Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaime's POV*

We reached the restaraunt and took our seats, it was a nice classic decor, we got a seat right at the window looking out onto the water, and under chandlier at the back of the room as I know that Max doesn't like eating in front of people, I looked at her as she was in awe at how beautiful this place was, as we were being escorted to our table I grabbed a hold of her hand, hoping she wouldn't pull away but she did the complete opposite she squeezed my hand and relaxed, "Here you go sir" the waitress said smiling at me, and giving us both a menu, leaving us to think about what we were going to order. After a small conversation about what we were going to order the waitress came back, "What can I get you?" she asked, "I'll just have a medium salad and large water and ice" Max said, "And I will have the small steak with a large glass of Cola please" she wrote on her notebook and nodded as she left.

Our food came about 20-30 minutes our food came, we were having a good night so far, laughing and flirting and just all round having fun. As we were leaving, Max was standing behind me still holding my hand as I paid the waitress, "And if it doesn't work out, give me a call" she said winking and handing me piece of paper before she walked away, I turned around laughing, I looked at Max giving me and the waitress a glare, when we were walking out I wrapped my arm around Max and she just looked at me, "Are you going to throw that away?" she asked, I held in my laugh, I held out her hand and placed the piece of paper in her hadn, she looked at me confused, "No, you are" I smiled as we kept walking and she put it in the trash can near the car, I saw her smirking and she squeezed my hand before we broke off to go to different sides of the car.

As we were driving to our second location I caught Max taking a picture of me out the corner of my eye, "I'm gonna caption this 'First Date with this guy'" she said, my jaw dropped, "What?" I asked she looked at me funny, "You've never been on a date before?" I asked, shocked, "No, why does that surprise you?" she asked timidly, "Well first of all you're fucking gorgeous, you have the best personality and you're just all round the best girl ever!" I said, she blushed, "Thank you" she said shyly, finally we arrived at our second destination, "IT'S THE AQUARIUM!!" Max screamed running outside and into the reception, I just started laughing as I watched how excited she got, I payed us in and we took a slow stroll around holding hadns as Max got excited at nearly everything we saw, by the time we were finished it was 7:30pm and still light outside so we were in the car on our way to our third destination, we drove right past the turn in to Max's street and she got really confused it was cute, "Jaime? Do you know that you just passed...." she trailed of, "Yes, I may have lied there is a third destination" I said smiling, she was a little startled when I told her to put the blindfold on, but she did. As I helped her out the car and started to lead her down she finally spoke up, "Jaime, are we on grass? Why are we on grass?" she asked I just smiled as I stopped her and untied her blindfold, she dropped to her knees when she saw that we were at her parents and grandmas grave, I put my hand on her shoulder before sitting next to her, "But how did you know they wee here?" she asked tears in her eyes, "They were in a picture on your phones camera roll" I said smiling, "I came here and spoke to them earlier, thanking them for you because you are the best person I've ever met" I said, welling up, "Awww Himes!" she said lunging towards me hugging me and kissing my cheek.

We sat there for a while just talking and laughing the car ride back was silent, but it was comfortable silence, I rested my hand on the gear stick and Max rested her hand on top giving me a longing look, spinning herself around so she could stare at me, I din't mind except when she pulled her hadn away to spin around because my hands were cold and hers were naturally warm.
