The Life and Lies of The How-To Manual

We had a couple of hours before it would be dark enough to start lighting off some fireworks. Jack and Zack had unloaded a few boxes of the explosives while Autumn, Tony, Jaime, and I all rested in the bus. Jaime wasn’t feeling as boiling hot and Tony’s ankle stopped burning up from the inside out.

“Jaime?” I asked him quietly.

“Mm?” He grumbled, not even really opening his eyes. I lay on his chest, head tucked under his chin. Autumn and Tony were snoring, a mess of limbs on the other couch.

“Are you going to light off fireworks?” I asked him softly. I really wanted to light off some explosives, but I didn’t want Jaime to be mad. It wouldn’t do our relationship any good to start fighting right before a good night.

“Yeah, sounds fun.” He mumbled, his hands looping around my neck. I bent over, kissing his nose quickly.

“Can….can I light some?” I asked softly. He opened his eyes, staring at me, assessing my mental health for a moment.

“I don’t want one to explode in your hands though. Apparently Jack was telling me that he got some pretty awesome but unstable fireworks. I don’t want you hurt.” He whispered. I sighed, pleading.

“Himes! Please?” I asked. Jaime rolled over, ignoring the question. I thought for a moment. How do you get your guy to do what you want?

Maybe it would’ve done me more good to read more Cosmo magazines than Revolver and Alt Press ones. I mean I don’t really love Cosmo that much, but they could’ve had some advice on this. I was open to anything, as long as it got me some fireworks.

While I was thinking, Jack and Alex came onto the bus, sweating from the heat. They started to rummage through the cabinets, on a hunt for food. Jack leaned against Alex’s side while the singer pulled out a bag of marshmallows. I shot them a glance.

“Hey, we’re saving those for later!” I complained. Alex whined and set them back on the shelf before reaching up for some crackers fruit snacks. Jack cheered softly as a snack pack landed in his hands. I smiled and watched as they talked quietly at the table. I went back to studying Jaime.

Could I bribe him with food? No, he doesn’t fall for that. Cuddles? I’d give in too easily and lose all persuasion. Hmm…what would work? Wait, wait, when in doubt, there was one way to try it.

The sex.

Just kidding, but close enough…

Seduction. I meant seducing Jaime, not the sexing him.

Man, I’m weird.

My eyes lit up with a new spark as the thought raced through my brain. Yes, this would work. All guys fall for it. Silly boys. Their species can be so easily manipulated sometimes. However, they sometimes are harder than thought to trick.

“Jaime.” I purred, sitting up so that I straddled his hips. One eye popped open, eye arching neatly in surprise. Both deep brown eyes lit up in surprise. He hummed a little in question.

“Yes, Ding?” He asked quietly. I titled my head, as if staring at him from an odd angle. I grinned slyly, like I knew something he didn’t know. My hands traced little circles on his firm abs.

“I just wanted to see if you’re awake.” I chuckled lowly, hair falling over my eyes slightly. My hands slid across his shirt up to his chest, lightly resting there as I leaned forward. His hands moved down to my waist, lightly wrapping around my body.

“I am most definitely awake.” He stuttered lightly. I leaned forward, hair tickling his cheek. His chest rose up and down as his breathing caught. Now I just had to up the seduction factor…

I leaned down, lightly placing my lips at the corner of his, moving at a tantalizingly slow speed to right over his, pressing down firmly. He let out a little moan before catching himself. I pressed myself harder onto him. His hands grabbed my hips. I chuckled, breaking away. He whined and his face fell into a pout.

“Hey, I was thinking…” I cooed as I brushed my lips against his earlobe, like I was letting out a little secret.

“What?” He asked softly. I had to resist laughing at his petty little begging words, his little wants that whimpered out at my slightest touch. One hand drifted to the hem of his shirt where it rode up on his chest and exposed skin, gently touching his bare hip. He gasped a little.

Alex and Jack fell silent, obviously taking note of what was happening. I ignored the duo.

“Perhaps, maybe, just maybe…” I tantalized, lips drifting down to the hollow behind his ear, nuzzling my nose there and making him grasp my hips harder. He lay still, waiting for me to finish. “…I could light off a few fireworks tonight, how about that? Make the sky brighter…” I whispered quietly. I pulled back gently as Jaime froze. His face went into a slightly chuckle.

“So all this was about fireworks? I don’t know, MD…” He shook his head. I sighed, tucking one piece of hair behind my ear and standing up.

“Okay, well bye.” I said as I started to walk away. I heard him gasp quietly and whimper. He grabbed my wrist lightly.

“Where are you going?”

“To my bunk, to read, to do something.” I shrugged, as if I was bored. I had to recover! Operation Seduce the Sexican needed a repossession step and quick! I had to act fast or I would lose him.

“Stay here.” He pleaded softly.

I was silent, turning my head as if I was going to walk away.

“Okay, maybe you can light off one or two.” He suggested quickly, in a desperate attempt to grab at straws and keep me here. Good! It worked! I just had a few more tricks up my sleeves to keep him right where I need him.

I straddled his hips again, leaning over and quickly pressing my lips against his, shutting off all communication. He pushed up towards me again, hands holding my hips down against him. His eyes were closed in pleasure, like he was drowning and he couldn’t find the sky again.

I broke away. “How about three…or four…” I suggested as my lips felt down his neck, leaving little kisses until I found his collarbone, brushing my teeth against that. He started to visibly shake.

“Okay, okay.” He whispered quickly. My hand traced circles against his hips, nails brushing his bare skin as I attached my lips to his jaw. He squirmed.

“And maybe more?” I asked, pressing my lips against his. When we broke away again, he nodded vigorously. “Whatever I want, promise?”

“Anything and everything. Promise.” He concluded as I stroked a lock of hair from his eyes. I laughed and kissed his nose. He looked puzzled as I stopped, just falling onto his chest.

“I think I’m going to hold you to that promise.” I snuggled into his neck. He took a shuddery breath at the realization of what he just did. I kissed his neck gently before closing my eyes. “Don’t break it.” I whispered.

“What just happened?” Jaime groaned. Jack and Alex let out a little ‘ooh!’ together.

“You just got done-diddly-do-da-done-did, son!” Jack laughed. Alex whacked his arm.

“The power of woman, dude. It’s like crack or cocaine. Used and abused.” Alex shook his head. I chuckled silently. Jaime groaned again. I stroked his jaw quietly.

“Done-diddly-do-da-ta-da, I did it!” I laughed quietly. Jaime snuck one hand around my waist, hitting my hip lightly.

“Hey, don’t blame me if a rocket blows up in your eyes.” He chuckled, kissing my forehead. I grumbled.

“Stop being a butt-queef.”

“Okay.”
