Lilly's POV~

I pulled up and parked on the cliff. I yanked the keys out of the ignition and wiped tears from my eyes. I know I love Mike, but if that baby is his.....I don't know if I'll be able to deal with it. I guess that's why I just dumped him. Who knows? He may not even try to get me back. If that baby turns out to be Mike's, he'll want to be a part of it's life, which would mean him being a part of Alysha's life, and in turn I'd no longer be in his life. It was a trade off, one that would rip our relationship apart.

I stood out of my car and stretched, then walked over and carefully sat on the edge of the rocks, dangling my feet over the side. Closing my eyes, I leaned back and took in a deep breath. I felt the rock crumble and my eyes shot open in panic as I realized I was sliding off the edge. I turned and grabbed for one of the larger rocks behind me but my hand missed and I began to fall. I screamed out with my arms in the air and thought for sure I was about to plummet 50 feet to my death, but two unfamiliar, rough hands grabbed my arms and kept me from falling. The person gripped my wrists and pulled me back up.

"That was a close one," a deep voice rumbled. I turned around to look at my savior and furrowed my brow. I don't recognize him, but I kind of want to hear his voice again. As if reading my mind, he spoke again. "So I take it you weren't planning on jumping?" he asked, raising his brow. I shook my head, and turned to look down at the large piece of rock that had fallen and almost taken me along to it's shattered grave. I turned back and cautiously stepped forward, then looked up at the man who'd saved me. He flashed a bright smile and widened eyes.

"What's your name, beautiful?" he asked. I almost snorted and said 'taken' as was my usual response, but then I realized....I'm not taken anymore. Instead, I smiled back at him and stuck out my hand. "Lillian Boyde, incredibly pleased to meet you since you saved me from that," I said, nodding towards the broken cliff. He nodded and shook my hand. "My name's Jack," he replied, still grinning."And trust me, the pleasure was all mine. However, I would like one thing in return for my keeping you from falling to your death, that is, if you are willing."

I nodded for him to continue, and he took the cue, grabbing my hand again in the process. "Would you do me the honor of accompanying me for dinner tonight?" he asked, still smiling. I thought it over. Well, Mike and I are broken up until he gets his shit together, so why not? "I'd love to, Jack," I replied, and he bent down and kissed my hand, causing me to blush. "Great! may I pick you up at say, 6:30?" he asked, and I nodded. "Awesome. Well, I gotta get going for now, but here's my number, text me your address and I'll see you tonight gorgeous, okay?" I nodded again and he went in for a hug, sneaking a kiss on my cheek as he pulled away to give me the slip of paper with his number on it.

We parted ways and on the drive back home, I was thinking over everything that could happen if I told Alli I was going out with a boy tonight. Knowing her, she'd try to mother me and veto it. I love her to death, but I'm not a little girl anymore. I can make my own decisions, and one of those decisions is going to be going on this date without Alli constantly knowing my whereabouts. Time to grow up, Lilly.

Vic's POV~

"Hey babe, I know what we can do before our bedtime date tonight," I said quietly as we left the nursery. "Oh yeah? What's that?" she asked, closing the door behind us. "Dinner at the cafe, just like we did every third Friday night back in high school."
"Oh, you mean last year?" she asked, laughing slightly. I rolled my eyes and laughed as well. "Yeah, but Alli-bear, it's been so long since we've been. I'm sure Jaime would love to watch the twins for us tonight," I said, softly nudging her with my elbow. She giggled.
"You know, I bet he would. Plus, we totally deserve a date night," she said, nodding her head. "Great! And plus, we won't have to travel so much now since we live in the same city as the cafe. How's 6:30 sound?" I asked. "It's a date!" she replied.
