Disenchanted Lullabye

"Okay, here's your bunk. Top is okay for you right?" Alex said quietly since some people were already asleep.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, a little parkour never hurt anybody right?" I said with a stifled giggle and Alex smiled.

"Alright well, if you need any help just ask Zack, I'm sure he'll have no problem boosting you up." He said with a snicker.

I rolled my eyes and boosted myself up, stepping on someone's hand in the process.

"OW!" I heard and I cringed.

"Sorry!" I whisper-yelled.

"Dammit Miranda, it's too early to be the life of the party." Jack said. I guess he's got the bunk below me.

"Sorry, Jack. Go back to sleep." I said and I could hear Alex snickering in his bunk.

"Get some sleep, we got a long drive before we get to the first stop, I'm sure everyone is gonna want to go balls out before the show tomorrow." He was directly across from me and I smiled.

"Night everyone!" I whispered and got a few groans and good nights in return before turning in.

I woke up, and looked to see that it was around noon. I could hear people and knew it was okay to hop down without waking someone up.

I grabbed some clothes and found the bathroom to get myself ready for the day. I did my makeup and then looked around for people. I could hear them in the back of the bus so I went up and knocked on the door before walking in.

"Hey, look who's up!" Rian said with a bright smile.

"Morning.. well, afternoon." I said and sat down on the wrap around couch. They were all watching the news and playing on their phones.

"So what's on the agenda for today?" I asked and looked around a bit excited for the first day of tour.

"Well, sound check is first, that's in like an hour, then we hang out then we play and then the party. Gotta kick off tour right." Alex said looking at his watch.

"So I got a little while to go explore?" I asked and they nodded.

"I'll see you guys at sound check then." I smiled and grabbed my jacket, camera and bag before heading out.

I walked around and snapped shots of the city and then stopped at a coffee shop to get some caffeine in my system.

I walked around for a little longer than expected and got back just as the guys were finishing up sound check.

"Sorry I'm late. I lost track of time." I said in a huff.

"It's alright. Sound check isn't a big deal anyways." Jack said and I felt a little better about being late.

'Hey guys, I see a wild Miranda!' I heard and I smiled.

"There's good ol Brucey." I smiled and gave him a hug.

"You ready to get fucked up tonight?" Cam asked and I laughed.

"Not quite but I'm sure you'll force me to pregame so." I laughed and they did too.

"Alright well, we'll see you all later." Ben said and they walked off.

"So that's the new guy, aye?" I said while looking at the tall slim guy walking beside Ben.

"Yeah, That's Denis. He's a cool guy. Everyone likes being around him a lot more than Danny." Zack said and I nodded. He was a good looking guy. From what I understood he was from the Ukraine and I had heard of him before so it was no surprise when he became the new lead singer of AA.

"Danny was good guy he just got a bit out of hand." I said with a sigh. It's always sad to see a band part with the lead singer because it could have been the downfall to AA.

"Yeah, it was for the better. He wanted to do different things than the other guys. Now everyone's happy doing what they're doing." Jack added.

"I suppose that's a positive from it all." I said as we reached the bus.

The concert went smoothly and I got some amazing shots of the guys. Their lighting guy is just amazing. I love shooting ATL purely for all the colors.

It was time to go to this massive tour kickoff party but before I left the bus, I called Jaime. I know he must be pacing the floors, digging a trench into them.

'Hey, babe! Sorry I didn't call earlier, I was just pumped about my first day.'

'Was it fun?' He said happily.

'It was! I'm off to the kick off thing now and figured I would call before I started drinking and don't worry, I'm not gonna drink much.'

'Well, I'm glad your first day was fun sweetheart. Be careful, okay? Ben and the guys will just hand you shot after shot the first night." He sighed and I did too.

'I think I'll be okay. I'll stay near Alex more in case I get a bit too out of hand.'

'Alright, well, call me tomorrow and go have some fun. I love you Miranda.'

'I will, I love you too Jaime. Good night.'

'Good night.'

I hated and loved that he worried so much. It was nice to know he cared but it was like he thought I would get too carried away. I've never gotten too out of hand, not when I was with him.

I stepped off the bus and saw the massive group that had built up in the back of the venue.

There were people grilling and people making drinks and lots of chatter. I search the crowd for the ever entertaining Gaskarth but was snatched up by Ben.

"Nope, tonight you're hanging with us." He said and soon set me down where he and his band mates were.

He handed me a shot of what looked like whiskey, we clinked glasses and downed them.

"You haven't met Denis yet, right?" Sam said and I shook my head.

"Denis, this is the girl we told you about, the one that shut Ben's arse down!" James said excitedly and I chuckled.

"Nice to meet you Denis, I'm Miranda." I said and extended my hand for a handshake. I was soon pulled into a hug which I was happy to return.

"He's a hugger when he drinks." Cam said and I laughed.

"Aren't we all." I said and sat down with the boys.

We chatted for a while and I started to get to know the new guy in which he also got to know me as well. With all of the chatter, all the stories came out and they all made him laugh.


I was soon found by Oli, he was just passing by and saw me.

"Hey, Miranda! Long time no see!" He said and gave me a hug. I returned it but felt a little leary.

"Come on, come say hi to the guys." He said and I nodded.

"I'll see you guys later, it was nice meeting you Denis. Hope these guys don't corrupt you too much!" I said with a chuckle and left.

"Look who I found." Oli said and I waved to the guys. The all looked like they've been drinking for a while now.

I sat with them and had a few more drinks until things started to get blurry.

I remeber playing beer pong and winning but that's about it. What happened after that, I couldn't tell you anything except that I didn't wake up in my own bunk.
