The Last Punch

“Mum!! I’m home!!” Mel yelled as we walked into the door of the Hartley house. We heard footsteps running to the door and saw Mama Hartley round the corner.
“My little girl!!” She went to Mel and wrapped her arms around her. “I missed you so much Melody..” She kissed her head and continued to hug her. At the Hartley household was 3 corgis, Mama and Papa Hartley, Shep and Mel, Adrien, and I. Tony decided to stay back, as to not intrude on the Hartley house. Papa Hartley came down from upstairs and a smile lit up his face.
“Mel! Why do you never visit us? Come give me a hug!” He said holding out his arms for Mel. Her mom let go of her and she walked over to her dad. They hugged and Mama Hartley looked at me.
“Alex! How are you doing beautiful?” She hugged me tightly then let go. “Why do you guys never come over here? I mean Shep and Adrien are always here!!” She explained pointing to the guys.
“My work is based mainly in California… I try and visit but us models don’t get to travel as much as photographers and make-up artists.” I explained. Mel, Adrien, and Shep all agreed with me.
“Well it’s good you have a paying job! Shep was just telling me the other day how hard it is in America to find a good, paying job.” Papa pitched in. “We miss you ladies loads when you don’t visit for a while!” He came over to me and gave me a side hug.
“Come!” Mama Hartley led us to the kitchen and we all sat at the breakfast nook. As we sat we watched her cook. Mel had to run back to the car to grab the flower bouquet that she had forgotten. Her parents said they were beautiful, as always.

“Do you think they ever get sick of the flowers?” Mel asked as we got buckled up in the car and headed for Adrien and Shep’s house. I laughed and shook my head.
“Mel I think it’s fine… “ Adrien said as Shep started the car. Mel nodded and I smiled. As Shep drove down the road I couldn’t help but think of Tony. I was happy that he had wanted me as much as I wanted him. I just couldn’t get over the fact that he made up a fake girlfriend to make be jealous. I was confused as to if I should be flattered of pissed off… I just decided to be impartial, as be pissed would only kill my happiness.

The clock was just turning 9 at night when Shep pulled into the drive way. We all got out of the car silently and walked into the house. I have no clue why we were silent. I wonder if anyone else is thinking this? We walked up the stairs to the living room and Tony wasn’t there.
“Where’s Tone?” I asked looking in the kitchen.
“I don’t know, but I’m gonna go to bed.. I’m exhausted. Night guys..” She said to everyone then walked to her room. I nodded and sighed.
“I’m going to sleep too… Night!” I walked to my room, wrapped in my chunky grey knit sweater. I flipped on the light but quickly shut it off when I saw Tony was sleeping in my bed. I quietly got ready for bed, I did want too wake Tony. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep. I remember the mornings of Warped Tour, when I would wake up in his arms. I felt happy and safe in his arms. I slipped into bed and he immediately put his arms around me. I still feel happy and safe in his arms.
