I watched Vic walk over to his microphone, adjusting the different cords and switches. His hair was stuffed under a cap, and he had on one of our denim vests. Trademark skinnies covered his legs, while Vans adorned his feet. He started soundchecking his mic, singing a few lines of Caraphernelia.

'Nobody prays for the heartless,

Nobody gives another penny for the selfish,

You're learning how to taste what you kill now.'

Satisfied with the sound, he grabbed his guitar and started strumming it, carefully tuning it. A hand was clapped onto my shoulder, and I turned to see Tony looking at me.

'Go on, man. You know you like him. I'll get Mike away for you.' He winked at me, grinning cheekily, before grabbing Mike.

'We're going for pre-show drinks!' He yelled at Vic, who nodded absentmindedly. The rest of the crew, who were watching us soundcheck and fixing up minor details in the set, eagerly followed, sensing that they were going to be supplied with hopefully free alcohol.

An idea popped into my head, and I picked up my own microphone. I unplugged the different cords and turned on the wireless. I picked up my guitar and started strumming, playing the chords to Caraphernelia. It wasn't that impressive seen as it was only the bass lines, but I liked it. Vic looked over in interest; he had already heard me soundcheck my bass. I walked over to one of the risers and placed my guitar on it, letting the last note ring through the empty space. I picked up the microphone and started walking over to Vic, singing the lines he had just sung.

He had his tour pass on a lanyard around his neck, and I reached out and twisted it around my fingers, pulling him closer as I sang,

'Don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace. Talking to my mum about this little boy from Texas.' We were now standing chest to chest, and I tilted my head down, placing my lips on his, allowing him to decide if this was right or not. My eyes were closed, and I could feel his breath coming out, short and staggered. A few seconds passed and I opened my eyes, starting to open my eyes.

Wrong move, Jaime. What were you thinking?

I felt a warmth against my lips, and a wetness too. My eyes flew open the rest of the way, and I saw Vic, his eyes closed, and his arms reaching up to wrap around my neck. His tongue once again brushed my lips, and he stepped closer, our bodies flush against each other. We started breathing in time, and I felt his heartbeat through the thin membrane of his lips. I allowed him entrance, and we fought for dominance. He tasted like strawberries, which wasn't that surprising as he had a punnet behind him and he had been munching on them all day.

We pulled away, gasping and Vic looked at me, his eyes betraying his true feelings. He smashed his lips back on mine, and I picked him up. He wrapped his legs around my waist and lifted himself up, so that I was tilting my head up to reach him. His cap had fallen off, and his hair was creating a curtain around us. I helped him stay higher than me, and walked over to a wall, pressing him up against it. All the while, our tongues danced in perfect harmony.

'Be my boyfriend?' Vic asked, breathing heavily as we pulled apart again after a few minutes of furiously making out. I stopped breathing for a second and looked up at Vic. He blushed bright red, muttering,

'I'm so sorry. That was just a thought-' I cut him off, once again reclaiming his lips. But this wasn't driven by any need, or want. This was my answer. I felt Vic relax in my arms, and I drew back, smiling. I helped him get back down on the ground, and we returned to sound check, where we could hear everyone returning. I grabbed his hand, and started swinging our clasped hands between us, a smile still remaining on my face.
