Darling you'll be okay

Amelia's POV
I hear muffled voices around me and slowly open my eyes to see fluorescent lights above me. I tilt my head slowly to the side to see Vic, Mike, Jaime, Tony and Jack. Tony realises I'm awake and motions to the others to look at me. Vic and Mike look like they've been crying. I quickly glance down to make sure the covers are over my arms. They are.

"How are you feeling?" Tony asks, "I feel like complete shit to be honest" I reply, truthfully. Alex walks in carrying lots of meals from Mcdonalds, looking slightly shocked at me being awake. "When did you wake up?" He asks with a confused look on his face, haha he looks so cute doing that. "She woke up like 5 minutes ago." Jack said.

After handing out the meals, Vic gave me half of his, "I'm really tired" I say to Vic, which causes him to laugh, "you weren't awake for like 6 hours, how can you be tired?" I shrug my shoulders. I still feel sick and my head really hurts. Alex looks better than earlier though, which is good for him I guess.

The doctor walks in with a lot of papers in his hands, "is she ok" Mike blurts out, the doctor just ignores him and speaks, "I'm afraid to tell you, Amelia suffers from a rare type of Leukeamia. There is no way of treating this kind, and she will have 2 years at the most. I'm so sorry." He looks down at me sadly before leaving and I look up to see Vic and Mike both sobbing.

I just feel numb. I don't want to die like this. No this can't be happening. This has to be a nightmare. Jack leans over and hugs me and doesn't let go. "You're my best friend, I won't loose you. I'll do anything to help you I promise." He whispers making a tear run down my face.

Alex, Tony and Jaime are trying to calm Vic and Mike down, which is unsuccessful. I see them occasionally glancing over at me with sad looks on their faces. Why me? Out of everybody? I'm too young... I'm going to die.

"Can I have my phone and earphones?" Jack takes my phone out of his pocket and I put my earphones in, I'm not in the mood for people.

I believe that we all fall down sometimes.
