Studio Vibes
Jaime's POV
I woke up and couldn’t help but smile at the thought of last night. If only things could stay like that forever. I got up and stretched before putting on some sweats and heading downstairs to join the others.
“For the last time Mike, I don’t want to partake in your use of the devil’s lettuce-” Lexi said before walking straight into me. She looked up at me surprised and then blushed as she realized her hands were still on my bare chest, but quickly composed herself.
“Put a shirt on Jaime.” She scolded. “If I can’t have my tits out then neither can y’all”
“I mean, you can if you really want to.” Mike teased
“Ewh dude what the fuck, that’s my sister.” Tony interjected and tossed me a shirt.
“I was just kidding. What’s up with the Perry’s yelling at me today for no reason?”
“Oh shut up Mike.” They said in unison.
“You guys have been doing that creepy twin thing all morning, what the hell?” Mike defended.
“What creepy twin thing?” They said in unison. “Oh” they laughed.
“To be fair they used to do that all the time. You’ll get used to it.”
“I doubt it. They giving of The Shining twin vibes.”
The twins shared a look before looking at Mike “Come play with us Mikey.”
“I hate you both” Mike shuddered before going to the kitchen.
“What’s the plan for today?”
“Well, I’m taking Lexi to the doctor and then coffee, annnnd then whatever she wants, I guess.”
“Hmmm, can I see y’all’s studio?”
“What you wanna come to the studio with us?” Vic piped up.
“Well duh.”
“That’s actually great I’ve been working on a song and I would really love some input.” Vic added.
Lexi was very talented in sports, but what she loved most was music and writing so it’s no surprise that Vic and her bonded over that. He’s the only one that has ever seen her songs or even heard her really sing, not the bad singing you do around friends; but real, full emotion and power singing before. Her opinion means a lot to him and vise versa is what I’m trying to say basically.
“Alright we’ll meet you there then.” I said.
We agreed to all meet up outside the studio at 4 before parting ways.
A Few Hours later.
“Okay so before you come in here, you need to understand that this is top secret, and you are now sworn to secrecy.” I said.
“I promise that everything that happens in the studio stays in the studio.” She said raising her hand while trying to keep a straight face.
“Alright let’s goooo.”
We walked in and Vic immediately pulled out his notebook and started showing Lexi all the lyrics he had so far and the ideas he had for the others.
“So how’d her appointment go?” I asked sitting next to Tony as he tuned his guitar.
“It was good, doctor said she’s making great progress, so she upped the calorie intake and thinks that she’ll be back to a healthy weight in no time.”
“That’s great man.”
“Yeah, I’m glad she’s getting better so fast, in no time she’ll be completely back to her old self again.”
“Hmm do you think you guys could play what you have so far, it would help me a lot to see how this line should go.” Lexi said.
“Yeah, of course,” Vic said hopping up and grabbing his guitar, “come on guys we’re gonna play what we have for Song for Isabelle.” We grabbed our stuff, followed Vic, and quickly set up.
“Ready?” We nodded and started playing.
Everytime I looked up, I could see Lexi taking notes through the glass and talking to our guy on the sound board, and couldn’t help but smile at how into it she was.
“Alright so,” She started as she walked in “Absolutely love it so far.” She smiled.
“Okay so Vic the first part, I think it should be like this instead, so that it will flow better, what do you think.”
He quietly sang to himself and nodded. “Yeah, that would work perfectly, what about this part though?”
“That’s all good, but when you sing ‘I wont be here in a year ‘ don't be afraid to add more emotion, your being hesitant and it's coming out kind of monotone.”
I smiled to myself and looked away. I don't know, what's come over me, but I can't help to feel this way.
Alexis’ POV
“Guys I’m hungryyy are y'all done yet” Mike groaned from the couch. We had been at the studio for a few hours now, and everyone was getting hangry, but Vic and I had been so into the lyrics that we had been ignoring them.
“Alright fiiinnnee, we’ll go home and eat, we were pretty much done anyways.” I smiled.
“Thanks a lot Alex.” Vic said gathering his things.
“It’s no problem at all, you know I love to help on your songs,” I smiled, “So what should we get to eat?”
“Actually sorry guys, I can’t eat with y’all, I have to meet someone.” Jaime said looking at his phone before leaving in a hurry. Weird.
“I’d be down for some pizza.” Mike said.
So we all grabbed our stuff and went to the nearest pizza joint, before going our separate ways.
Everything keeps going well, I'm afraid something will go wrong soon, let’s hope I can handle it.
The Next morning
“Hey Lex, can we talk?” Tony said walking into my room.
“Uh yeah, just let me change, and I’ll be down.”
Why must I jinx things. Should have knocked on a virgin or wood whatever the saying is.
I walked down stairs to see all 4 of them sitting on the couch with mixed expressions.
“What’s up?”
“So we got a call and we got asked to fill in on a few shows….” Tony started.
I sighed. What a bummer, I just got here and they’re leaving soon. What if I can’t keep up with my schedule while they’re gone or what if I start getting bad again? I don’t think I can do this if they’re gone.
“Yeah and we don't really know for sure yet how many they need us to do actually.” Vic added.
“Oh….when do you leave?”
“Uhm tomorrow, but”
“I don't want to leave you here by yourself so we thought we would ask if you wanted to come with us?” Tony said with a small smile.
“Are you serious?”
“Dead serious, we want you to come with us.” He smiles bigger at I let out a squeal.
“So, is that a yes?”
“YES! OF COURSE!” I jumped up in excitement. “I'm going to go start packing!”
“Wait who else is on the tour?”
“That’s a surprise.” They smiled.
“That’s no fun.” I said before running backup stairs and pulling out my suitcase.
I’ve never been on tour with the guys before, so to say the least I was beyond excited. I mean who wouldn’t be excited to go on tour with a few bands, see different places, watch the shows live and for free. I wonder who the other band it is, hopefully it's someone I like.
