The Night Can Be Deadly

Vic's POV

"Please Ris?!" I said clasping my hands together in begging form. "Vic so help me God if you go on your knees I will punch you in the face." Iris says before walking into the kitchen. "Why won't you come with me? I wrote you a song." "Vic, I have work, I'm so sorry." Pouting a bit, she sighs and wraps her arms around me. "Tell ya what, after we do the shoot, I'll come down to the studio and hear the song deal?" Smiling brightly, I nod, "Deal, but I need to go now or I'll be late." I take her head in my hands and kiss her forehead twice before kissing her lips. Pressing our foreheads together I murmur, "I love love love you." "And I love love love you!" She says tapping my nose ring. With that, we let go and I enter my car before driving to the studio. On my way there, I notice some weird dude lurking the street. He looked weird. Peeling skin, covered in blood, and he had a limp.

I just shake it off and park in the building's lot. After collecting my things, I rush inside to where we work. I was a minute late. It's not my fault there was traffic!! "You're a minute late Vic." Jaime said from behind his bass, next to him was Jessica. Since I thought Iris could come, they could too since she needed the company. Don't get me wrong, everyone one of us love Iris but she wouldn't just want to be in a room of boys with no one to talk to. "Where's Iris?" Alysha asked walking in with a water. "She can't come. Work. But she said she'll drop by to hear the song." I beam. "Cool, so we can just chill in the break room thing?" Erin asks, standing. "Go right ahead." "Where the fuck is Kellin?" I ask looking around.

"We have no idea." Mike replied, twirling a drumstick. "Isn't he supposed to be early so he can record those vocals?" Tony asks. "Yes and he's la- " "Sorry I'm late guys! Katelynne woke late." Behind him Katelynne walked in, beaming. "Aw fuck you two had morning sex!" We groan together. "Hey! I see that twinkle in your eye too! Remember when you first had sex with Iris in high school?! Came to school beaming and all happy and I found out after! You gotta admit you had morning sex too!" Kellin protests with a finger as Katelynne goes where the girls are. "Yeah I did." I laugh. "Up top!" He says before high fiving me. Once we settle down, Kellin goes into the booth.

"Alright, let's start." I say clapping my hands together.

An hour has passed and Kellin was still recording. It was a small part and he still messed it up either by laughing or forgetting. "The thought of you is no fucking fu- " All of the sudden, a huge gunshot rang into the hair. Followed by more and then a huge boom. A helicopter could be heard from a distance. "What the fuck?!" I ask before dashing outside followed by the guys. "Holy shit." Mike gasps. There are helicopters surrounding everything. Gunshots ring all over the place and there is a huge traffic jam. "Do you smell that?" Tony asks. That's when you smell some kind of metallic smell. Blood.

"What the hell is going on?" We see people in uniforms, shooting at people. But those people aren't people, they look like fucking monsters. Ripped up clothes, growling, clawing, drenched in blood, trying to eat things. That's when we saw one of those drenched in blood monsters grab a man and eat him to pieces, his shrieks and shouts heard from miles away. "Did you see that he fucking ate that guy!!!" Mike shouts. "Guys....do you think this is the end of the world?" Jaime asks. Jaime is slightly obsessed with that shit. So he knows his shit. "Maybe, do we know how to defend ourselves?" Tony asks. A chorus of 'no's' go around. Well shit.

"What are those things?" I ask. "I don't know, they remind me of ghouls though with those eyes." "Nah they remind me of geeks from the carnival remember those people?" Alysha asks. "Ghouls, Geeks, whatever." "Guys come here!" Erin shouts. We enter the studio again and find her watching the news."Get out of this city as soon as possible.....traffic jams everywhere.......the dead are rising.....the end of the world?.....undead are here......save yourselves, leave now......don't look back......go somewhere safe as soon as possible. Get out of San Diego now..." The TV went static until it finally turned off along with the lights. A small flicker of light comes on from Mike's lighter then goes Alysha's. "I need to call Iris and see if she's okay." They all nod before I pull out my phone and click the first speed dial. As soon as I do, the line goes dead and a faint beep can be heard. The power is out, the phones don't work. "Son of a bitch!" I screech. "What's wrong?" Erin asks. "The phone lines are dead. I can't reach her. We need to go to her work!"

"Are you crazy?! Her work is across town, and we need to evacuate as soon as possible." "No, are you crazy?! That's my fucking baby sister!!! I'm with Vic." Kellin says wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "Me too, she's like my sister." Katelynne says standing with us. Soon, everyone is on my side, facing Jaime. "You're either with us or you can die alone. Sorry man, we love you but that's Iris." He sighs and joins us. Minutes later, the gunshots, honking, shouting are silent. Mike looks out the window and gasps. "They're all gone. We're the only ones left." "Good, that makes it easier to get to her work." Kellin says. "Alright, there is one way to kill the geeks. We're calling them whatever he want okay? But the head. Get the brain and you should be good."

"Okay, now grab a weapon!" I say before picking up my guitar. Hey, it's handy and heavy. Jaime grabs his bass, Tony grabs his guitar, Mike gets a bag full of cymbals and a knife, Alysha gets a butcher knife, Kellin takes a guitar and the others find knives. We all grab what we need and give it a second before quietly leaving the building. There is no sight of Geeks so we're good for now. We're halfway through the town when we hear that growl. I hang my guitar on my shoulder and take out my knife before sneaking behind it. After stabbing it in the head, it falls to the ground. "Wow Vic, you're good." "I know right!?" I laugh. Finally, we arrive at the office.

"Holy shit." Erin gasps. Geeks are all over the door, blocking our entrance. "Shit, what do we do?" Tony questions. "We need a distraction. They go for loud noises and shit. Also, make sure to check if one of them is Iris, we don't need to waste time." Jaime informs. "Well, what loud noise can we find?" Mike asks. "That." Tony points to a car opposite from the building. "And how will that work?" Jessica asks. "Uuhhhhh, we need to set an alarm or something." "Or, we can put something on the horn and let it honk." I suggest. "Smart." Mike snaps before sneaking his way to kill a Geek. Once he does, he drags it to the car and places it inside as if it were driving, head on horn.

Within a minute, the Geeks are surrounding the car, clawing and growling. "Good, good, let's go!" Tony whisper yells before we all enter the building. As soon as we enter the building, Mike and I cover the doors with heavy objects. "Iris?!" I call. "Iris?" Kellin calls also. "C'mon, her office is down here." I say before taking off. Once we reach her office, it's closed. She has to be in here. But when I open the door, it's empty. No one is there. "Iris honey?" I coo. Nothing at all. The one thing missing is the picture that was on her desk. The one Mike took. Did she take it? She can't be missing now. We needed to leave! "Guys she's not here. But someone took that picture." I say pointing. "IRIS!???" Kellin screeches breaking down doors.

"FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!!!!" He screeches jamming stuff into other stuff. "Okay, we need a plan. First we need to stop at the gun shop where there is guns and weapons. And we can get a bow and arrow for Iris when we find her. She's good with anything. Then, we go to each and everyone's house and get like clothes and shit. Then, we see where next." "We can't leave San Diego, she could be anywhere!" I exclaim. "I know we're not. When we find her we will. Okay just everyone rest up." Jaime explains before drawing it on a paper with a marker. I groan and sit next to Kellin as Jaime explained the plan again. Once everyone agreed he said,


"Good, we start tomorrow."
