Counting The Stars and Scars

*Tony's POV*

I woke up to a loud banging at the door, "TOOONYY!! OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!! TONY!!" I heard someone shout, it was Max!! I jumped up and started looking around for a shirt, i couldn't see one and I didn't have enough time because there was another bang, I ran downstairs and opened the door and Max lunged herself at me falling over and landing in the hall, holding her ankle, "Max?" I said confused as to why she was at my house shouting at 8:06am, "SHUT THE FUCKING DOOR AND LOCK IT!!" She shouted wincing, I looked at her with wide eyes but done as I was told. She sighed and then broke down, I'm so fucking confused. I picked her up carefully and carried her over to the couch as she sobbed, I held her close, still confused and topless, "It's alright, you're safe!" I cooed as she cried into my bare chest her tears were warm. After about 10 minutes of me trying to calm her down, she did. Max finally broke the silence after about 2 minutes "Tony why are you topless?" She asked tilting her head a little as I put a thumb to her cheek to dry her tears, I was surprised when she didn't pull away, "Well Ms Crooks" I started "Since it is 8:13am I was still sleeping but was woke when you came to the door and I didn't have enough time to put a shirt on" I said laughing a little, Max started giggled, "Sorry" she blushed I looked at her and shook my head, "Don't be sorry, I just want to know what happened?" I said pulling my legs up on the couch and folding them, "Well I was sick this morning and I wanted to go a jog to lose some of the fat that I'm gaining. I was half way through the park when I got something thrown at me, I turned around and no one was there, I thought it was odd so started jogging faster than before as I felt like I was being followed, I got around a corner and a car came driving straight towards me I jumped out of the way and noticed Jason was getting out, here was the first place I saw so I tried to hobble but he was gaining and then we end up to where we are now" She said like it was nothing, I don't know why but I felt anger build up inside of me as I started to tense and heat up.


Max must have noticed I was getting angry as she placed her cold hand on my burning chest, "Tony calm down, I'm fine, I mean I might have a sprained ankle but I'm good" She said as she kept her hand on my chest, I couldn't calm down this fucking prick is still running loose and almost fucking killed her and she's telling me to calm down!! We made eye contact and all I could do was stare into her big, sad, beautiful eyes, I know I shouldn't say this because she is my best friends Fiancee but she is fucking gorgeous, I noticed before but I just passed it off as a stupid, meaningless crush. I have to admit, when her and Jaime started going out I was so jealous, I may not have acted it because I was really, really shy back then but I was, I loved Max and I can feel that strong feeling coming back, unfortunately. I know that she'd never go for a guy like me plus she is getting married so what the hell am I thinking? Without second thought I started leaning forward and our lips crashed only we she didn't kiss back, her lips were sweet and soft, within seconds I felt a second hand on my chest and a force pushing me back, I let it as I pulled away and staring at her, "I'm so sorry, I don't even know what I.." I trailed off, she gave me a sympathetic smile, "It's fine, lets never talk about this again to anyone though okay because" she said as she looked down at her finger, I sighed, "Yeah, okay" I agreed, "Well I should probably get going because Jaime will be wondering where I am" she said breaking the awkward silence as she tried to stand up but falling, I heard she was in pain, "Here let me take you back okay?" I said as I ran upstairs and rummaged through my drawer for a shirt, I found a plain black one and pulled it on as well as my shoes and grabbing my keys, I took her out to the car and strapping her in, I jumped in my side and raced off towards her and Jaime's pad, "Hey Tony?" Max said as she put her hand on my hand resting on the gear stick, "Yeah?" I said, focusing on the road, "Can we not mention any of this to Jaime, I don't want him to panic and get angry, you know?" She asked, I could see where she was coming from Jaime can sometimes get very overprotective, "Yeah sure" I said, smiling at her, she thanked me as we pulled up and Jaime came to the door, "Oh my god Max, what the fuck happened?" He said as he saw Max's ankle, "I fell over a tree root while I was jogging and sprained my ankle I managed to hobble around to Tony's, thankfully he was in" She rushed looking at me, "Yeah man, she should be alright but I'd get that checked out you know and Max seriously obviously I was going to be in it's bloody 8:45am!" I said laughing and scratching the back of my neck, "Thanks bro, do you wanna come in for a bit?" Jaime said as he was helping Max into the house, "No thanks mate, I have to go see my mum in a bit and I still need to shower so.." I said trailing off before hopping back in my car, "Hey Tone?" I heard Max shout from the door, I stuck my head out of the window, "Thank you" She said blowing me a kiss and going back inside. As I pulled out of their drive I realised that this was more than a stupid crush!
