Disenchanted Lullabye

When I got home I found it a bit tough to not look over my shoulder at every place I was by myself. I didn't go around town as much and I stayed near Jaime when we went out. I tried my best to act as normal as possible, telling him that I was just tired from my home visit but I think he and the others knew something was up. Nothing had happened but I was still weary of going anywhere just in case.

It made me think that it was just a one time thing and as the month of January came and went, The extended tour with AA, ATL and BMTH daunted my attention. Everyone at work thought that it was incredible that I got offered to do such a big tour and even more so with friends; people that I knew and enjoyed being around.

I had still refrained from telling Jaime about anything that happened the night Oli kissed me or about how I felt going into this tour but I think I'm gonna be fine. I'm just gonna have to mind my distance from the ever so flirty drinkers from Bring Me.

"Babe, when do you leave again?" Jaime asked from bed as I packed and unpacked my things.

"Next week and I'll be gone until the end of April, I think." I said. I would be gone for a little more than two months.

"It's gonna be so boring without you here." He sighed. When I got back he seemed to be a bit clingy-er than when I left. I love him dearly but I honestly needed some time to myself once in a while.

"Yeah, It'll be weird doing my first tour but at least I'll be with people I know." I said and smiled. My first big tour ever... Hopefully it goes well and I don't get myself into too much trouble.

"You'll enjoy it. It's cool to see the country and be in a different place every night with friends. I gotta warn you though, AA get pretty rowdy at night so you gotta be careful." He said with a nervous undertone.

"I've heard the stories but no need to worry, you know me, I'm not the one who parties all night like everyone else. Most of the time I'll probably be in bed by twelve." I said with a chuckle and he smiled.

"Yeah, I know that but they can be pretty convincing." The look on his face screamed worry.

It wasn't AA that he had to worry about though.

"I'll make sure to stay out of trouble. After all, I'm going for work, not to just fuck around. I love my friends but not enough to lose my job." I said with a shake of my head.

I knew he was just trying to warn me of the impending predicaments I would be in but I have been doing this for years, granted nothing has ever led to hanging out afterwords like it has been in the past year but I know how to deal with band members, that's how I got my job in the first place. No fangirling, no overly obsessiveness and no inappropriateness unless I knew it was safe to do so.

The rest of the guys came over and we hung out, a very calm evening that was much needed to ease my mind before this tour.

What's gonna happen when I see Oli again? Will it be awkward or just be forgotten about?

Too many ways the situation can go, too little time to think about it.


The rest of the two weeks went smoothly, and by smoothly I mean overthinking everything that could go on while I was gone and what I would do during my time on tour.

Jaime was driving me to ATL's hotel since I would be bunking with them. It was far too early to function properly and thank god for Jaime because there would have been no way I could have driven the two hours to LA by myself.

The closer we got, the more excited I became. I think it was more the caffeine was finally circulating in my system rather than pure excitement.

"And here we are!" Jaime said as we pulled up to the two large tour buses. Thirty or so people stood around, putting things into the bus as well as chatting. I took a deep breath and gained a big smile before stepping out.

"Miranda! Hime!" Alex said as we rounded the corner of the bus.

"Hey Alex! Long time no see!" I said and gave him a big hug. It really had been quite a while.
I was just a little name in the local paper when I first met them.

"A long time indeed!" He said and gave a quick hug to Jaime.

"You take good care of my girl, Gaskarth!" Jaime said and pulled me close and I chuckled.

"Of course! I would never get this little lady into any trouble. Jack on the other hand might." He said with a chuckle.

"We gotta get going, Alex." Someone yelled and I sighed... time to leave.

"Here, I'll take your things and get them to the bus, just come in when your done and I'll show you your bunk." Alex said while grabbing my suitcase.

"Alright, I'll be there in a sec."

I looked at Jaime and could tell he was nervous about me going on my first tour.

"Don't worry babe, I'll be okay." I said brightly.

"I know you will.. It's like I'm watching my child go off to school for the first time." He said with a small slightly sad smile.

I held him close and gave him a final kiss before letting go.

"Call me when you get to the first venue, okay?" He requested and I smiled and nodded. I waved him a goodbye and hopped on the bus.

My first big venture, a time to really get myself out there and have some credentials on my resume.

Hopefully it all goes well.

Hello internet friends! I took a big break from this story because of all the things going on. I now have 3 stories running at once, 2 of my own and the 1 huge collab story I've talked about before. It all get's very draining along with the shit life throws my way and if you read my Tony story, you know what's going on.

Anywho, I'm sorry for such the delay on this update but I finally know where I want to go with the tour section (get hyped guys, shits going down possibly in the next update) and I'm really excited about it.
