One Shots

Tonight We'll Be Throwing A Party - Tony Perry

The school dance. Possibly the worst place in the world to be. I leaned back against the wall and swirled the punch in my cup. It was my second drink of the evening and I was trying to see how long I could make it last.

My 'friends' had forced me to come to the dance, claiming how it was our last one - we were seniors - we may as well experience it. When they say we, they meant me. They had attended every dance our school had thrown, thanks to their girlfriends they had somehow gotten out of the blue.

I had been asked by plenty of girls, but had turned the offer down, usually claiming to have a cold and coughing lamely. By now, the girls had learned to stay away from me when dance time came around.

I gazed out at the dance floor, looking at the bright colours of the girls' dresses and the darker, muted tones of the guys' suits. One girl caught my attention, spinning on her own off to the side of the dance floor.

She looked rather short, and had an unhappy expression on her face, trying to mask it by spinning around and then staggering a few steps, dizzy. She had no boys going up to her and I slowly wandered closer.

Her dress was a light, gauzy blue, and had one sleeve, going down her left arm. It complimented her fierce blue eyes, and light blonde hair, blending into the curled tendrils of blue, that marked the ends of her hair. She was dazzlingly pale, and the lights seemed to bounce off her. As I ventured even closer, I noticed the spider bites on her bottom lip, the rings curling around her rosy lip. I touched my own lip rings subconsciously.

'Hello,' she said while spinning, coming to a rapid stop and focusing her gaze on me.

'Hi,' I said nervously, biting my lip once again.

'I think this dance is stupid. What about you?' She said, walking off the dance floor, swaying her hips. She grabbed my drink and took a sip of it, before placing it back in my hands. I was enraptured by her beauty, and I followed as she walked off. 'I can think of somewhere much more fun to be.'

'You know, in all your babbling I never caught your name.'

'You didn't tell me yours,' she shrugged, leading me to the sports bleachers.

'Tony.'

'I'm Cati,' she said, turning around and trailing her fingers up my shirt, 'and you are hot.' My heart started beating faster and she climbed a step, and wrapped her arms around my neck. She was still looking up at me, even with the help of the step and her heels. She glanced at my lips and leaned in, tugging on a lip ring with her teeth.

She tasted like tropical punch, and her tongue danced with mine. Our kiss hadn't even lasted five seconds, and already she was roaming my mouth, pressing herself up against me. My arms were around her waist, my fingertips lightly tracing patterns, making her shiver. I pulled away and trailed kisses along her jaw, reaching up with my right hand hand and moving her hair out of my way as I began nibbling at her neck. I let out soft breaths, and she shuddered happily. I opened my eyes and saw an ampersand tattooed into her pale flesh.

'Your tattoo is beautiful,' I murmured against her skin, planting kisses back towards her mouth.

'Thank you,' she said, running her tongue over my bottom lip. She moved her hands so that they were cupping my face, I nipped at my tongue as she once again took control. She gasped, and slid her arms around my neck, the fabric of her dress revealing the skin on her wrist and forearm. The bumpy skin, rubbed against mine and I pulled away, glancing at it. She gasped, and tugged her wrist away.

'Sorry for ruining the moment,' she spat, rushing down the stairs. I followed her, grabbing her shoulder, spinning her around.

'On the contrary, the moment was only just beginning.' I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around me. I slid my hand over her smooth leg, once again encountering the jagged marks. I kissed her again, and she pulled away, saying,

'Really?' In answer, I only kissed her harder.
