A Flair for the Dramatics

Let's start from the beginning.

My name is Ashley Perry, I'm 18 years old and a senior at Clairemont High. I'm the younger sister of Tony Perry, just by a year and a half, I'm his half-sister. He and his friends, Jaime and Mike, are the same age. They even have this awesome band, it's just a starter garage band, I sing for them when Mikes brother is too busy.

I’m just an average person, I have wavy black and blue hair, I have gauges and a couple tattoos. I'm one of those girls that got picked on in school, Mostly by Amber Lopez, the "queen bee" of school followed by her skank minions. Amber happened to be Jaime's girlfriend, but that doesn't stop her. I know, "but you’re the sibling of the hottest guy in school." It's not all sunshine and peaches for me, I'm treated like the "outcast" by Amber, she doesn't always do the beatings, it's her minions that do it, she doesn't want to risk getting caught by Jaime, but today, today was a different day.

Tony: are you riding with us after school?
Me: yea sure got nothing else to do
Tony: okay see you in a bit
me: Kay see ya turtle.

After replying I shoved my phone back into my pocket and closed by locker, before I turned around I felt a disturbance in the force, I turned around to see Amber and a couple of her minions.

"Hey loser" She said smirking
"May I help you?" I replied rolling my eyes wishing tony would hurry up.
"Maybe, can you do us a favor?" She said smiling.
"Sorry all out of favors" I said checking my pockets "Come back when I do."
I started walking away when, at full force felt someone grab the back of my hoodie and slammed me against the lockers. "Now what do you want?" My anger was getting the best of me at this point. "You know damn well what happens when you turn us down Ashley." Amber spat. "Teach that bitch a lesson Amber." One of her minions was saying.
"Pft, what are you going to do? Bore me to death?" I regretted saying that as I felt air getting knocked out of my lungs, as I fell to the floor to try and catch it again I got up holding my stomach I breathed out "wow! Is that all you got?" One of the girls grabbed me and threw me against another pair of lockers.
"Jeeze, what kind a pathetic girl are you? You know you can do better." That voice in my head was back, as soon as my anger got worst, I smiled and pushed the girl out of my way, Amber slapped me across my face, I came back slapping twice as hard. "Now you've done it!" She punched and threw me against the lockers, as I sat there trying to catch my breath I heard a voice.
"Ashley?" I looked up to see Tony and Jaime pushing their way to where I was. Tony helped me up asking if I'm okay I just nodded then that's when I seen Jaime looking so pissed. "Wow, really Amber?" "That bitch deserved it babe!" “Ashley is like my sister, hell that's Tony's sister how can you do that to my family?" He spat at her " Well I um-" getting cut off by Jaime " You know what after seeing what I saw today we are done Amber, I'm tired of seeing my sister hurt by you and your friends." "She's nobody, why do you have to defend her!?!?" She screamed at him as we walked away.

As soon as we got outside to the car, I broke the silence. "She's right you know." I said looking down at my shoes. Tony lifted my face and kissed my head, "don't listen to them sis your someone to me, to Jaime, and to Mike" he smiled and hugged me. "Thanks Tones" I said trying not to cry. I loved Tony he was like my better half and my best friend.
Mike came walking up to us "hey... Jeeze Ash, did you get into with the skanks again?" he said looking a bruised area on my cheek, "yea it was the queen bee this time." I said wincing at the pain as I smiled. "Well I took care of it Ash!" Jaime said walking up. "Well are you guys’ hungry?" Tony asked us. "Are you kidding I'm starved!" Jaime said rubbing his belly. We laughed and climbed into our little car, as soon as we got in Mike's phone goes off. "Hey, no, yes, uh we're going to go eat now, yea same spot, okay see ya, bye." He got off the phone and said "Vic's going meet us, he said he has very important news to tell us" he said smiling with that I turned around feeling my face completely red.
"Great Vic's coming" as I whispered to myself.

