I Introduce The Selfish Machine

It was 8:30 in the morning, and I had been up since 7. Voluntarily. I was up early because I wanted to be.
And, also because Tony's leaving for a European tour today.
I sat in the middle of the bed while the handsome hunk of a man I call my boyfriend stood at the foot, packing his suitcase. He was wearing his glasses, a Sleeping With Sirens shirt, and Nike sweat pants, all of which I had bought him.
Tony packed his underwear. I took it out. He laughed and put it back in the suitcase. I took it out yet again.
"Piper Lynn, you know I have to pack." He said.
I sighed. "I know, but I don't want you to go."
Tony leaned over the suitcase and cupped his hands over my face. "I know baby, but in two weeks you'll be there with me. Just remember that." He softly kissed my forehead.
Since I felt like being an obnoxious girlfriend, I laid my head at the foot of the bed, right next to Tony's suitcase. "Do you even knoooow what today is, Tony Perry?"
"You are not hounding me about today. Out of all the people to forget, you think I forgot?"
"Hey, you may have forgot."
My head was now hanging off the bed. Tony squatted down in front of me. "Happy anniversary, Piper." He said, then softly kissed me.
"We totally just Spiderman kissed and I was Spiderman." I said, sitting up.
Tony laughed. "Shut up and help me, Kristianson."

I sat in the chair at a doctor's office, watching my sister's doctor squeeze some weird gel on her round stomach.
"Why am I here again?" I asked.
Leanna rolled her head over to the side to look at me. "Well, because Jacob's at work, and because you have to know the sex before us."
I sighed, standing up to walk over to my sister. "I thought revealing parties were for the guest not for the parents."
"It's not a revealing party, it's a baby shower. And, Jacob and I want to be surprised when we open the first present to see if we're having a Cameron or a Payton."
I paused, confused. "Those are both boy names, Lee."
"We're naming it Payton if it's a girl." She said. I felt my sister's boney hand squeeze mine. "You miss Tony yet?"
He had only been gone for two days, but it didn't feel right, rolling over and not feeling him on the other side. "It's only been two days and my heart is literally aching because he's gone."
"I figured you wouldn't like it."
"Nope, I hate it."
I was standing next to the doctor, who was pointing the gender out to me on the screen. I glanced back at my sister, married, successful, having baby. A weird pain rushed over me, a pain that told me that I will never get to experience all these great things.

This chapter was weak, but hang in there because chapter twenty seven has a huge surprise. I just needed to give y'all so information.
