tony stood by the CD player. "And now you have to get used to it all over again." I smiled innocently, gesturing to my morning ritual. "Why did I even agree to move in with you?" He groaned, throwing his hands into the air.
"You agreed to move in with me because your girlfriend of four years cheated on you and you had no where else to go." I reminded him "And that was before Pierce The Veil even existed." I noted. Tony rolled his eyes and turned the music back up slightly. "Why do I even bother arguing with you?"
I laughed lightly as Tony poured himself some coffee. "You still bother arguing with me, because you still think you can win." I told him, a proud look on my face. He shot me a glare, making me giggle.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked Tony as I walked into the living room, dressed in my favourite Pierce The Veil crewneck and a pair of black shorts. "Well I'm planning to meet up with Vic, Mike and Jaime for a bit. So you can come with me if you want." He suggested as he sat on the couch, his eyes fixed on the T.V. "Sounds fun enough, I'll go." I smiled to myself as I ran back up the stairs and into my room. I picked up my hair brush and walked over to the mirror. "This hair is getting boring." I mumbled to myself as I ran the brush through my hip-length, bleach blonde hair.
"Maybe I should give it a bit of colour?" I mumbled to no one in particular. "Eh, I'll go into town later." I shrugged, placng the brush back on the dresser. I looked myself over in the mirror and sighed. Why am I so fat? I pulled my sleeves down to hide the scars and plastered a fake smile on my face. There, smile. I felt proud of myself, being able to fake a smile whenever I wanted to. It was a thing that I mastered over the years.
"Siren! Tiime to go!" Tony called from the bottom of the wooden stairs. "Hang on a sec!" I called back, grabbing my phone and stuffing it into my pocket. I skipped down the stairs. Being me, I tripped on the last stair, but luckily, Tony caught me just in time. "Siren, you've gotta be careful!" He scolded, helping me up. "Sorry." I smiled and shrugged it off.
We drove for about ten minutes before we reached PTV H.Q, or Vic's place, as everyone else liked to call it. I stepped out of the car and ran up to the door, not even bothering to knock. I knew this place like the back of my hand. I walked down into the basement, where the guys always hung out, and funny enough, they were there. "Hey guys!" I grinned as I walked up to hug them all. "So you finally decided to go outside!" Vic cheered, throwing his hands into the air. "It's a miracle!" Mike added, copying Vic's actions. "Welcome back." Jaime smiled. "It's nice to be back." I admitted.
We talked for a while. About the tour, and other random things. Before I knew it, it was already time to leave. "It was nice hanging out with you guys for a change." I stated, standing on the front step of Vic's house. "Yeah, it was. You could come over more often." Vic smiled. I nodded eagerly, a big smile on my face. "Yeah! That's a good idea! I'll see you guys soon!" I waved them goodbye and walked back down the driveway where Tony was leant against his car.
I threw my head back onto the seat as we left the driveway, sighing deeply. "I knew you were faking that. 'I'll see you guys soon!'" He mimicked my accent. "Shut up." I groaned, covering my face in my hands. "Can we go into town for a second? I need hair dye." I pleaded, attempting to change the subject.
"We can, but you're not getting out of it that easily." Tony told me, making me sigh in frustration. "Dammit Siren! Wouldn't it hurt to smile properly for once?"
"I can't even smile properly anymore!" I retaliated, slightly raising my voice. "Siren, calm down. Being angry will not get you anywhere." He sighed, giving me a quick glance before his eyes returned to the road ahead. "I'm sorry." I mumbled, looking down at my hands. "Don't apologize. Lets go get that hair dye, okay?" He suggested, placing his hand on mine, interwining our fingers. "Okay." I breathed out, blushing from the contact.