Vic Fuentes, was the olderbrotherto Mike, and who happened to be my crush well that's not even cutting it more like I have fallen head over heels for this guy, the only ones that knew about it were the guys, but the know not to say anything... especially to Vic.

We were diving out to the diner when Tony notice my face red, he smiled and nudged me, "hey Ash why so red?" He giggled, great! Now they're going to all jump- "What! Are you serious Ash?" Jaime cut off my thought train. "Why don't you just tell him already?" Mike said patting my head. "Hey, do I look like a pet to you?" I said turning around to hit him. "Hey, we're here!" Tony said. Vic was standing on the outside my face getting even redder, I jumped out first and ran to him and got picked up into a hug, "Hey Darling!" He said into the hug, oh how I wish it would be real, getting butterflies in mystomach. "Hey babe" I said back to him smiling taking in his scent. "Hey Tones" he said putting me back on the ground, after everyone said their hellos we walked into the diner to eat, yup this became the best day ever.

We were finishing up and about to pay when we heard a huge crash outside, we looked at each other and ran outside, "Come here you fucking emo bitch!" I heard Amber scream towards us, she had thrown a brick to thebackwindow of my car, "you’re going to pay for Jaime leaving me." She spat. Jaime ran up to her and told her to calm down and to leave me alone, so much for that she just kicked him and walked off flipping us all off. "Well, then... that was weird?" Vic had said looking at me. *sigh* "We got into a fight at school and she got caught by Jaime and they broke up." I said explaining what happened. "Ah, I see, good for you Himes I didn't like her... to snobby." Vic said laughing. "Well should we get practicing?" Mike said, we all nodded and before we separated into different cars I got pulled to the side by Vic, "Do you want to ride with me?" He asked. I nodded and got into his car, then my phone went off, of course a text from my loving brother,

Tony: Mike said he told him...
Me: are kidding me?
Me: why do I tell you guys anything?
Then a text from Mike,
Mike: I'm so sorry.
Me: no Mike... Just no...

"Hey so, I was wondering do you want to go do something on Friday?" Vic asked without taking hiseyesoff the road, inside I was jumping up and down like a little girl, but I was feeling like this was rushed. "Yea, sounds like fun." I said looking at my hands. He reached over and grabbed one. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He said as we pulled to a stop. "I didn't think you'd feel the same." I said not looking at him, he chuckled and pulled my face up "Darling, I always have, I just feel stupid for not saying anything." He said looking into myeyes, he leaned in and kissed me, oh my god he kissed me, and it was amazing.

We get to me and Tony's house and head to the basement. They start setting up since I'm not filling in I headstraightinto my room to but my stuff away, then went to thekitchen, "Hey mama" I said kissing her head. "Hey baby, how was school?" She said back hugging me "eh, same" "That girl bothering you again? You know I ought to go speak with he-" " It's taken care of mama, Jaime broke up with her." I said cutting her off as I smiled, "hmmm, if I wasn't mistaken someone told someone that they liked them finally" she said smiling "yea maybemom." I said laughing "I'm going to take the guys these" I said grabbing somewater bottles. She smiled and finished up with what she was doing.

I headed down stairs hearing the most perfect voiceI've ever heard "I only need one hand to drive when you're with me you are my getaway" I smiled realizing that it's the song that they wrote, I walked in smiling, they finished up and I handed them the water, "you guys need to hurry up and get a name together" I said smiling grabbing Tony's guitar and strumming a little of what they just played. "We do." Tony said with all agreeing. "Well...” Vic started off, we waited for him to finish, "I was in class today and the professor was explaining a phrase to us..." "And…" I said to him "Pierce the Veil." He said, "What does that mean?" Jaime asked, "it means go directly to the source of a problem and completely cut it out" we all nodded to let him know we understood. "Well, may I introduce Pierce the Veil!" I yelled into the mic we all cheered, I definitely knew this was going be a good day.
