*Jaime's POV*

Max and I were sitting chilling on the couch when my phone started to ring, Max looked pretty tired so I took it through to the kitchen, "Hello?" I answered "Hey Jaime, it's Mike" the voice on the other end of the phone said,

"Hey Mike, what's up?"
"Nothing just we're all going over to Jason's house to do that thing you asked us to do, you coming?" He said, I told the guys about what happened earlier when Max was in the bath, we were all going to go over to Jason's house to teach him a lesson.
"Yeah okay, well actually I can't she's on the couch" I said
"Jaime I thought you wanted us to do it?"
"Yeah"
"So can't you just come anyway?"
"No?" I said
"Okay well if we get caught I'm dragging you down with us"
"I know"
"So you still want us to do it?"
"Yes"
"Alright we'll see you tomorrow?"
"Okay thank you so much, this means a lot"

And with that he hung up, I sighed rubbing my hands over my face, I honestly thought Max would have been sleeping by now, it's 10:12pm, she's normally fighting to stay awake by now. I walked back through and sat on the couch throwing my arm around the back of it and crossing my leg, I started to get some weird vibes off Max and I couldn't understand why, "Is everything okay?" I asked, confused as to why she was being like this, "Hmmm" she said, not looking at me once, "Are you sure?" I asked again, uncrossing my legs and leaning forward to look at me "Yes." She said bluntly still staring at the television watching some woman trying to tier a cake, "Max.." I started but I was cut off before I could finish asking what was wrong , "I'm going to bed" she said as she stood up and started hobbling past me without making eye contact and going straight up stairs, I have no idea what I've done but it has to have been something? I sat there thinking for a minute trying to go through what just happened in my head, I decided to ask Max myself, I made my way up to our bedroom and knocked on the door, "Max?" I asked, Can I come in?" I asked again, I got no reply, I stood there for a couple of seconds before speaking again, "I justhttp://www.piercetheveilfanfiction.com/My/Stories/NewChapter/78053/ want to know what I've done so I can sort it" I said, sighing as I still didn't get an answer, "Please?" I tried again but to no avail. I turned the handle on the door and walked in, there was no sign of her, the bedroom window was open but not enough for her to get out so she must still be in the house, I tried her parents and grandmas room as she sometimes goes there for comfort, but she wasn't. I ran to the toilet and tried the door, it was locked, "Max are you in there?" I asked, then I heard sobbing, "Go away!" She shouted, her voice cracking, "Come on open the door, I just want to know what I've done?" I asked, resting my head against the door, "Leave me alone" She said but it sounded muffled, "Okay, I'm coming in" I said getting a quick response, "No! Don't come in!" She said hurriedly, I started to panic thinking about everything she could be doing in there right now, I lifted my foot and kicked the door, it didn't open, I tried a second time and I could feel it starting to crack, third time and it caved in.

I saw Max curled in a ball in the corner, I could see her shaking and crying, I hated seeing the girl I loved like this, I walked over to her, kneeling down and putting an arm around her, "What happened?" I asked, calmly, "I-I heard you ta-talkking on the ph-phone to someone and I-I thought you might be che-cheating on me, I panicked" She stuttered, I cursed myself, I should've just took it in front of her, "No baby, no. I'd never cheat on you, I love you!" I said rubbing her back, she turned around and looked at me with sad eyes, "Who were you speaking to then?" She asked, confused, "Mike, here even check my phone if you don't believe me, I turned my phone around and showed her that Mike phoned today at 10:07pm, she laughed at herself, "I'm sorry" She said as she bowed her head, "It's alright, did you?" I asked hoping she never harmed herself, "No" she said shaking her head, "Good" I said kissing her nose and helping her up, she was only wearing a long sleeved jumper but she looked so gorgeous, we were lying in our old bed with Winter on our phones as I never got around to building the new one, "Oh, your doctors appointment is tomorrow at 11am and then we're going over to Victor and Vivian's for our lunch tomorrow afternoon, is that okay?" I asked and she just nodded, "Goodnight, Jaime" she said before rolling over and cuddling into me, "Goodnight, Gorgeous" I said, kissing her head and going to sleep too.
