Dammit, my stupid alarm clock woke me up geez what a drag.
I just moved into a new foster home with like five other kids, all of them younger than me, and Ms.Apple (my foster mother) is always with them and never notices me.....well I mean as much as you can notice a mute girl. But lucky me I get my own room.

I'm mute, which means I don't really speak, at all. I haven't spoken since I was five, I just couldn't after my parents died in a plane crash, which is kinda how I ended up in foster care haha.

I guess I should get ready for school, well I'll just throw on a long sleeved Blink-182 shirt with ripped black skinny jeans and my converse, I should shower but I'm way to tired right now. I was thankful that my pitch black hair is naturally straight and so easy to deal with, plus it made it easier to keep my typical emo looking haircut looking great.

I got dressed, headed out the door and waved bye to Ms.Apple, I started my way to school which is like two blocks away....this is going to suck ass, I hate school.

School isn't as bad as I thought. I grabbed my schedule, easily found my locker, and went to my first class.

I walked into class shyly with my head down, and obviously sat in the back.

"Hello class we're now two weeks into your senior year and it appears we have a new student Milla, will you please stand up and tell the class you name and something about yourself.'' My science teacher Mr.brown said cheerfully.

Well here goes nothing.... I awkwardly stood up and in sign language said 'Hello my name is Milla, and I'm mute.' then quickly sat back down.

Well the cats outta the bag and I got the weird stares I knew I would, fan-fucking-tastic.

The teacher looked through some papers then stood up and said ''It appears our new student, Milla, is mute but I expect you to treat her like every other student.''

Great, people were staring and whispering, I wonder how this day could get any better.

My next three classes went by pretty fast. next math, then history, then English, then lunch time, Perfect!

I took this time to explore! I kept hearing buzz and seeing posters about some Pierce the veil band thing? Eh who cares, I'll just see what the music room has to offer since it's my next class and I'm not really hungry.

I found the music room hoping for some extra practice, but some people were already in there playing, they looked like some band and girls were practically drooling over them. Maybe they're that Pierce the veil group?

The door slammed behind me....shit. They all stopped and stared at me, fuck Milla, you're turning into a freaking tomato.

I quickly grabbed a guitar and went into the nearest empty room 'whew' glad that's over. I just strummed until the bell rang since ya know I don't sing.

I walked out of the small practice room and back to main room as the music teacher took attendance and didn't seem to care much about us or what we did so I just kept strumming.

I was perfectly content until I caught someones eye... Tony, I think it was? he's in every class I've had so far and with being mute, I'm observant. He instantly looked away and blushed, okay that was weird?

I went to my art class then walked straight home and went to my room then listened to music till I passed out. I like the no friends thing but I want this time to be different, maybe Tony will be my friend? I don't know.

I slowly drifted into a deep slumber listening to Of Mice&Men thinking about school...
