Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

I was busy getting ready when Jaime walked in, I was only in my underwear, I didn't mind though, "Hey babe?" He said leaning against the door frame staring at me pottering about, "Yeah?" I said stopping and turning around to face him, "I'm going over to mine to get some swimming shorts and a beach towel and things, okay?" he said, I nodded turning my back to him as I picked out my outfit, he came up behind me and wrapped my arms around me, resting his chin on my shoulder, I was frowning and tilting my head at the clothes that lay on my bed, "You'll look amazing in anything" he said, reassuring me, I turned around and kissed him, "Thank you" I said, as we stared into each others eyes, I broke the gaze to glance at the clock, "Now go! We only have an hour and a half until we need to be at the beach!2 I said turning him around by the shoulders and pushing him out of the door, closing it to get changed. As I was putting my hair in a bun, I made the decision to not wear any make up as I was going to be going into the sea and I didn't want make up running down my face, I laughed at myself as I finished putting my hair up in a bun and took a final look in the mirror, I whipped my phone out of my back pocket of my shorts and took at picture and put it on Insta captioning it "Off to the beach with the boys, @PTVJaime, PTVMike, @PierceTheVic and @TonyPerry", locking my phone I made my way down stairs to grab some water, beers and chips. My bum started to vibrate, so I pulled my phone out of my pocket, Jaime was calling me, "Hey" I answered as I was putting the beers in my backpack, "Hey I'm just pulling up outside now" he said, I replied with a simple ok and started making my way outside, and sure enough he was outside, I jumped in and we started to make our way to the beach.

As we were pulling up I saw Vic, Tony and Mike leaning against their car, Mike smoking, obviously. As soon as we parked I jumped out and ran over to my best friend, "MIKEEEYYYYY!!" I shouted running over, "MAAAXXYYYYY!!" He shouted back holding his hands out to catch me, I jumped and he caught me, spinning me around, "Stop!! I'm going to be sick!" I screamed, laughing, he quickly stopped and set me down stepping back and holding his hands up, I laughed at his stupidity and lightly punched his stomach, he bent over pretending to be injured. I hugged Tony next aqnd then Vic, "We're still going to have that talk, don't think I've forgot about it" he whispered as we hugged kissing in front of my ear, I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me back into protective arms, Jaime... Obviously. As everyone ran down to the beach Jaime and I walked across finding a nice isolated spot to place our bags and towels, as I set my bag down I heard the clinking of the beer bottles, Jaime's head shot up, "Did you bring beer?" he asked, wide eyed, I slowly nodded not knowing what his reaction was going to be, he jumped on me, straddling me on my towel, "This is why I love you" he said, leaning down to kiss me, as our lips touched and almost locked but MIKE came and jumped on Jaime, I burst out laughing as Jaime pouted that we never managed to kiss, I decided that I wanted to go in the water so I started taking my clothes off, to strip down to my bikini, as did Jaime to strip down to his swimming shorts, I stood up earning cheeky glances from other people on the beach, I started feeling self concious, "Wow! You look amazing" Jaime said, I turned around and grabbed his hand dragging him out into the water with the others, it was cold at first but we got used to it.

We mucked around in the water for a while as soon enough the sun was setting, I got Tony to take a picture of Jaime and I kissing in front of the sunset in the water, he showed me after and I approved it for him to post on my Insta, I mean I looked massive but it was cute, "Himes, I'm cold so I'm going to go wrap up in a towel, you can stay here though, I'll be fine" I said, he nodded giving me a peck before I went to sit on the beach I was scrolling through my feeds when I saw someone approach me, I looked up and saw Vic, I started to get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, "Time for that talk?" he asked, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later so might as well get it over and done with, I patted a towel next to me and he took a seat, "So, what do you wanna talk about?" I asked, he sighed, "Well lets start with those, why?" he said, pointing at my recent self harm scars, "Well.." I started and continuing on to the night that Megan and Jason's friends came around and threw things at my door and threw water over me, "Oh my god Max... Why didn't you call and speak to us?" he asked, gob smacked, "Well you guys were having fun and I didn't want to ruin it?" I said, tears buliding up, "You shouldn't have to go through that alone, we will always have time for oyu" he sadi, smiling I looked down at the water and saw Mike, Tonyand my boyfriend playing about, I tunred to Vic and nodded, "Thank you" I replied, and then we went to go on to speak about my parents death.

After an hour or two of talking and explaining in more detail what I already explained to Vic when I was drunk about my parents death, we were all ready to go home, I was so tired so Jaime carried me to the car, laying me in the back and running around the front to drive me home, "Jaime?" I asked half drunk as I drank about 7 beer and some of Mike's whiskey, "Yes, Princess?" he replied, "Are you going to school tomorrow?" I asked, "Yes, why?" he answered cautiously, "Can you pick me up at 8am please?" I asked sweetly, he laughed "That was my plan anyway" I laughed at how silly I was. When we got to mine Jaime tucked me in and kissed me goodnight and leaving again, he only left 5 minutes ago but I miss him already.
