Izzy’s p.o.v

I came home from the errand the monster sent me on, he’s sitting on the couch watching football everything’s quiet this isn’t good
“I’m back sir” I said
“Good” he spits back
I can hear venom in his words as he says them I set everything down in the kitchen before heading up stairs to wake lola up she must still be asleep I turn towards her room something isn’t right! Her door isn’t on its hinges I look at her bed it’s a mess I see her lifeless body on the floor

There’s so much blood, I swoop her up hoping there’s still time her body’s going cold, her body’s limp I rush down stairs and out the door before he even knew what was going on I open the car and place her body in the back seat and speed to the hospital I don’t care if I’m speeding or if I get caught I’m not letting her die he’s never gone this far but has knocked her out and left her bleeding each time we have to go to a different hospital or they will get sus we cant tell anyone who does this or it will only get worse.

We finally arrive at the hospital I carry her in the emergency department in tears my heart feels like it has been ripped out my baby sister we are immediately surrounded by doctors and nurses to take her away

“What happened” the nurse says soothingly

“ She got jumped” I lied but I can’t tell them the truth

“What is her name dear?” she asks

“Lola. “ I sob
“ And your name and relationship to her”

“Izzy. I’m her older sister “ this made me cry harder

“Please take a seat izzy we will come get you when she is stable” she says softly

I wait patiently for the nurse to come back tears streaming down my face I wait lost in thought I didn’t even realize her come over

“ Izzy” I hear

“ Izzy” I snap out of my thoughts

“ Yes ma’am” I say softly

“ She’s stable you can come see her now, she’s not awake though” she said softly

I follow the nurse to Lola’s room

“ she’s on breathing machines to help her breathe she lost a lot of blood” a soft voice said

“ Will she be okay?” I said in a broken voice

“She will be okay, I’m doctor carlile but you can call me Austin” his voice was like honey sweet and soothing

“I’m izzy “ I said quietly

“Austin is quite a cute doctor, no I’m here for Lola not for a hot doctor geez get a grip izzy,” I thought to myself

Just then Lola started chocking my heart was racing watching the Austin rushing in the room to my sister I saw him talking to the nurse then pulling out the pipe that must be causing the chocking he turned off the breathing machine and looked over at me I must have a look combination of shock and terrified because he can out of the room

“ Good news, she can breathe on her own now, you can go in and see her now” he spoke calmly

“She will be fine” reassuring me
