A Friday Night Like This

I reached the party a few minutes after eight, with Mike and Tony tagging along. Jaime had gone out to get some dinner for us and we had taken that as our cue to get away. Mike and Tony didn't approve of leaving Jaime, but they knew that I needed some support. Kellin probably wouldn't like me coming up and talking to him. Someone handed us all red cups and we started drinking eagerly. Mike more so than Tony and I.

A few hours later and I was still on my first drink. Tony and Mike had let themselves go and were currently grinding on each other. Unfortunately, everybody had taken to their example. I turned around and saw a drunk Kellin staggering his way over to me.

'Vi-' He started, before hiccuping. '-c!' Tony and Mike "magically" appeared, clearly listening in. Maybe they weren't as shit-faced as I thought they were.

'H - hi K - K - Kellin.' I stammered as my drunken ex-husband threw himself into my arms.

'I miss you, V - Vic!' He cried. 'Why did you leave me? Was I not good enough? Was Jaime better?' Kellin stood up properly and stared me in the eyes. Next thing I knew, my head had snapped to the side and my right cheek was stinging. My mouth dropped open. Kellin had slapped me. I raised a hand tentatively to my face and probed the area with my fingertips.

'You - you. I don't even know what to call you!' Kellin screamed. My hands balled into fists and I counted to ten with my eyes closed. I opened my eyes and a fist connected with the right side of my head. Kellin stormed off, grabbing another red cup and chugging it down. He let out an excited yell and started dancing. Talk about an emotional drunk. Mike came up to me with some ice to soothe the burning.

'Thanks,' I mumbled, holding it to the red skin.

~a few more hours later~

I spotted Kellin dancing on the far side of the dancefloor. He was dancing with Jaime, who had managed to find the party. It wasn't that hard, really. I mean, look at it. About fifteen different bands all partying with loud music, screams and the stench of alcohol being carried miles around? We fit right into the peaceful Arizona background. Not. It's gotten really hot at night so most of the guys - and Taylor Momsen - had taken their shirts off to cool their body down. Of course, that had led to even more clothes being taken off thanks to the liquid influence and there were a few people wandering around in their birthday suits. Taylor was down to her bra, high heels and booty shorts so, naturally, all the guys were crowding around her.

Should I be jealous that Jaime and Kellin are dancing together?

Should I intervene?

Should I talk to Kellin now or later?

A million different thoughts whirled around my mind, making me confuzzled [cred to messedupinthehead69]. By now it was roughly twelve thirty and people were starting to leave.

'Hey, you guys wanna play seven minutes in heaven?' Kellin asked to the remaining few people. Everybody nodded eagerly except for me. I tried slipping into the shadows but to no avail. We agreed on the rules and split into two circles and spun the bottles of beer someone had found. Taylor Momsen was chosen from my circle first. She was blindfolded while the person from the other circle underwent the same treatment. We didn't have a small, enclosed area available, so we decided that one of the shower stalls was sufficient. The two were shoved in there - Taylor happened to be with Zach Merrick - and everybody else proceeded to get even more drunk by playing never have I ever. I couldn't weasel my way out of this one - I had to drink. And me being the lightweight I am got as drunk as the others after a few rounds. Soon, the two came out of the shower, Taylor trying to hold her bra together, and the next pair was chosen.

Alex and Jack. Alan and Austin. Tony and Mike. Sam and Cameron. All had their share of fun and when it came around to my turn I had no clue who it could possibly be. I had lost count of everyone and joined with the darkness and blindfold there was no way I could identify who it was without them talking. But that was one of the rules - no sounds.

It was extremely awkward until they reached out and slid their hand down my stomach. They clutched me closer and we kissed hungrily, craving the other person's touch. My mind was swimming, and I was just thinking of Kellin. I hoped it was Kellin. Then it wouldn't be so awkward, right? We both had our shirts off already, but we didn't go any further. We just explored each other's backs and stomachs.

We exited the stall and the next two were ready. I didn't look at who I had kissed. I knew it wasn't Kellin and I didn't want anything uncomfortable to come of this if he was one of my closest friends. [A/N I'm not gonna reveal who was with Vic. It wasn't Mike to all you pervy people out there who instantly jump to that conclusion. He had his turn with Tony.]

The world became woozy and the alcohol invaded my senses. I grabbed my head and I fell down. The last thing I saw was Kellin running onto his bus stark naked. I relished in the view and I saw Jesse run in after him. Two loud thuds later and it became obvious they had knocked themselves out with their intake of liquor. I soon joined them.
