Don't Worry, It's Just The End Of The World

I remember when I first met Louis. We were both in a hospital room, but for different reasons. I was in there because I had been hit by a car. The driver was under the influence of alcohol. I was just a random who got hit. It wasn't like the other times I had been in a hospital.

I remember it clearly. I was walking home from school all alone. I was crossing the street and didn't see it coming. I felt something push me and I flew off of the ground. The second my head hit the floor, everything was black. The next thing I remember I heard hushed arguments coming from the other side of the room.

Louis, was a different story. She was in there because someone deliberately hurt her, trying to kill her. Andrew.

I remember her telling me about it.

~Flashback~

"Why are you in here? Who was that guy?" I asked, after the weird guy left my body facing towards her. She turned her head towards me looking at me.

"He is my boyfriend Andrew. I love him lots, but he has a temper and is currently not happy with me." She sighed.

"Did he put you in here?" I asked, alert.

"Yeah. I was pregnant and I lost the baby." I heard a few sobs. "I-I-I am not-stable enough for-for my body to keep it." She said between sobs, practically whispering the last part.

"He hurt you because of it?" I asked already knowing what the answer would be. She nodded her head yes. I sat up in my bed and swung my feet over the right part and touched my feet down. I tried to walk over to her bed, but felt a tug at my forearm. I looked down to see a needle in it, with a long tube attached. I looked over at her with sympathicily and trying to hide my confusion.

"It's morphine that they have you on for pain." She turned so that her back was facing me and cried herself to sleep.
