*Vic Pov

Skylar and I walked up to my parents door. Papa let me in, and once we were in the door, Mama ran over and hugged me.

"Victor!" She cooed. I chuckled. Mama released me, and hugged Skylar. I looked at the living room beyond the two and could see my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents all glaring at Skylar. Mama released Skylar. "This is the Fuentes family!" She turned Skylar around so she could see. She knew why they were glaring at her, and she immediately put her wall up. Mama didn't notice though. "Victor! Introduce her!" She commanded. I walked over to her side and wrapped my arms around her waist. She was standing very stiff and protected, until she realized it was me. She relaxed, but only a little.

"This is Skylar Smith. She is my girlfriend." I said to my disapproving family. They just stared at us. I saw my cousin Amelia shoot me a sympathetic stare. She was also dating someone who the family disapproved of. Besides me, the guy had done some terrible things, but he loves her, and who am I to say they can't?

"Skylar dear, make yourself at home, and Victor, I need help with the tamales." Mama walked away.

"I'm sorry Skylar, talk to the girl in the blue dress and gold hoops. Her name is Amelia, and she's the most understanding of them all." I whispered, and followed Mama, feeling guilty for leaving her.

*Skylar Pov

I stood there not knowing what to do. They all just, stared. There was a knock at the door and I looked at the door.

"Are you going to answer the door, or keep standing there being a waste of space?" One of them laughed. They all started laughing and I opened the door. Outside was Oli. I sighed in relief. He stepped inside and hugged me.

"Hello Skylar." He said. I didn't want to let go off him, and face Vic's judgmental family.

"Hey Oli, I thought you left back to the UK!" I smiled. He let go of me.

"And go back to my lonely flat? Hell no! Besides I'd be leaving my best girl here." I rolled my eyes.

"Oli you're stupid." I smirked.

"Skylar your a bloody wanker." He smirked back.

"Whatever Oli, don't be such a-" I was cut off by another nameless person in Vic's family.

"Is he your boyfriend too, or just a client!" One of them insulted. I tensed up, unintentionally.

"Stop it you guys! You do the same thing to anyone any of us bring to meet you that doesn't have a perfect past! Remember when Alexandra brought home a guy with tattoos? Remember my boyfriend who has been in jail before? She was a fucking sex slave and you treat her like shit. Yes she did some underhanded things to get away, but wouldn't you? She doesn't deserve any of the shit you guys are giving her so fuck off!" Amelia said. She strutted over to me.

"Just disregard everything they said. They just don't know how to react." She smiled.

"I'm sorry that I left you alone with my family." Vic whispered in my ear, and snaked his arms around my waist.

"It's okay, I just don't expect them to come around to the thought of us anytime soon." I rested my arms on top of Vic's.

"I knew that coming here baby." He mumbled. I shook Vic's arms off of me and turned around.

"You knew?!?" I said at a hushed tone.

"Look, we'd have to get over them sometime and besides, Amelia likes you right? I mean it took her like five minutes to like you. Don't forget though today's reason is my mom's tamales." He smirked.

"They can't be that good." I crossed my arms over my chest. Vic ran out of the room and reappeared with a tamale on a plate.

"Here try." He held out a fork to me. I unwrapped the tamale and then took a little bit of it on my fork. I opened my mouth and put my fork filled with tamale inside. I gasped as flavor filled my mouth.

"Oh my god, it's so worth it." I gasped, mouth full of food. Vic laughed.

"See I'm always right." He smirked.

So I started writing this yesterday, and then my shitty phone deleted it. I typed it up again on my computer and changed a few things. I like it so much better.
