Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

"Okay what angle looked better?" I said twisting and turning my hand in different positions as Jaime was holding it, "Babe it looks fine either way, now can I take the picture already, my hand hurts" he said pouting a little, I laughed a little and nodded, I got him to send the picture to me for my own Insta, he captioned it, "Guys guess who said yes? #MrsPreciado #BestChristmasEver! @TheRealMaxC" where as I captioned mine, "Guys who gonna be Mrs Preciado? @PTVJaime #ILYSM #BestChristmasEver! #MrsPreciado" we locked our phones, letting the likes and comments roll in. Soon after my phone started ringing it was Alysha, I answered it and all I heard was screaming "AAAAAHHHHH YOUR ENGAGED!!! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! WE NEED TO GO OUT AND HAVE A DRINK TO CELEBRATE! YES OMG, TOMORROW NIGHT, BE READY FOR 7PM I'LL PICK YOU UP AND THEN WE CAN GO!!" Suddenly I heard the end call tone and I was so confused trying to take that all in, I picked up my phone, I was going to text Alysha and tell her I couldn't go but Jaime grabbed my phone, "Don't! Even think about it!" He said standing up and holding my phone in the air, "But Jaime I don't want to get drunk!" I said, whining, "She didn't ask you to get drunk just to drink, come on you never go out and you deserve it" he said pleading me to go, I sighed "Fine!" I said giving in and throwing myself on our bed. I love the fact that it's OUR bed now. Jaime jumped on my back and started massaging it, "Jaime?" I asked, "Yes, princess?" He asked as he continued to massage my shoulders, "Can we re-decorate, you know make it more us?" I asked, rolling over so he was straddling me now, he raised his eyebrows, "Are you sure?" He asked, I nodded, "We can do the living room, my room, the kitchen and the bathroom, but we can decorate the living room and bathroom and my bedroom ourselves, my uncle knows these guys who can do our kitchen for cheap and they are really good" I said, he smiled, "Yeah okay, I'd like that, we can go shopping for beds and furniture tomorrow before you go" he said, I nodded as I started to fall asleep, today has been a long day, but the best nevertheless.

My alarm clock went off at 7am, I rolled over Jaime and hit it off, I heard Winter scratch at the door, I'm coming I whispered as I put pants on and went to the kitchen to feed her, I decided to go for my shower now so that I wouldn't have to go with Jaime, my cuts still haven't fully healed over, I've been scratching them, I pulled up my sleeve looking at them, I started getting chills thinking about them, I rolled my sleeve, I stood up and washed my hands. Just as I went to walk out I saw a crying Jaime standing in the door frame, staring at me, I couldn't believe he'd been there the whole time, I didn't know what to say, all I could do was stare into his big, sad brown eyes, "Max?" He said sounding disappointed, I looked at him, crying, "Max" he said grabbing my arm as I tried to rush past him, still I couldn't speak, I broke down and he cradled me in his arms, going to the couch, "What happened? You were going so well?" He whispered into my ear and he rocked me, "I-I th-thought you were g-going to leave me, when we argued" I choked out, drying my tears and looking at him, "Baby, I'd never leave you I promise. Now do you wanna go for a shower?" He said rubbing my back, I nodded as we made our way upstairs Jaime turned to me, "Is that why you've been avoiding having a shower with me?" He asked I nodded sheepishly and we kept walking.

After our shower we got ready and made our way to Starbucks, I got a pumpkin spice drink and Jaime got a tea, we parked the car and walked to the bed furniture shop to give us enough time to finish out drinks, "Do we want a double, King or Queen" he asked me, I thought for a second, "Queen because you're a bed hogger" I said laughing as he wrapped his arm around my neck, there was this creepy looking guy that approached us I started cuddling into Jaime as he got closer, "Hi, how can I help you today?" He asked smiling at me, I smiled politely back at him, "Umm can we get this queen sized bed please?" Jaime said pointing to the closest and prettiest Queen bed, the guy nodded, and smirked at us, "What a cute couple you two make! If you please sign here and we will have your bed delivered within two to three days" he said winking and handing Jaime a clipboard, he filled it out and handed him it back, we walked over towards a massive wardrobe, "Can we also get this please?" Jaime shouted after the guy, he came running back over and asked us to sign another form, well that's the furniture for the bedroom now we just need the carpet, paint and other furniture, this is gonna cost a lot of money!
