Days went by and I got to know to Vic a lot better. He turned out to be a guy with a lot of heartache. He mostly wrote songs about his life and previous loves, and I guess it was his way to deal with disappointments. He was a really nice guy, he was a big brother-type of guy.

I didn't really see Tony until a week later when we accidentally bumped into each other at the local grocery store. My mom had sent me out to buy food for the night and when I had all that I needed, I paid for the stuff, walked out of the store and started walking back to our summer place.

A car pulled up next to me and the window rolled down. I looked into the car and saw Tony.

”Do you need a ride?” he asked.

For a moment I thought it'd be the best if I said no and walked home. But it was so hot outside... And I had so much stuff... And it was Tony...

I finally nodded as an answer. The car stopped and I opened the door to get in.

”Thanks,” I said and smiled.

”So... What were you here for?” he asked me after turning off the radio.

”Mom sent me to get some food,” I shrugged, ”What about you?”

”We're having a party tonight...” he said and pointed at the backseat.

I turned my head and looked back to see the backseat full of beer and bottles of liquor.

”Wow, that's a lot of alcohol,” I mumbled, amazed by the amount of all sorts of bottles and cans.

”It is,” he agreed, ”But we have some people coming over...”

”Is your girlfriend coming?” I asked.

I looked at his face and noticed that he was biting his lip really hard. He furrowed his eyebrows and I waited for him to answer my question.

”Yeah,” he said finally.

”How is she? What is she like?”

”She's... She's beautiful,” he told me, ”She's very adultlike.”

”Is she? I guess she's nothing like me, then,” I said and looked out of the side window.

”You don't have to compare the two of you.”

”I know. I'm completely out of your league,” I said.

Tony stopped his car in front of their house and got out. I thanked him for the ride and got my stuff.

After I had left, I got a text message from Tony, inviting me to the party, and you know what, I was actually excited to go. I wanted to see what his girlfriend was like.

When the time came, I told my mother that I was going out with some of my friends. She gave me a very confused look, knowing that I really didn't have friends, apart from my ”loverboy” in Miami.

I left and walked over to Tony's and rang the doorbell. A girl, who later turned out to be Jaime's girlfriend, opened the door for me. I explained who I was (that I was the neighbour, not that I'd spent my summers sleeping with Tony) and she let me in.

I found my way to the living room where pretty much everybody was. I was introduced to everybody and the last person I shook hands with turned out to be Tony's girlfriend.

Her name was Kelsey and she looked... Well, she looked somewhat old but I suppose it was alright because she was nearly 30.

Kelsey was very adultlike, just like Tony had told me. She didn't seem like a person that enjoyed being at house parties so I didn't feel like she really belonged there. She dressed really nicely but she didn't seem like a girl that Tony would go out with. They didn't fit together.

After sitting next to Kelsey for a while, she turned out to be really boring, too. All she talked about was her work and she didn't even drink beer, she'd only had a glass of wine and we'd been there for hours already. But then I realized that maybe Tony liked her because of what she was like. Maybe he wanted a really intelligent, businesswoman-ish girlfriend. It just seemed weird because Tony didn't act like she did, even though they were the same age. Tony seemed really young, she didn't.

Later that night, or actually really early the next morning, there were only a few of us awake. I was slowly drifting to sleep on the couch and could hear Tony and Jaime talking quietly on the other side of the room. Tony's girlfriend had passed out and was laying on one of the couches while I had no idea where the others were.

I hadn't noticed that they had stopped chatting until I felt somebody's arms around me. I was being pulled up from the couch. I opened my eyes slightly, just enough to see Tony's neck tattoo in front of my eyes, and closed them when I realized I was too tired to keep them wide open. Tony walked me into his bedroom and put me down on the bed and I could only wonder why he was doing it to me. Why wasn't he helping his girlfriend to his bed? Why did he take me there?

Tony took off my shoes and pulled the blanket over me while I rested my cheek against the soft pillow that smelled like him. It felt safe to be there, knowing that he spent his nights in the exact same spot. I had slept on that bed a hundred times and it always felt like the best place on Earth.

”Tony?” I whispered as he pulled his hands away from me.

”Yeah?”

”Lay down with me.”

”I don't think – ”

”Please,” I whispered without opening my eyes, ”Just for a moment.”

I heard a quiet sigh but a moment later heard how he kicked off his shoes and laid down behind me. I felt him slowly wrap his arms around my waist and pull me really close to his body. He buried his face into the back of my neck and hair before kissing the skin on my neck.

Much to my surprise I could feel him moving his hand down my stomach and all the way down until it rested between my thighs. He started rubbing me and my eyes shot wide open. What was he doing?

”Tony – ”

I was cut off by his other hand which he slapped over my mouth. He shut me up completely as he kept teasing me with his other hand. I couldn't help but moan against his fingers as he brought me such pleasure. It had become obvious that his girlfriend didn't mean that much to him. She was in the living room while we were in Tony's room – she could've walked in on us any second and yet Tony was stupid enough to do what he was doing.

Even if he was distracting me, I couldn't help but feel tired. I had been awake for nearly 24 hours and my whole body was screaming and begging for sleep. I closed my eyes and enjoyed his touch and the way he had started kissing my neck.

”I want you,” he admitted quietly right into my ear.

I swallowed hard but didn't bother opening my eyes. He pulled his hand away and relocated it to my breasts and started massaging them gently. By that point I was begging for him to take me right there and then. I was all relaxed and more than ready, and so was he, I realized, as I felt how hard he was against my lower back.

”Come on top,” he whispered and brushed my hair back.

I rolled on to my back and he helped me on top of his body. It took him less than a second to slam his lips against mine and after a few moments of passion he started pulling my dress off my body. I found myself straddling his waist and laying against his chest in my underwear as his hands worked their magic and massaged me and caressed my skin.

”Tony, baby? Where are you?” It was Kelsey's voice coming from the living room that scared the shit out of us.

It took Tony no time to roll me off his body and sit up.

”Pretend that you're asleep,” he hissed to me and threw the blanket over my body.

I closed my eyes and lay still under the hot blanket as the door opened.

”Baby, where have you been?” Kelsey purred in the doorway. I opened my eyes slightly enough to see that they had their arms around each other and were hugging in the doorway.

”Is that... Is that Abigail in the bed?” she asked suddenly and I quickly closed my eyes. I held my breath for a moment.

”Yeah,” Tony said and sighed, ”She's pretty messed up, threw up all around the place and passed out there.”

”That's gross,” she muttered, ”Can we go somewhere to... You know? I really want you right now.”

”Uh, yeah, sure...” Tony's voice sounded a bit awkward. The door closed and soon they were gone and I let out a sigh of relief.
