The next morning I woke up with a headache. I rolled over to my back and opened my eyes, only to regret it because the lights made me blind for a moment. When I finally saw something, it took me a long time to realize where I was.

I was... I was in Tony's bedroom. I sat up and the blanket fell off me, revealing my bare chest. Was I naked? I furrowed my eyebrows and lifted up the blanket and saw that, yes, I was naked. I got up from the bed and found my way to Tony's suitcase which he hadn't yet unpacked. I opened it and pulled out a t-shirt and a pair of comfortable-looking shorts. I pulled them on before stepping out of the room.

The first thing I saw was Tony who was asleep on the couch. I wandered around the house for a moment and saw Jaime sleeping in one of the bedrooms and Mike and Vic in another one. Then I stood in the middle of the living room for a while and just looked around the house.

My headache had disappeared and all that was left was a horrible need to pee. I quickly found my way into the bathroom and sat down on toilet seat. As I was peeing, somebody opened the door and walked in. It was Tony and he didn't notice me until he stood right in front of me.

”Holy fuck,” he mumbled and rubbed his eyes, ”Sorry, I didn't notice you.”

He quickly left the room and I finished my business. I washed my hands and splashed some water on my face before stepping out. I saw Tony leaning against the wall and looking at me.

”Abby, about last night...” Tony started but I cut him off.

”Why did you do it with me if you have a girlfriend?” I asked, giving him a hard time.

He looked down and for a moment I felt sorry for him. I felt bad for being so rude to him.

”I was drunk,” he finally said, ”It was a mistake.”

”Wow, well, that makes me feel good,” I muttered and crossed my arms over my chest.

”Well what was I supposed to do? We've always had sex here and then you were right there in your little, sexy dress and you obviously wanted me too,” he mumbled and shrugged.

”What are you going to tell your girlfriend?”

”I'm... I'm not going to tell her anything,” he said, ”She doesn't need to know.”

”Right, okay,” I muttered and was about to leave when he grabbed my hand and pushed me gently against the wall.

”It's better if we don't see each other anymore,” he said quietly.

”You know what, I think you're absolutely right. But last night proved me that you can't keep your hands off me so this is going to be a long summer for you if you try to avoid me,” I muttered and yanked my arm away from his grip.

It didn't take long for Tony to come to me, and already on that same night I got a text message from him, telling me to come outside. I was already in my pajamas but decided that since it was dark outside, nobody but him would see me so it didn't matter.

I wasn't going to sneak out of my window again, that was for sure, so I had to use the front door. It wasn't like I couldn't go out during nights because after all I was 22 already and my mom couldn't really stop me. I just didn't want her to find out I was going to see Tony because she was so nosy that I would have to hear about it for the rest of my life. I ended up sneaking out of the front door and met Tony between our houses.

When I saw him, I noticed how nervous he looked. He was sitting on the ground and leaning against the wall. He lifted his head up when he saw me coming and I stopped in front of him. I stood there in complete silence for until he opened his mouth.

”I'm sorry about what I said earlier,” he said quietly.

”Uh huh?”

”I realized that I have to be the adult here. I need to be responsible for what I did,” he said, ”I'm going to tell my girlfriend about what happened. But this, what we have, has to stop.”

”Right...”

”I've had fun with you,” he said as he stood up and continued, ”I think you're a great girl, Abby. But you're so young and... You're so different. I didn't want to hurt you.”

”You didn't do anything wrong,” I admitted and sighed, ”We're not in a relationship. All we had was sex, which was great, but... That was all.”

”I hope we can still be friends,” he said quietly. I flashed a smile and nodded.

Even though I didn't think I had any romantic feelings for him, it still hurt to know that what we had was over. Well, okay, what we'd had hadn't been so special. But there was nothing I would miss more than the sex. I wasn't sure if I was going to live without it, without him, without the feeling of him inside of me, without his hands...

I sighed deeply as I turned on the lights in my dark room. It was nearly six in the morning and I hadn't slept one bit. There was no point in trying anymore so I sat up and ruffled my hair for a moment. I started wandering down the stairs and made myself a cup of tea in the kitchen before walking out to the back yard.

The air felt cool against my skin and I knew it wasn't going to be like that for long. The sun would soon rise and start burning. I sat down and started sipping my tea and just enjoyed the silence and cool summer breeze.

”Couldn't sleep?”

The sound of somebody's voice scared me. I flinched and turned my head to my side, trying to find the person who had let out the words. I saw Vic – one of Tony's friends – sitting on Tony's backyard with a guitar.

”No,” I shook my head, ”What are you doing up so early?”

I got up and walked closer to him. I leaned against the fence and looked at him.

”I'm trying to write something,” he patted his guitar, ”There's a lot on my mind and I need to clear my head.”

”Does writing help?” I asked quietly. He nodded and flashed a smile.

”It helps more than anything else,” he told me.

”Can you play something to me?” I asked carefully.

He didn't answer my question with words. Instead he waited for me to sit down next to him and then started playing.

”How old are you, Vic?” I asked after he had finished playing a very beautiful song. He had an amazing voice and he really knew how to play guitar.

”29,” he said.

”Do you think it's bad if a guy is your age and the girl is... Like six years younger? Could their relationship work?” I asked quietly.

”You're not talking about me and you, are you?”

”Oh, no, no,” I quickly said with a laugh, ”I just... How old is Tony's girlfriend?”

”I think... I think she's around our age,” he shrugged.

”Oh...”

”I think Tony really loves her,” Vic told me quietly and my heart broke a little. Not that I loved Tony because I surely didn't...

”I'm sure he does,” I whispered and nodded, ”He's a great guy. He knows how to treat a girl.”

”Do you have feelings for him?” he asked suddenly.

I was slightly taken aback by his words. Did I look like I had feelings for Tony? Did I sound like I had feelings for him?

”No, of course not,” I said a bit too quickly and started shaking my head.

”Well that didn't really convince me. Want to try again?” Vic laughed softly.

”I don't think I have feelings for him. We've always just been... Fuck buddies,” I said.

”I didn't think girls could do that.”

”Why not?”

”Because they always start to feel something more and they always get jealous,” he said.

”I've gone, what, four summers without feeling anything romantic between Tony and myself so why would I start feeling now?”

”Maybe you've reached a point where you just want something more, I don't know,” he shrugged.

”Well it's too late now, isn't it? He's got a girlfriend and I'm going to be happy for him,” I said.

My words nearly convinced me and I wanted to believe it was true. But it wasn't. I was no different to other girls; I'd started to feel something more and I would most definitely get jealous of Tony.
