Shay

I snuggled closer to Jaime, pulling the blankets closer around us. Pizza boxes lay on the bed, and there was wine on the bedside table next to us.

'What movie did you choose?' Jaime asked, one arm circling around my waist, the other grabbing a pizza box and flipping the lid open.

'Moulin Rouge.' I replied, pressing play while Jaime grabbed a pizza box, the smell of pineapple and ham enveloping my nose.

'What's this one about?' He asked, handing me a slice. I started nibbling at the edges as I replied, trying not to attract the attention of the stringy cheese.

'It's a love story that takes place at a nightclub.' Jaime nodded thoughtfully as John Leguizamo's cover of Nature Boy came trickling through the speakers. I continued to eat my pizza, watching as the familiar unstory unfolded itself for the umpteenth time in front of my eyes.

'Hey, I thought you said this was a nightclub.' Jaime complained as Nini-Legs-In-The-Air and the other Moulin Rouge dancers appeared on screen. 'Where's all the girls?'

I laughed, giving him a kiss on the cheek. 'It's set in 1900, Hime. This is as cheeky as it gets.'

Jaime rolled his eyes and picked up another slice of pizza, his eyes suddenly glued to the screen when Nicole Kidman appeared. I stifled laughter as he forgot to eat his food, a piece of cheese stretched between his mouth and the slice it was desperately clinging onto.

'Jaime, food. It goes in your mouth.' I said, nudging him. I picked up my wine and sipped it, continuing to watch the movie.

I could hardly concentrating on the movie. All I could see was Shay's cherry red head in the corner of my eye, moving up and down as she agreed with the characters and had her dinner. She was gorgeous, and I could just picture her dark eyes sparkling as she watched the love between Satine and Christian blossom then grow. I adjusted my arm around her, and started massaging her shoulder. She shifted her position too, so that she was leaning on me more, her head in the crook of my neck. She sighed happily. It was barely audible, but I could see her chest rise and fall slower than usual.

I tried concentrating on the movie, failing once again when I looked down at Shay when the Elephant Love Medley came on screen. She was mouthing the words, a smile gracing her face. She looked up at me, sensing my gaze on her.

'You're not watching the movie.' She stated, still smiling.

'I like watching you as you watch it.' I replied, leaning down and claiming her mouth. She responded eagerly, turning around so that she could reach me better. She put her arms around my neck, and pulled herself up from her lounging position, still kissing me. It couldn't have been an easy manoeuvre, and I commended her for it. I ran my tongue over her bottom lip and she shivered, smiling as she allowed entrance. We pulled away, and she started kissing my neck, trailing kisses in an uneven line. I groaned as she hit the soft spot, and I felt her breath land on my skin unevenly, she was laughing. She reached up and kissed my lips again as the song ended.

'Let's continue watching this, yeah?'
